The word theology comes from two Greek words, Theos which means “God,” and logos, which means “word”. Thus, Theology literally means ‘Discourse about God’ Theology is not simply concerned with the interpretation of concepts used in any one religion, but very often it has to defend itself against the objections of sceptics, agnostics and the attacks of other religions on it.
