Hi, do you have a suggestion of where to get sheets of vinyl in various colors, or with a different color on each side?
I realize its very different from this project but never hurts to ask
I'm interested in making some custom figure capes that are white on the outer side and red on the inner side
    Appreciate any suggestions, thanks regardless!

I get all my vinyl from cheap inflatable pool toys. I have found different colours on some of the ones I bought. I made a Tusken Raider cloak with dark brown on the inside and tan on the outside. Dollar store, Walmart.

Cool video man. I was thinking that perhaps with a careful steady hand, a heat gun might be able to blend the mended seems together. But the MAJOR drawback is permanently wrecking the cape altogether. Curious what your thoughts are.

May work, just experimenting with old pool toy vinyl would be a way to try it without ruining the cape.

Really good attempt to preserve a vintage Vader cape ,now me I would’ve just used the original one as a template, I bought a few Vader figs and I ended up using black felt for capes as well for my Jawas an Sand people figs felt is very cheap and comes in a huge variety of colors

Nice, I’ve used felt for TMNT, definitely does the trick. Cheers!

I actually have a couple of older Darth Vader's that were my dad's and they are both missing their capes. I ended up getting a retro Grand Inquisitor and took his Vinyl cape off and gave it to one of my dad's Darth Vaders. I hated him looking so barren and I like how it looks now with the Inquisitor's cale. And I think the Retro Grand Inquisitor looks way better without his vinyl cape. He looks more like he does in Star Wars Rebels. So there's one of the advantages of the Retro line. Although it's not my favorite line in all honesty. But it has its uses.

Great idea, yeah that wave is not my favourite but I do like the Mandolorian figs.
