I may be really late with this, but maybe a fun fact/story why the safety card said "Regional Jet". It's the name for the company (very creative, as they started with CRJ's) that was created as a replacement for Estonian Air, and holds the AOC. Xfly is the brand/subsidiary for it which offers wet leases for other airlines SAS in this case :) And Xfly in turn is a rebrand after Nordica was deemed unnecessary and the business model switched from flying out of Estonia to flying for other airlines in order to be profitable (goal of profitability was instructed by the owner, aka our government, which is also why we have many planes, but no national airline flying out of Tallinn 😅)
I did this route few weeks ago in the opposite direction as part of my segment run (going for *G under the current promotion :)). Great trip, I really love how efficient small regional airports in Sweden are. The only downside is the lack of public transportation to Ängelholm airport, with taxi being pretty much the only option.
I like travelling on regional turbo prop aircraft, its gives you time to enjoy the view at a more leisurely pace, stunning beaches on decent. Would be amazing if you came to Scotland to fly the Loganair Twin Otter Glasgow to Barra where you land on the beach :D Great video as always Felix.
My experience with them has been good but not mind blowing. I like the fact that they fly out of bromma instead of Arlanda and they usually have pretty ground service as well. I do need to point out that the prices are bit too high and I prefer the SAS cabin every day of the week. Such a shame that they don’t have onboard service now either (or so it was in my case but I presume the service could vary between routes). I’ll be looking to fly SAS to compare and they also have better fares for youths
A regional flight departing from gate F26 is quite unusual. The F-gates, which is in terminal 5, are usually for international flights and domestic flights from terminal 4. I guess they are using those gates since terminal 4 is closed for the moment.
@@Cta2006 looking at it again we're both wrong. It's a SAAB 2000. Fuselage is too long to be a 340 as the 2000 was a 45-50 pax aircraft. Also the 6 bladed props.
I really don’t understand why SAS has contracted so many airlines to operates regional flights on their behalf… XFly, Nordica, Cityjet, and in the mean time created their own regional airlines SAS Link (Ejet) and SAS Connect Airbus, plus SAS UK flying Airbus too… it’s kinda messy…
May I know what language they use for inflight announcement since SAS is the flag carrier of 3 countries with 3 different official languages.. 🇩🇰 - Danish, 🇳🇴 - Norwegian/Sami, 🇸🇪 - Swedish
Sweden is really bigger than most people seem to think. Flight time of more than 1 hour😱. I live in the Netherlands, by car it's not even a 2 hour drive from west to east.
That is not Scandinavian airlines. It is Xfly. An estonian company, flying for SAS. Painted in SAS colors... they dont speak any of scandinavian languages.
I am sending a plea to all aviation channels to try to capture a more realistic sound recording. So often they seem to use the internal microphones on their camera or phone. As this is sometimes mounted on the window or some other part of the plane all that is recorded is the vibration of the structure. An external microphone (suitably shielded from the wind) is an essential piece of kit. One reviewer recently commented how quiet the plane was when all we could hear was a loud rattle where the camera was in contact with a hard surface. I accept that my criticism is perhaps more relevant for channels concentrating more the aircraft than the airline but is there anything wrong in wanting the best of both worlds?
There may be business travelers that cannot afford the luxury of a lengthy train trip. I am assuming that since it is an hour or more by plane, that it would be 5-6 hours by train. I think you will find that in most countries with good rail service there will always be a flight/rail choice for people.
Umm no? It is NOT sad that we have this absolutely amazing flight service! In fact: Reaching Angelholm in an hour with a comfy ATR is much better than an unconfortable, long train ride...
Simply Aviation, thank you very much for making my weekend better with your marvelous tripreports 😀👍✈️
Thank you for making my weekend by making this comment🙂

Compared to -500, is it quiter and less bumpy ride?
Great video!! Thank you for NOT using music!! So many nice aviation videos spoilt with music overlaid. We wanna hear the engine sounds and stuff!
You should review the other Swedish regional airline named ”BRA Flyg” or ”Braathens Regional Airlines” too. It’s such a good regional airline!
Är du svensk

yay a new video
First time I've seen an ATR referred to as a regional jet😂
Where was that ATP going? I'm not aware of any still being used for passenger operations.
Are you sure is an ATP and not a Saab 340 ?
Regional Jet (now Xfly) is the name of the airline operating the aircraft

ATR 72 With Zorro Mask ?
Wait did the safety card say Regional jet?! I wonder when ATR turboprop is transformed to a jet ...
Regional Jet/Xfly is the airline operating the aircraft.
Regional Jet has the AOC, and operates the planes under Xlfy brand, also used to do so under Nordica :)
Have you ever had trip report Lufthansa airline???? If yes, please, post. Thanks
Next video please show clear photo of menu
Hi, I have a question for you. How do you create the map ? Is there a program or website ? Thank you
Look at top right
When you do your report on flights like this … showcase the food (even if you don’t feel hungry), just to see what it’s like
Awesome.

@@danielantonio1635 and your flight was from where to where?

2100km is it between the southest and northest point in sweden.
ATR 72neo, if you catch my drift😂
It feels kind of wierd to hear someone say "scania" because here in sweden, 99% of people call it "Skåne"
When I read Scania I thought in heavy trucks I didn’t know it was a region of Sweden 🤷🏻♂️
