How about they introduce Wolverine and Deadpool into the MCU together because that would be more epic. Oh, they are doing that. Finally doing something right.
Thanks Rob, Wolverine has always been my favorite character in comics, especially when his character is well written. I remember the first time I saw his character was the Marvel’s guide to the X-Men book I bought at a book fair in back in 1990. I was intrigued by the character design and mysterious origin of the character in the book. Then years later watching the X-Men cartoon on Fox. How no one knew much about his history not even him. Then he finds out many of the memories he has were false so he couldn’t even trust the memories he did have. Also how the cartoon would give hints or flesh out parts of his past. That cartoon is what really got me into comics. With the Wolverine origins run, I kinda felt like, Marvel was like, Fox is gonna make a Wolverine solo movie because of his popularity and they didn’t want a movie establishing his origin before the comics did. What do you think about Clint Eastwood’s son playing the role? I don’t know if he’s got the acting chops but he kinda looks the part, minus being 5’3”
I'd have to say, when it comes to a new wolverine in the cinematic universe. I'd have to go with a unknown actor. They tend to bring out characters the best.
I personally don't want them to bring in jean Grey cyclops or wolverine until much much later because the heavy focus on those 3 killed the x-men movies
I think if theyre going to use a known actor, Tarin Edgerton would be perfect. Hes the dude from the Kingsmen movies. Great actor, good in action scenes and has a great sense of humor. Plus hes young enough to carry the character for awhile.
@Aegon Targaryen I love GoT and Kit but I don't think he can put on the muscle needed for the role and I just can't picture him getting angry and going into a berzerker rage Haha.
Wolverine has been one of those characters that has always been in the pop culture during my life but I never knew that much about him outside of: Canadian, short, berserker at times, and worked on the X-Men.
Scott Eastwood to play Wolverine. For a couple of reasons. Firstly, Tom Hardy is in his 40s, which means that it won't be that long before he struggles with age the way that Hugh Jackman is now, while Scott Eastwood is about the same age as Hugh Jackman was when he started playing the character. Second, a lot of Wolverine's character quirks were taken from characters played by Scott Eastwood's father. Finally (and most importantly), he is a good actor who has shown that he can play a complex hard case before.
I agree with most of what you said. Hardy is definitely too old. But I dont know about Scott. I would really rather see them find a virtual unknown like they did with Jackman. I mean he had been in theater but he was not known by most anyone in the public or in Hollywood.
Ben Vaun Jackman had a bigger body of film work than Eastwood does, but it was primarily Australian - which means a heavy emphasis on character interaction and dialogue, and it also means that he was a fresh face in America (basically the same reasons they keep casting Australian actors in Hollywood roles). They're not going to risk that character on an unknown, he's too important.
I don't know about Scott, he doesn't look as intimidating as Hugh or maybe it's because I'm just so used seeing Hugh as Wolvie. I think there are British actors who can be a good Wolverine.
There are other actors besides Tom Hardy and Scott Eastwood. The latter has yet to prove himself as a leading man. I think people are fan casting based on a particular look. His expressions were taken from his father?! I've never even heard that reason before but still, that's his father. There is more to casting for a role than facial expressions of one's father.
Kip Crawley you obviously didn't read what I typed. You are 100% right that Scott Eastwood has yet to prove himself though. However, he has more credits to him than a bunch of other actors his age, and unless you're expecting Canada to produce another leading man named Ryan, or holding out hope for the other Hemsworth to step into the role (yes, there are three of them), it's probably gonna be a guy somewhere around 30 who's still unknown enough to sign that eight picture deal but who has a famous enough name that the studio execs won't freak out about putting him in a significant role.
Hard to say who should play Wolverine. When Hugh played him, he was a relatively unknown actor to the action masses. They seem to just not give roles like that to big stars because it’s hard to see them as that role. RDJr had been off the map for a while before Iron Man so he was able to own the role as he returned. With that said. It needs to be somebody gritty, tough, sturdy and intimidating.
True. A lot of the big Marvel characters are played by people who aren't very known to the current mainstream fans. I would like for them to get a unknown actor to play him as that usually works the best compared to getting popular actors to play the role.
@I I'm talking about Marvel not DC and still when people think of RDJ they think of Iron man just like when people think of Tobey they think of Spiderman
How to explain Wolverine: what if a character was so popular that even with the best death and legacy ever, he needs to be brought back because he is to popular for his own good
It's his suffering that intrigues us. A person that has gone through what he went through and can't heal his my only his body. It's crazy when u think about it.
I think we need to go the Spider-Man approach for who plays superheroes for now on. What I mean by that is there is always the concern on how will that actor can do justice to the character. So why not flush out clearly and precisely what the character is and how the character should be acted as and pick an unknown actor to play him/her. This seems to have worked out pretty well for Spider-Man right now.

i agree with ya Rob, Tom Hardy could be a good choice for a new Wolverine. But he's already played Venom and people most likely will know him from his role as Eddie. And that could cause a bit of confusion if he was then chosen to play as another Marvel character.
I think Tom hardy ,Richard Armitage (he looks similar to Hugh) , Joe Manganiello (He’s played a feral person before he’s around the height of Hugh and he has the grizzled look when he wants to) or Joe Bernthal(He’s used to working with marvel we’ve already seen he’s a stone cold killing machine and he has that i’ve seen some ish look)

For me that’s how Beast has always been so I just can never get used to the original version.
Always good to see a video about my favorite character
COVER VENOM !
Wolverine the best there is at what he does and great video Rob
It's gonna be weird seeing anyone other than hugh jackman play wolverine
I know right
I fully agree with tom hardy! I’ve thought it should be him ever since like The Wolverine came out and it was big news that Hugh Jackman only had one movie left
In the 60s, comic books were almost strictly American? Hergé, Willy Vandersteen, Morris, Albert Uderzo, and René Goscinny would all like a word with you.
