The issue is that parents don't know how to behave like a parent. They think we gave birth so we can do anything to kids. They treat kids like a slave no matter if the children are 20 25 30 years old. They don't value their kids decision they mis treat in from of others. Kuch parents ka bas nhi chlata shadi shuda bachon k rooms main ghuss k btatain k aysy nhi aysy krna. Every parent is not like this but majority is almot same.
That’s because we are dependent on them throughout our life. We don’t share responsibility properly while living with our parents. Here in the West, the children start doing house chores at a very young age and earn money even when they are teenagers. They save for their education and borrow from the Govt. They leave the house at 18 and live on their own so they know the importance of money and savings. If we want our parents to have boundaries, we will have to switch to western culture, which is not as good as it seems from far away.
I think u r wrong here ... Parents know better then children . They have life experiences but kids don't understand even they don't want to understand and listen to there parents . Kids think they r know all things ... Yea some parents rudely talk with their kids they don't give any freedom . But not everyone . Try to understand your parents efforts struggles for their kids better future .

However, parents living through their kids lives is the norm here. Parents are also human beings. Experiences don't mean anything if humans don't learn from them and many human beings do not learn from them. That includes parents as well. Stop living in this slave mentality. Yes, we should respect our parents but they're not incapable of being wrong either.
I knew a person who actually went to his newly wedded son's room and told him how to do it right in the middle of the night. He was more of a pest than a father. So in the end the whole family lost it after years of him being the boss and after one of his sons insulted him he left the house.
