This honestly makes so much more sense with Cassie’s “panicked breathing” and you can hear The Mimic getting closer. It’s so horrible to think and feel HOW scared she was to imagine a “safe” place in her mind😅
This is definitely the most chilling part of the dlc. At one second, Cassie is running for her life, in the most tense part of the game, then when she goes off path, leaves the linear gameplay that she found comfort in throughout the dlc, there is a jaring transition to a cartoon image with literally no context. The chase doesn't conclude. With the betrayal ending, we see the elevator close. We're okay. We found a spot to hide. The chase concludes. However, with the Brazil ending, the chase doesn't end. Cassie just stops. Then Cassie is reminded of the chilling truth that Gregory was never in the pizzaplex. He's okay. There are balloons and happy music. However, we here Cassie panickly breathing. She's not okay. She's still in the real world standing in front of the Freddy cutout with the Mimic behind her. With knowing that she's about to die, the joyous music feels very off and disconnected. During the credits, I felt like I was waiting for the Mimic to jumpscare me, but it never did. The tension is never resolved. Sorry if it felt like I went all over the place with this
In the corridor of the elevator ending, if u run to the left, behind some boxes there's a nightmarionne "plush" watching. That thing Is really "Death" my friend
That sounds pretty similar to the ending of Somniphobia, where Sam pours himself into the reality of the dream sphere and eventually his soul gets trapped in the dream sphere and eventually moves on. Since we see earlier in the DLC that Cassie’s memories and emotions start to manifest through the VANNI mask, it’s possible that in this ending she gives herself in and she traps her soul in the VANNI mask, creating this illusionary ending and effectively killing her before The Mimic reaches her.
@khiyan_autistic I guess that might be true but I really hope that at least in the elevator ending she survives because there is nothing after that and also Gregory couldn’t have been the one to cut is because Gregory wasn’t even at the pizzaplex
At the beginning of the game it says that when you put on the mask you are still in your reality, but fazbear entertainment has made it "better" I think helpi put cassie in a fantasy where it's exactly the same but cassie and gregory were free. The only part is that you can hear the mimic's footsteps get closer, implying that the mimic has found cassie and there are 2 possibilities. 1. Cassie just simply dies due to the mimic. 2. The mimic destroys cassie's body where she should've died, but her consciousness is still trapped in the mask.
Considering how the whole franchise has the "a child's soul trapped in an object" thing going on and one of the games has the antagonist trapped inside a virtual reality where he's tormented seemingly forever, then the second option isn't so illogical. So her soul ("consciousness") is trapped in the mask as the mimic kills her. Or the mimic doesn't recognize her while she's still in the virtual reality so she's just going to die a slow death from stress, exhaustion or hunger while for hours looking at a moving sprite of Gregory holding an ice cream. Truly a way to die.
you think... that's the same thing that happened to make the pat-pats? the reason there are childrens voices coming from them, the reason you can deactivate them but it seems more like killing them or evicting the life from them..... maybe they're all kids... trapped inside the vanni network
honestly this is the scariest and best horror i’d argue in the whole franchise, with cassie so powerless all she can do is go into a fake safe place. More of this please
Yes, through the whole franchise you spend the time surviving and planning what your moves are gonna be and in SB Gregory just demolishes the animatronics so seeing cassidy just loose for taking one wrong turn in despair and wait for death it's like the feeling of loosing you power in Fnaf 1
i definitely saw it as the illusions trying to make her accept her fate and or that everything is fine and that she's save, while the mimic was still clearly beuind her. she even continues to breath in a very uneasy way still, as she probably knows whats gonna happen.
I also think that this is a submission of Cassie where she's finally taken over by A.I. reality. She feels something wrong so she's panicking but can't escape the fate she has been dealt with.
this ending by far has to be my favorite, yes it’s terrifying to think about it, but something about it is just really interesting, she made a mistake that led to her death, and is attempting to calm herself by escaping into her own little world as her demise slowly approaches from behind, and the “i found a spot to hide” line really brings up another interesting part of this ending, “gregory” says it earlier in the game, reassuring cassie that he’s okay, and is safe for the time being, that line being repeated when she puts on the mask is like her way of believing that she is safe, and hidden, while in reality her death is just a few feet behind her
If you look in the background you’ll notice that the balloons are casting a shadow on the sky even though there’s nothing behind them. This shows that the fantasy world isn’t truly free or open, but more of an enclosed set her mind has built to comfort her.

She does die in that ending however her conscious lives on inside the fake reality, we don’t know how she died or what the mimic did to her but she is 100% dead in that ending

Cassie's panicked breathing after putting on the mask to escape reality reminds me of FNAF VR : Curse of Dredbear, where at the end of the maze, you put on the mask, and as you do, you can hear your breathing slow down before eventually stopping. Could there be a parallel here or am I just reading too much into this ?
