Interpreting is far more than just knowing both languages. You need to quickly summarize the main idea. It's a pretty huge effort. We are forever thankful to all the ones that allows us to fully appreciate our favorite VTubers.
Pikamee was the first Vtuber I ever saw, and it was in that minecraft clip with Tomoshika... You know the one. Without clippers and live-translators I wouldn't be able to appreciate great moments like that, so as an only EN speaking fan, thanks for all the hard work
While it's fun watching people like Pikamee ramble on in a language you don't understand, it's even better knowing what she actually talks about (when she's not doing the translating herself), so I thank you (and by extent, your fellow translators) for the service you're doing. On a side note, I love how humble she is, even after getting as big as she is now. I don't recall her ever truly bragging about something, or acting like she's above everyone else.

I'm pretty new to the channel so I've only ever live translated a handful of times, but I'm also sometimes translating some of the (back seating) comments into Japanese, and Pika often picks them up and is very thankful to you guys for making her streams enjoyable. So yeah, the same goes to all you guys. Don't worry and know that there are some translators helping you guys connect with Pika as well. ;)
LiveTL! IIRC, what it does is that it allows you to take anyone that is translating with an [EN] prefix in chat (or any other language, for that matter) and have it as live subtitles on the video

A quick Google search of "LiveTL" should do the trick; it's an extension on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, and many others, with support for Android on the way :o Also correction to what I said earlier: it doesn't put the translations on the video itself as subtitles. However, it does make it more convenient and easier to catch translations in a log separate from live chat, so if you're watching Pikamee during, say, a collab (or watching any other JPN-only VTuber, for that matter), this could definitely come in handy!

That and you need to be able to know how to rearrange the sentence structure of the languages in case they are different
I need to learn JP because some of the smaller JP Vtubers don't have the luxury of translators
