hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about parrot trainer try Dalz Parrot Tips Discovery (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my neighbor got amazing results with it.
My cockatiel is probably gonna kill me if I try this so I'm just gonna not do this XD. Your bird seems like it's very relaxed which is why it lets you do stuff. Mine is just crazy and acts like a crack head.
I have budgies but they can’t learn this, I am still taming a few of them. The one I hand fed is scared of hands due an unknown error I made during hand feeding period... He’s doing better now and I am starting step up training. He follows me everywhere but I can’t touch him too much with hands...
I train animals for a living and I love how well you described this. You get clicker training and bird behavior. Very positive and I am as well. Thank you for this tutorial I am taking on my first Parrot clients this week and was looking for some foundation behaviors to start with.
I love this kind of training. I am waiting on my 1st baby so I have watched tons of videos & Flock- Talk is my favorite so far because of the care & knowledge. So Thanks!
what the hell my parakeet called me a fucktard how is that possible like when I got him he wasn't even 1, and he's never heard the word fucktard but I was trying to get him to grab onto me but he called me a fucktard!?
Thanks you so much for keeping so many iterations of the training session IN THE VIDEO! People need to understand that training takes PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE, and consistency, and repetition repetition.
When should I introduce the "shooting hand" cue? In the video your hands are never in this shooting position so I don't actually know when should I start 'shooting' my bird.
Hello! You are very nice in teaching parrots to do tricks. This is becase of I asking you. Can I train this trick to my budgie? I heard that the budgies can't learn this because they hate laying on their back.
Thank you! :) I very like my little budgie. He is the most lovely creature I ever see. :D And I hope that I can teach everything to him. One more question. How can I teach my bird to don't affraid of my hand if I grab him. He don't bite me, just I see he don't like it because he try to escape out of my hand. He let me do everything with him, only this not.
Thaseen fareed do you have a video? I haven’t see my cockatiel lying on his back(on his own) tha’ts why i don’t teach this trick. I only tried to teach my sunconure because he can lay on his own. Thanks
I don’t even own a bird.... never have. Never will. But after skimming through and seeing this video - my next pet will most def me a bird! That is so bad ass . Like I said - not only do I not own a bird - nor ever have - nor am I looking to purchase and/or adopt a little budgie but i saw this in my suggested videos for some odd reason (???) lol. But my curiosity got the best of me and I had to come and see what this amazing-ness was all about. And wow- this bird is so awesome. Good job training him or her. You did a great job! You should be a professional bird trainer - if there is such a thing. Lol. The ending was the best just seeing birdie play dead along with the music and sound effects lol so cute !
Absolutely, please do more! And by the way, playing it in real time is very beneficial for us learners. Truly, it's far from boring. No need to speed the footage.
I know I’m super late but it’d be great if you showed us how to get the bird comfortable with flipping over in the first place. Mine just gets freaked out.
It's a process called positive reinforcement. By addding something the bird likes the bird learns to perform an action to receive what it knows it will get.
Michelle V maybe you need to bond with your bird more in general before she is comfortable enough with you to do this trick. you may have bonded with your bird but clearly not enough. or maybe your bird just shouldn't do the trick in general because maybe it doesn't like flipping over. bit most likely you need to bond with it morw
Great tutorial! I would love to hear a light click to know when you are pushing the clicker. That would help to know at what point you are commanding and rewarding the bird as you transition through.
GirlGamers SWE YES, PLEASE DO. it will be a excellent training experience for them. treats, as far as they go, can vary. if your bird likes apples, use diced apples as a treat, give him a piece when he is hood. or if he likes his greens, offer him a bight of some. or go to your local Walmart and look for one of those bird treat things in the pet section, they look like granola bars but are made for birds. break a piece and gif it to the bird
Comfort being in their backs for medical examinations/ stress free care/ observation. Can easily check their keel to measure body mass, check feet for sores/ redness, feather condition, their vent for obstruction/ cleanliness. Trust building, engagement, socializing, Confidence building Mental enrichment through problem solving, trick training

BruhhItsAurora So as the Owner 😍
BruhhItsAurora learn .to spell
Virginia Verhaeghe you learn to spell, you don't put a period in the middle of the sentence.
Emily Guccii that's not spelling it's grammar
GlitterGirl53 Wrong again. It's punctuation. Grammar and spelling have to do with the words themselves, not the punctuation marks.
I train animals for a living and I love how well you described this. You get clicker training and bird behavior. Very positive and I am as well. Thank you for this tutorial I am taking on my first Parrot clients this week and was looking for some foundation behaviors to start with.

Absolutely, please do more! And by the way, playing it in real time is very beneficial for us learners. Truly, it's far from boring. No need to speed the footage.
I trained my parrot to attack everyone who walks in front my TV while I play CoD. Legit.
7:00 that was so CUTE!!!!!!
just a question, what do you have in your left hand?
A clicker
Fadil Prince it is a clicker, you click it when the bird does something right and then give it a tread. it makes training a lot easier
Fadil Prince it's a clicker to let the birds know that they did something good along with a treat
A clicker for treats
one hand has a hidden treat the other has a clicker like a light switch sort of
I know I’m super late but it’d be great if you showed us how to get the bird comfortable with flipping over in the first place. Mine just gets freaked out.
It's a process called positive reinforcement. By addding something the bird likes the bird learns to perform an action to receive what it knows it will get.

Comfort being in their backs for medical examinations/ stress free care/ observation. Can easily check their keel to measure body mass, check feet for sores/ redness, feather condition, their vent for obstruction/ cleanliness.

Does the bird have to be hungry to train?
How could I not like this video
Just because of this video my bird already knows how to play dead
This is the best video ive seen today
What kind of treats are you giving her/him ?
Awesome! Do you give a verbal command to go along with your fist twisting signal?
My white bird learned to play dead without any training, she even still played dead while my parents were digging her into the ground.
Awesome video.. couldn't help but notice your sweater in the video. Bc secondary Schools.. are you Canadian?
Love your videos! Great job! And thank you.
first off I wanna say thank you so much for making all these videos you truly are the bird whisperer. I am a new soon to be pacific parrolet dad and I have some questions. First off I'd like to know at what age do they start memorizing and learning tricks? Also what is that clicker for and how does that affect the parrolet? Once again thank you for making these videos they're super helpful and also fun to watch.
omg the end was adorable
Me being a ad bird owner, watching the cute lil bird instead of paying attention to the steps

My bird is so good at all tricks on a perch but the second you try to train him on a table he thinks it's play time and jumps around 😂