But wasn't the mask *hacked* by the Mimic so it could lead to them? The way I see it, in the rush, Cassie tried to find any place where she could hide. Until she saw a *glitchy* bear (usually means it interacts with you putting the mask on) and thought that she'll be able to hide behind it if using the mask. She forgot that the Mimic literally hacked it and it ended up trapping her mind in a virtual reality while he (possibly?) takes control of her body. How, do you ask? Well remember that Cassie felt a short pain at having something dig in her brain the first time she put the mask? It was supposedly to connect certains parts of the brain to connect it to the mask so it could operate properly. So by hacking the mask, the Mimic also got access to her brain. But then, why hasn't he controlled her sooner? Well... I think it's because of the glitch rabbit that repeatedly tried to stop them until the end of the game, when Cassie deactivated him. And afterwards, he couldn't immediately take control of her until she put the mask. In a way it can be related to "Brazil" in the fact that Cassie still *is* in a virtual word where she can live and "hide" herself. Leaving everything that happens outside completely ignored from then on. And her panicked breathing could be because she literally RAN from a MONSTER that could still *possibly* get her. But it didn't last so long to let us see what actually happens after, so she could've figured in the end that the Mimic wouldn't kill her in this world. If you read until the end, then congrats! You're a REAL reader! (Luckily, I haven't reached 1000 words, like some do) Have a great night/day!
My theory is that in the normal ending Roxy says Cassie’s name meaning she has found her or looking for her so Roxy probably saved Cassie from the elevator fall and brought her to safety
Fish remind me of tales of the pizzaplex #2 help wanted. The dude gets trapped in a fantasy world with his dream wife and kids, and then chooses to stay in that world after realizing it’s not real.
As far as the purpose of the ending is I think not adding an ending for the sake of adding an ending, but instead further delving into the new theme the series is moving towards: Modern technology and especially AI. We‘ve seen the books play around with the idea of being trapped in a VR booth and using VR technology to it‘s limits for the customers at the pizzaplex already, which is why I think that not just AI going rouge, but instead creating a perfect VR world and using it in the every day life as a fazbear employee could be a thing. Where exactly the whole modern sci-fi theme is heading exactly isn‘t clear for now, but atleast I think that we know that it‘s going to be about the contrast and distancing of the VR/AR world from the real world.
Joining the things people said, my opinion is the mimic comes closer to her, but the mask "hides" Cassie, she's stressed, panicked breathing, maybe he can hear her, but not see, he'll stay in the "hide spot" until she reveals herself. the 2 possibilites for her is remove the mask and die, or keep it and pass long nights in the spot, and starving or something like that.
The vanni mask changes how things really look to make cassie more comfortable and I think that's what it was doing here, while before cassie was just scared and it was making things more normal, cassie is in a life threatening situation and the vanni mask put her in a really comfortable place before she died
I guess that explains why Helpy replaces Freddy's head from the "Free Vanny" ending this is replicating. But, what about Vanessa? Cassie wouldn't know what she looks like, would she? And why does Vanessa look sinister here or is that just me? Every time there's a chance to show her eyes from under the mask, they keep getting obscured.
My theory is that after wearing the VANNI mask for so long, especially with times where she outright says in a panicked voice she 'can't get it off' in the ending with all this going on, so panicked and scared being chased by the mimic, she puts it on one last time abd gies crazy...hence the panicky breath extremely tense and odd atmosphere and glitchy ending just like hiw the screen can glitch at times wearing the VANNI mask. Perhaps even Vannesa/Vanny went crazy after wearing the mask?
I think cassie puts on the mask and is taken over by glitchtrap once again. you can see gregory/the mimic and helpi beckoning you to join the afton/posessed gang and also vanessa is there proving she is still possessed
Cassie: * stops in front of a Freddy cut-out puts on the Vanni mask, and is having a good time* Mimic: uhhhh…. Should I kill you or…? I will just be waiting here till you take it off.
The mask shows what Helpi says is a "better" world, or reality. Cassie was horrified, and she put on the mask after taking the wrong turn, it showed her what she wanted, for the whole thing to be over, for her to be safe with Gregory and for Gregory to be alright. I think it's an attempt to calm her before she dies or she's made some escape into this fantasy world and doesn't know if the Mimic got her or not and doesn't want to know, if the mask shows her the best ending, it might not lift to show her reality even if she did die. Poor baby, she's so scared, Cassie is such a heartbreaking character, I wanted so badly for her to be okay :(
@@MoonSky1stRock I mean it could, but I don't see why it would, it's trained to pull off arms, and heads, not masks, right? So I don't know if it would do that or consider it. Plus, if it rips the mask off, her consciousness could still be stuck in the mask and her body dies without her knowing or ever finding out. And on this ending, you never get jump scared, even though it would be so easy for the mimic to find and jump at you before or after credits cut. They could've done that but they didn't, which makes me think that she might never have registered her death because we are seeing things from her pov. I don't think they would avoid a jump scare ending to stop it from being too sad, they kill her in one ending, and this is a game about dead children in animatronics. It was deliberate that they didn't add the scare.
