Just found you❤ love the technique ! I think it’s time to dig through the closet and take Bond out for a spin around the old the block. This would be lovely for the bottom rib of a vest.

Very interesting video. I wish that you could make a full video of a sweater you knit on this machine.

Thank you. I think this would be a good way to use up some ends of yarn to make a thick warm scarf. Kindest regards

I enjoy watching your knitting videos as much as I enjoy watching your vacuum cleaner videos. I bet the jumpers you knit last a lot longer than shop bought ones.

Thank you very much for this very interesting video. Can I use the technique you demonstarte in it with my LK 150? How do you call the black vinyl instrument you are using for the cast-on?

I've just started knitting and I'm still struggling on my training pieces. You just blew my mind with this machine and technique :O but good video!

Do you like this machine or the elite and can the carriages be interchangeable? It seems like the elite is better than the USM. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

The carriages are not interchangeable. Non of the Elite parts are interchangeable with the standard Bond’s. I like both machines equally.

awesome ! question : i have the lk150, do I need this white yarn at the beginning or it's just to old the weight? I'm not sure I understand how to start with my knitting machine

@@k1k13004 no, just cast on with waste yarn with the method shown in the book is fine.
You can just use your slip leavers on the LK-150 too, no need to knit them in hold and drop the loop off like shown in the video, for that machine. Side leavers on the dot, russell leavers on ii. Bring the main colour needles to hold and knit the row, then work the latched up contrast the same way.

@@Thesweaterfactory so it's easier? I need to try, it''s hard to imagine for now. I'll try now. Thank you !

@@k1k13004 Yep, easier on the LK. You will understand what I mean when you’re in front of the machine.

Thanks for this - I've been wondering how I could do this as a rib, and not by just latching up a separate strand.

I don't knit, but I do crochet, and this reminds me of mosaic crochet in which the main and contrast colors switch every row, so the back is horizontally striped. However, you can create a lot of different patterns on the front, but it is definitely tedious. There are several blanket patterns using mosaic crochet; I swear the people that make those have endless patience.
Edit: now I'm wondering if I could recreate this ribbing with crochet. It'd be an interesting experiment.
