Yes clown is unfun and came be hella strong if you are toxic and camping but people can at least abuse his haste bottles if given the chance but at least people can try to run away from his bottles to connect loops together making it a high risk high reward type of system unlike SM who’ll have the advantage for she doesn’t have to aim she can mindlessly walk and connect drones together and you’ll have what feels like a permanent slow down while she has what feels like a permanent haste affect now which is just not fun with how she can destroy loops and force you to play her shitty game while always slowling down time to do gens with a high risk no reward system SOOOOOO is it fun to play against her? BHVR method of fixing overly controversial characters: -Nerf them to the ground. -Assure that they will be reworked in the future and gives us the premise that they're not incompetent and they play their own game. -Completely forgets about them or just sticks with the original nerf. All she needed was the take away the haste effect on traps, leave hindered at 10% and make only one scan line so players can actually learn how to use the rotate feature and make her more complex to play.

Teammates failing skill checks, bringing the killer to the gen you're working on, spreading Plague to you if you're nearby, dropping a pallet you wanted to use in a chase. Skull merchant was not a weak killer bro, she could lock areas down indefinitely with no repercussions, and made it impossible to do the last gens. They literally added a mechanic in the game to stop gens from getting kicked so much to help survivors that're stuck against a gen defending killer because of her. Her gameplay caused a nerf to every killer and every single (besides ruin) anti gen perk in the game. There's no chance she was a weak killer. Also the nurse by design isn't good for the game which is why she's so strong, but she has been nerfed a multitude of times, including every single one of her addons besides the flannel, she lost blinks, the ability to interact while fatigued including looking while she is fatigued, reduced her movement speed, her lunge's range after blink 3 separate times, and many more things. She's still strong of course but saying they haven't nerfed her is ignorant
I got an idea remember the undetected that she had before they should bring it back, but make it an add-on, but can activate one drone to get undetected
freddy when you're awake, trapper and hag when you have a survivor follow them and disarm traps, legion when you don't heal, xenomorph when you have a lot of turrets set up on loops 👀
Against the rest of the community's opinion, I don't think these changes are necessarily bad, the problem is there's no buff to compensate, imo she needed a rework, not to be completely butchered; for example, I would massively speed up her scan line speed since now there's only one; the haste and hindered nerfs are ok, but I would have give her something new instead of leaving her being less than bad.

I'm a merchant main who doesn't support chess merchant however I believe these nerfes are ok overall I believe the only being able to see the scan lines from 16m seems to be a way to make her balance
Removing the teeth and head from a chainsaw is about as bad as putting in a shed until you repair it. There is no reason to just nerf who into the ground completely, instead of killswitching just to do the rework

to be fair she was confusing to play against as a new player. these changes make it easier for new players to understand how her drones work. Survivors literally did not know they were still getting scanned when drones were in stealth mode . :) :) :)

They need to rework her from the ground up. Everything about her is bad. Her visual design doesn’t make any sense for a horror game. Plus the whole drone thing was cool back in 2012 when bo2 had them.
I think the Hindered % reduction is acceptable. But 1 scan line is too much of a nerf, it's easy to run pass. And it is almost useless while chase survivor.
Honestly only change she needed was the haste being removed And maybe reducing the hindered penalty to like 7% or 8% Imo 10% is too much but 5% does nothing to help her The other 3 nerfs where overkill
I just might eat my words. These changes I feel like this just removes the haste which ok and the 5% hinder is also ok. Sure they removed a scan line but they stay on which now come think of it, it just might be a new play style. Means I have to pay more attention to the drones which ill admit id forget about them from time to time so this nerf that people including me are freaking out about might just be nothing but an overreaction.
They should have just upped the stealth anf gotten rid of the offensive ability of the drone. Maybe aura reading/instinct in drone radius while she has undetectable. Still weak as piss but this is worse than Freddy
SM is what happens when BHVR doesnt design killers, but instead cobbles together from multiple killer designs that failed internal testing. She had a bloated kit full of powers that were mid by themselves. And when you combine all those powers, you get a camel when youre trying to make a horse.