I like how much darker this is then fnaf security breach with that being a flat out kids game and this just having so much dark themes that just are horrifying is what we need in fnaf
My thought is this - Vanessa knows Cassie is there in the simulation. If you look at her, the eyes are dark and shadowed so you can't see the expression properly, and usually that's visual anime shorthand for either one of two things: "you screwed up, you're in for a bad time" or "I will end you, your time is up". Context clues lead to the former. It also would make sense because of the nature of the V.A.N.N.I. mask and how that security system works. It was already stated in earlier chapter of Ruin that the mask plants a chip into the one who wears it, and that chip is constantly connected to the network. Vanessa may be free from the influence of Glitchtrap, but she can never be free from the system itself. She likely has some surface-level awareness of Cassie and what's going on, and her presence in the Brazil ending may have been her trying to comfort Cassie at sensing her panic and as a general sign of solidarity between two people in a trashy situation beyond their control. Gives vibes of "I know personally how much this sucks, and you are way too young to have to suffer through it. But I know you're going to, and there's nothing I can do about it."
i inferred that the mask tried its best to preserve her consciousness like glitchtrap, and to make her death less painful, perhaps so vanny could go on living
I was so confused about this ending, but I had a sort of feeling it was somewhat like this. Really cool how they can hide something like that and it actually makes sense. Never heard of the Brazil movie till now so very interesting. (Almost said never heard of Brazil and realized as I was typing xD)
I have a small theory. If we look at other parts of the game, we can confirm that the mimic has altered the mask and has been corrupting the Helpi in the mask. Maybe after Cassie has frees mimic and put on the mask, the mimic traps her in this fantasy world so he has an easier time getting her. Just a hunch but I think it makes sense.
I'm just going to ignore that its a movie reference and just pretend that somehow putting on the mask teleported her, Gregory, Vanessa and Helpy to the actual country which is Brazil because it makes that ending like 100x sillier and therefore better.
I read a theory which stated that since the VANNI mask shows Cassie what she wants to see, it's plausible she knew she was about to die and put it on in order to at least see something happy in her last moments
There’s four ending, the elevator ending, the Scooper Ending, the False/Brazil Ending, and the canon ending which is from playing Princess Quest. In the Canon Ending, it was the same hill, from the False/Brasil Ending, in the Vanny Mask we see Vanessa, Gregory, and Helpi with Ice Cream Cones but the characters are 2D, there’s even shadows behind the balloons, to prove it that it’s fake. (According to the Wiki/Fandom) It said, Additionally a line from Gregory will play “It’s ok, I found a space to hide.” which is the same one earlier with Roxy. We also hear her breathing, meaning that she died in that ending. ((Also I believe Gregory didn’t betray Cassie, before he betrayed her he was talking about the M.X.E.S which prevented the Minic from escaping and Cassie turned it off, I noticed there was some statics before he talked about her help him for him, so it could have been the Minic pretending it to be him again.)) ((((The Wiki/Fandom Explains This Way Better Then Me Though!!!!))))
This is Cassie calling herself down with the thought of her friend Gregory being somewhere away in a safe location as she is about to be killed by the Mimic. The panicked breaths speak enough for the scene I think.
When the guy said that he was seeing what was being put on the screen sounds like all the endings in FNAF security breach like an ai was thinking of all the ways to get out
I do agree with most of this, but I also think That Cassie is the new vanni. We see panicked breathing in the captions and our breath calms down. This is used to signify that someone has been (as I like to call it) Vanny-ed. In fnaf VR, Vanessa is believed to be tape girl, and even if she’s not, we can’t deny that she’s being controlled by glitchtrap or some other entity. I think that the same thing is happening to Cassie.
My brain saw that title for the ending and thought of the meme, “You’re going to Brazil,” in which a character is dragged horrifically down a hallway or off camera. I think it still kinda applies, but the Brazil movie makes WAAAAAY more sense lol

i like vanessa appearing in this ending, implying that (in this ending at least) the princess quest ending was the canon one
People were like "ugh, SB wasn't that violent, it was for children" and Steel Wool said: "oh yeah?"
Actual reason: cassie was hallucinating, so mimic dragged her to brazil
Amazing comment lol
bro actually sent us to brazil 💀💀💀
Fact
The scooper ending really justifies all the feelings that I felt in this game
Truly cannon event
Torture chair?
