      If you follow Chris Video it all make sense and easy to understand one raid soft on the horse Watch a few Video you soon start to understand what Chris is tell us He never hard on the horse it give the horse a chance to understand what you asking for and it give you a chance to understand what the horse his like. never two horse are the same but follow Chris Video you soon get what he tell us and what to ask for from the horse. it all makes sense

    Carol, how did he teach the horse to keep the 'arc' towards him? Correcting consistently with lead line when he takes his head away?

    No disrespect to Chris,,but he is wrong concerning the "Traditional Vaquero" method of starting colts..In the True Tradition,a snaffle bit is not utilized..

      I agree. The snaffle was a shortcut that began when the Vaquero method moved east into Nevada. Using the snaffle first is more accurately an innovation that distinguishes the Buckaroo method from the Vaquero method. The idea that snaffle first is "Traditional Vaquero" is a common, but incorrect belief.

      @@johnkelly8919 Yet i hear it come from many and not one of them, actually grew up in the tradition or culture. As you stated, misinformation parroted and passed along to the ill informed.