Teammates failing skill checks, bringing the killer to the gen you're working on, spreading Plague to you if you're nearby, dropping a pallet you wanted to use in a chase. All are examples of your teammates bringing you down in a match, including giving Skull Merchant a bit of haste mid chase
Add-ons were changed, too. You should show that too.
I'm not angry, because i know for sure Adriana will have a rework for the new year, around February and March. And when that day will come, heavy rain and thunder storms will fall onto survivors heads before they will die

Skull merchant was not a weak killer bro, she could lock areas down indefinitely with no repercussions, and made it impossible to do the last gens. They literally added a mechanic in the game to stop gens from getting kicked so much to help survivors that're stuck against a gen defending killer because of her. Her gameplay caused a nerf to every killer and every single (besides ruin) anti gen perk in the game. There's no chance she was a weak killer. Also the nurse by design isn't good for the game which is why she's so strong, but she has been nerfed a multitude of times, including every single one of her addons besides the flannel, she lost blinks, the ability to interact while fatigued including looking while she is fatigued, reduced her movement speed, her lunge's range after blink 3 separate times, and many more things. She's still strong of course but saying they haven't nerfed her is ignorant

Against the rest of the community's opinion, I don't think these changes are necessarily bad, the problem is there's no buff to compensate, imo she needed a rework, not to be completely butchered; for example, I would massively speed up her scan line speed since now there's only one; the haste and hindered nerfs are ok, but I would have give her something new instead of leaving her being less than bad.
The nerfs are just to calm people down on hating going against her so much while they make an actual rework.
Any skull merchant nerf is good news bc I think most people would just rather not play against her even when she’s balanced.
that's more of a "holy shit, there are too many little pissbabies playing this game" rather than a "this character is so strong that we had to make her unplayable"

It was a long time coming, but she's finally getting axed. I'd feel bad about it, but SM players work so hard to make me hate them that I just don't feel bad about anything that they do to her.
The feeling of trying to loop her but the entire area is covered with drones, you get claw trapped, and she had haste was a sad one.
I thought you had to crouch in order to get to her drones.whenever I just run through her shit I get scanned regardless if I stop before the scan lines or not

I mained killer, and I think her kit was overloaded. There is so much she gets for very little effort. They needed to tone down something at least. This was brutal, and I am sure they should find a balance. Also, she is not fun to play against for newer players.@@theintruder6085

I'm a merchant main who doesn't support chess merchant however I believe these nerfes are ok overall I believe the only being able to see the scan lines from 16m seems to be a way to make her balance

to be fair she was confusing to play against as a new player. these changes make it easier for new players to understand how her drones work. Survivors literally did not know they were still getting scanned when drones were in stealth mode . :) :) :)

@@radiant-chris survivors aren't going to know they can crouch to avoid detection unless they read up on the ability. so yeah it does require a lot of brain cells to understand how some killers work. Survivors aren't even aware that The Dark Lord can track survivors with Wolf Form.
@@teganlov4638 Well, doesn't really speak for those survivors you're referring to. I'm staying with my opinion - it doesn't take much to understand the killer's powers in this game. At this point survivors only know how to DC against killers they don't like or killing themselves on first hook at 5 gens for whatever reasons. It's really hard to be a survivor main at this point.

They need to rework her from the ground up. Everything about her is bad. Her visual design doesn’t make any sense for a horror game. Plus the whole drone thing was cool back in 2012 when bo2 had them.
I think the Hindered % reduction is acceptable. But 1 scan line is too much of a nerf, it's easy to run pass. And it is almost useless while chase survivor.
Honestly only change she needed was the haste being removed
And maybe reducing the hindered penalty to like 7% or 8%
Imo 10% is too much but 5% does nothing to help her

I just might eat my words. These changes I feel like this just removes the haste which ok and the 5% hinder is also ok. Sure they removed a scan line but they stay on which now come think of it, it just might be a new play style. Means I have to pay more attention to the drones which ill admit id forget about them from time to time so this nerf that people including me are freaking out about might just be nothing but an overreaction.
They should have just upped the stealth anf gotten rid of the offensive ability of the drone. Maybe aura reading/instinct in drone radius while she has undetectable. Still weak as piss but this is worse than Freddy

SM is what happens when BHVR doesnt design killers, but instead cobbles together from multiple killer designs that failed internal testing.
She had a bloated kit full of powers that were mid by themselves. And when you combine all those powers, you get a camel when youre trying to make a horse.