Marvel and DC
4:50 who is the artist? And what issue ?
Joe Rogan should be the MCU wolverine
Wow wow wow, who is the artist at 11:27?
And thanks again for a great video!!
*ROB CORPS! ASSEMBLE!*
Can Rob please do a video on the exiles and the squadron supreme since they are kind of important in the Marvel universe and people should know about them since they are not going to appear in the MCU movies or TV series.
Bro I just watched good will hunting for the first time
Nice
Annnnd.... what's your point??
How do you like them apples?
Good video 👊😎🤘 have you done Chaos King ?!
They should cast Tom Hardy as all the X-men.
yes and then when they fight apocalypse, they can maybe get TOM HARDY TO PLAY HIM
Can you imagine How Jean x Wolverine would look if they were both Tom Hardy ?
Mantis Toboggan i have another great idea...they could make josh brolin be apocalypse!! yay!!
As a huge Wolverine fan, the only thing youve missed is the most recent development of Phoenix Force Wolverine, set in the distant future. Its shown off specifically in the recent Thor run!
Steven Ogg, I could see him playing Wolverine
Trevor with an unbreakable skeleton and a healing factor 😂😂
i agree with ya Rob, Tom Hardy could be a good choice for a new Wolverine. But he's already played Venom and people most likely will know him from his role as Eddie. And that could cause a bit of confusion if he was then chosen to play as another Marvel character.
I think Zac Efron would be a decent Wolverine
That's honestly my choice after seeing bosslogics part of him as Logan
I think Tom hardy ,Richard Armitage (he looks similar to Hugh) , Joe Manganiello (He’s played a feral person before he’s around the height of Hugh and he has the grizzled look when he wants to) or Joe Bernthal(He’s used to working with marvel we’ve already seen he’s a stone cold killing machine and he has that i’ve seen some ish look)
Zack efron should play wolverine in the mcu
Keep up the great work Rob! Wolvie is prob one of my favorite characters!
I think they should put Laura in as the new wolverine in the MCU. We still get wolverine but Hugh Jackman keeps his legacy
I honestly wouldn't mind that but fans would hate it lol
She is an amazing character and would make for some great stories. Also as a bonus we can get at least a year of hearing morons whine about "their agenda".
@@uglyweirdo1389 lol true. I fell in love with her character when I read Avengers Arena. I honest find her more interesting than Logan and she isn't a douchebag and ho like Logan
@@micah459 She seemed like a part of the big Marvel moneygrab so I didnt give her any time until she showed up in Weapon-X/H and she was so fun and well done I went back and gobbled up her stuff.
I missed a lot of quality content.
Honeybadger is also hilarious.
Hi, do you have any video about Ancient One? I have been searching your channel but couldnrt find it :/ she seems like a cool character with allot to offer, and i only know about her from movies. If nothing else any idea where i can read up on her?
Just warning you, if you do read on the ancient one in comics it will be a man and not a female.
I want a 6”2 Logan that wears the brown and yellow suit when he’s solo and wears the blue and yellow suit when he’s an official X-man, 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ don’t @ me
That would be an interesting idea
Hey Rob can you do another Explained on another slightly unknown or not as big story line/ character? Like i loved the one you did on the marquee of death as he is a difficult character to fully read into on my own, and I also loved the King Thanos as that was just plain old hard to follow
Before Daniel Way there was the Origin miniseries where they did the first Origin of James Howlett, then from House Of M and post stories, they work and reworked from that starting point of his definitive origin
Danny Devito should be the next Wolverine, he meets the credentials. He is short, surly and his role as the Trash Man proves he can be gritty and violent when called upon.
Enjoy your Disneyland vacation Rob. Have fun. When you get back could you consider doing a Too Powerful for the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Shuma-Gorath? Would really love for you to cover him. Love the videos btw
You should do a video on red goblin or the time the time wolverine became the dark Phoenix (Or anything with Constantine or sandman (just vertigo in general))
Hey Rob, since Doom Patrol has released a trailer is there any way we can get some history on the Doom Patrol or maybe some conics? I've seen a lot of them in the only real thing I know about them is Beast Boy made his first appearance in there and they were before the X-Men. Also on top of that did crazy Jane (Doom Patrol) come out before Legion( X-Men) or after
Kit harrington! Hes has the height , hair, and natural wolverine face features. He already is thorough ly trained in hand to hand combat from all the action flicks hes done. He is a good enough actor to bring depth to the character. And he has lowkey showed intrest in the role via facebook post. That beat down he gave ramsey in battle of the bastards look just like a wolverine panel straight out of the comics.
Hello, can you help me from issue no 317 of Wolverine can you tell me what the proper 'Legacy' numbering is up to this issue and what the 'Legacy' number for this issue is, it is confusing as to what counts towards 'Legacy' numbering,
Thanks.
I don't know who should play him. Nobody can top Hugh Jackman, so I'm just waiting for Wolverine vs Deadpool. I started getting comic books from the drug store beside my apt as a child in the 80s, and X-Men was my favourite because of Wolverine. The fact he was Canadian is what drew me to him!
Love your Wolverine vids!!!
I want you to do 3 to 4 part videos to explain Wolverine even further please
I'd say whoever the actor was that played BOIKA in the Undisputed movies should play him. That would be epic with his actual martial arts skills.
Have you made a video yet that explains the first arc of the new WOLVERINE Vol 5 series?
Thank you for explaining the best there is at what he does.
Hail The Unstoppable Rob Corp. Hey Rob, could you please do a character/powers explanation for Havok or ArchAngel? These are two of my favorite X-men! Fascinating power sets and character evolutions!