TORTURE CHAIR?
FNAF?
TORTURE FREDDY ENDING?
Joining the things people said,
my opinion is the mimic comes closer to her, but the mask "hides" Cassie, she's stressed, panicked breathing, maybe he can hear her, but not see, he'll stay in the "hide spot" until she reveals herself.
the 2 possibilites for her is remove the mask and die, or keep it and pass long nights in the spot, and starving or something like that.
"The pattpatts are powered by childrens spirits." Mattpatt - 2023
The real Brazil ending. Is just the mimic catching her and screaming “YOU’RE GOING TO BRAZIL”
The vanni mask changes how things really look to make cassie more comfortable and I think that's what it was doing here, while before cassie was just scared and it was making things more normal, cassie is in a life threatening situation and the vanni mask put her in a really comfortable place before she died
"Cassie........
YOUR GOING TO BRAZIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
If it's her personal reality, why isn't Roxy there on the hill with them?
@@crystal_calibri_creatins9787 That's.....a good question. 🤔
@@crystal_calibri_creatins9787Very good point.
This could be a new theory!
Bro just made nightmarionne one of my favourite animatronics in their entire series
The cutout was actually a Fredbear image!
Qm ai tbm ficou surpreso com o nome do final KKKKK
(Crl esqueci como se escreve surpreso-)
Devia ter o phone guy cantando welcome to the mato com o core dançando no final do Brasil
I miss phone guy.
They all feel strange. I can't help but shake the feeling that the game just ended when things were getting good.
That really sad knowing that she is gonna die with no escape she think of happy thoughts before her death 😢
Cassie: * stops in front of a Freddy cut-out puts on the Vanni mask, and is having a good time*
Mimic: uhhhh…. Should I kill you or…? I will just be waiting here till you take it off.
I think the reason why there's an ending like that in FNAF SB ruin is that Cassie don't trust anyone bc he already got fool by the mimic
Poor baby, she's so scared, Cassie is such a heartbreaking character, I wanted so badly for her to be okay :(
What if the mimic took her mask off after?
I don’t know what’s worse being in that situation or actually being in Brazil
Being on that situation because Brazil is incredible
Brazil not is ultra danger, and have beautiful landscapes
That is actually so sad and creepy at the same time
I love how In the ruin dlc they talk about eclipse the most and they just use him for a boss fight and that’s it
I like how much darker this is then fnaf security breach with that being a flat out kids game and this just having so much dark themes that just are horrifying is what we need in fnaf
People who don’t know:weird freddy cut out
People who know: FREDBEAR?!
Considering what fredbear says when Cassie questions about the VANNY mask by replying with “If’s all in your head” this explanation makes a lot sense
I laughed too much at the “brazil ending”
Bro, you telling me the vanny mask makes you go to brazil?
Others: Dang that’s deep
Me: *DAYCARE MUSIC INTENSIFIES*
Very good meme indeed
Interesting, it seems pretty likely that she is in a simulation to escape reality. But, why is Vanessa in her fantasy?
*meanwhile me glitching the daycare trying to stay in there long as possible 😂 (ruin)
I knew that felt like a death screen
To be accurate going to Brazil screen.
Lmao it is so funny to think that a developer thought "ahh what should we call this file? Oh! *B R A Z I L* "
i inferred that the mask tried its best to preserve her consciousness like glitchtrap, and to make her death less painful, perhaps so vanny could go on living
Growing up we all know that good things always come to an end.
Take good care mat
They sent her to Brazil!
This actually makes a lot of sense, i was so confused at first and thought it was the you are going to brazil meme
That’s very interesting!
I read a theory which stated that since the VANNI mask shows Cassie what she wants to see, it's plausible she knew she was about to die and put it on in order to at least see something happy in her last moments
This was honestly one of the creepiest parts of Ruin for me. Everything I see it it's just so eerie
“youre going to brazil”
Cassie: Puts on mask and ignores a robot who is trained to literally harvest you for organs and rip off your limbs
This ending is the ending where Cassie die as Gregory says he found a safe place to hide while she haven’t
Thank you so much for explaining this ending, I've been trying to find the meaning behind this ending since the release of Ruin
Gives “YOU’RE GOING TO BRAZIL!!” a whole new meaning
I think when getting tortured your mind goes into a last defense and takes you to a place of comfort as an escape.
((Also I believe Gregory didn’t betray Cassie, before he betrayed her he was talking about the M.X.E.S which prevented the Minic from escaping and Cassie turned it off, I noticed there was some statics before he talked about her help him for him, so it could have been the Minic pretending it to be him again.))
((((The Wiki/Fandom Explains This Way Better Then Me Though!!!!))))
It's actually referencing the "You are going to Brazil" meme, Steelwool Studios sent Cassie to Brazil
