  • In this video, I'll be giving you a full tour of my newest shelter, the Springbar Leisure Port. I've had my eye on this shelter ever since I bought my very first Springbar. The Leisure Port follows the same design principles as all other Springbar tents and since it requires only six stakes, it's incredibly quick to setup! Thank you all for watching and comment down below!

Lag bolts with washers are the way to go! Especially with the bigger Springbar tents. I have a Skyliner and the lag bolts are a HUGE time saver.

Great review, I have one of these too. When I bought mine, I picked it up from the factory in SLC. Jack Kirkham happened to be there and showed me that if you want to maximize the shade component, you can have the 2 fabric inserts zipped on, get some extra poles and guy-rope and with a few more stakes raise the side panel and the 2 extra panels, giving you a great deal of shade. If you have a bigger group and lots of sun, it's a nice way to double the shade coverage from the original footprint.

Nice! Yeah I’m really enjoying this shelter. This sounds like a really cool way to set it up, I’m going to try this next time! Thanks for watching and sharing this setup variation!

Thanks for putting the review together! Comparing the Leisure Port to the Snow Peak shelters (Hexa Evo Pro); if you could only have one, which one?

Ahh this is tough, but I think it really depends if you want the option to have an inclosed shelter or just a tarp. They are both very useful and each have their own advantages. The Evo Pro gives you ample covered area while being significantly lighter and smaller to bring along. However, the Leisure Port gives you more privacy with fabric panels and can create a bug free zone for warmer weather camping. I like using both for different situations, but I will say you can't turn the evo pro inter a shelter, so there is more versatility going with the Leisure Port.

Wow, thank you so much on your great review on the shelter. Besides the Snow peak, I really like Springbar tents. Also thank you for clarifying about having four mesh, going to have to buy another set. Which is fine. So I will have to saving my money for the Vagabond, then this shelter. But going to the Grand Canyon first for our anniversary, using the Alpha Breeze. Thanks again!😃
