- In this video I give you a full cost breakdown of my C6 corvette wide body conversion. As always if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comment section below and I’ll be sure to answer them!
As long as you like how the car is turning out, nothing else matters
And yes, $1200 for paint without having to blend was a “killer” deal.
C-6 Vettes simply look better with chrome wheels 👍🏼
You’re absolutely right! I do like how it is coming together so far, thanks for the comment! I’m glad you think the $1200 was a good deal too:)
The metallic is called "flop"...now when you go to your next paint shop you can drop that term and blow their minds 😂
Smart kid...youre learning very quickly
5:30 all cars look like that. I remember noticing that on my vette too. I was worried until I saw all other cars look the same. Or most anyways.
Yeah I started noticing that on other cars too, thanks for the comment!
Great platform 😊 my favorite modern vette
Great cost savings, well done.
Thank you!
Looks great bro! You def open up a ton of wheel opportunities versus narrow body fenders. Did you have to do much bodywork to get the J&D fenders to fit well? Quality seems all over with aftermarket fenders. Been looking at RPI/Veloz/SuperVettes/Cali Super Coupes/etc....
Honestly the J&D fenders bolted up perfectly! You can check out the video of the install on my channel and see everything there. I’d say the kit was 95% ready to go, just needed to sand down the quarters before paint.
I think they do sell fender liner extenders exactly for this purpose when wide body converting these c6 corvettes. Love them to death, sadly don’t get to drive my old man’s vette as much as I would like to.
That's big money to just shoot the quarters ... next time i want to see you tackling your own paint needs 😂 with that money 💰 you could have purchased a good size air compressor and spray gun...its not difficult and its very rewarding to say you did the cosmetics 100% yourself 😊 clear coat is very forgiving.. it's easy to fix minor screw ups
Haha I agree that would be sweet to be able to do it myself. Maybe I’ll try to do the cosmetics myself in the future:)
So the rear inner piece of the fender vents aren't required to install those vent bezels you bought on amazon? Also, are you able to look inside the scoops alot without the rear inner vent? Lastly, did you install the brake ducts?
No the vent bezels can just be put on without the rear inner piece which is nice! You really can’t look inside them at all, no one will notice:) I did not install the rear break ducts, I just couldn’t find them but I’m still on the lookout if they pop up for sale:)
@@apprenticeautomotive gotcha, you plan ok doing the front fenders and bumper?
Many of the front wide body parts are way harder to find.. most are discontinued.. also the rear vents are missing the brake ducts! Its best just to buy a cheap tataled Waterdamaged vette to just take every single part from it. That is what am planning to do on one of my vettes.
That’s a good idea if you can find a donor car! Yeah I need the ducts and everything from the fender liner assembly. Just trying to source what I can right now:)
Yeah the bumpers almost never match perfectly
I will definitely keep my skinny body. Nice setup though.
Thanks! Skinny body’s look good too for sure
What's the link to the fenders?

Very nice car but tint windows man👍
Thank you! Yeah I need to get on the window tint asap. I’m tired of the fishbowl look lol
Why does it take 15 minutes to say number🫠
Sorry man, just trying to provide as much information as possible!
