It was so awesome. Then she bolted out of there and led the brigade on horseback. Oh she is my absolute new hero. I bought a red feather necklace in her honor.

I feel especially awful for Anne. Even though she was the second child of the queen, she lost a lot of rank when Charles had kids. William and Harry took her place, and ordinarily it would be fine. I’m sure she knew it would happen since she was a teenager. But given she is the hardest working royal, and that Harry is a lazy, spoiled brat, and professional victim, it’s really sad that Anne lost her place for him, his wife, and kids. At least with the Wales family, Anne can feel her sacrifice of position was worth it.

I'm a polynesian woman and I found much to identify with the family on the balcony. Seeing Charles as the aging King, my heart melted as I thought of my own father and grandfather. Like myself, there were women and mothers and grandparents watching over their young. There were also supportive adult siblings standing in solidarity with their brother and dutiful, protective sons.
How ignorant to suggest people of colour would find this unrelatable. The family was even a blended family with all the accompanying complexities and emotional baggage. Not untypical of the experience of many people of any colour..
What hypocrisy to judge King Charles's family by the colour of their skin! And what ignorance to assume that people of colour are too shallow to look beyond that and see their humanity.

If the King of England should be required to mention the kid's 4th birthday at his coronation, shouldn't the kid's mom be expected to allow the kid out of the house (for a change) to go for a walk with her? If the kid's father is required to leave a historic (and family) event of a lifetime to get back for the kid's 4th birthday, is it too much for his mom to include the kid on her hike? Why is the rest of the world expected to recognize the great importance of the kid's 4th birthday but his mother doesn't need to??

A brother who was almost three years older needed more sausages at that age. I doubt that Harry did not get one extra when he asked for it. Then he probably could not finish it or if he did, he had to throw up like his Mommy.

OMG! Yesterday during our local news broadcast a video of 'the grim reaper' that was seen at the abbey during the coronation was shown and the weather forecaster said "oh, it looks like Meghan was in attendance after all." The look on the female news person was priceless. Well the Bridgerton actress apparently has a very short memory. Her black sista couldn't hack being a royal for 2 years before calling it quits.
As a 75 year old white woman who was a Foster mom in the 70s. I had many children of different colours, and they were all treated, as I would have wanted my own children to be treated with love and respect. In those days, if you saw someone who looked very prettly turned out, or even wearing something that really suited them. You would smile and compliment them. I saw a beautiful young coloured lady in her early 20. She was a picture. I was frightened to even smile at her, let alone say anything, because it might have been seen as a racist remark instead of one of admiration.

I am South African, I'm so tired of feeling guilty being a minority in my country and feeling guilt for history that has nothing to do with me or my upbringing or who I am as a 'color' blind person trying to be kind in a rainbow nation! Bridgerton needs to be boycotted simply for its historical revisionism for portraying Queen Charlotte as black, when her only possible, not proven, hypothetical black ancestor existed over 500 years before she was born, theoretically being less than 1% black.

I'm adding a second comment today. I am a retired teacher (although you never stop teaching). I had the great pleasure of teaching a beautiful array of students. I taught black, white & brown local children. AND I taught children of international officers in Air War College at our USAF base. Asian, Middle Eastern African nations, European,South American, Canadian, Great Britain and other areas which I'm sure I don't remember. The collection of cultures was incredible. I taught choral music classes. Music was the language of the world. We sang in Latin because it was no one's language, but we sang songs from the many cultures represented. Skin colors didn't matter, loving each others differences was joy. I wish the world was as positive as my students were. Be proud of yourself and your family. Celebrate and share your culture and learn and appreciate other cultures. Lesson over😊

If you had gone to Germaine’s Luau, they have tatami mats to sit on the ground in front of low tables in front of the stage. I am confused - how do you want to be served? On banana leaves and use your fingers to eat? Tourists are notorious for complaining because it is not what they dreamed. Go to Ko’Olina and their man made lagoons if you want a pristine beach. Ask the locals politely and you will get a lot of good info. Tourists with attitude get ignored. Open heart and open mind, please. 😊

I taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade for 4 decades. The children got into a conversation about color. I told them we are all beautiful shades and none are black or white. I put White Out and a black marker on each arm, none of the 35 were black or white, we are all beautiful shades!
What a wonderful way to teach them that lesson. Teachers make such an impact when they care. I remember clearly things My 6th grade teacher said to me boosting my confidence. I'm 65 now. I'm sure your kids will remember that lesson from you for the rest of their lives. Well done.

Ethnically, I am a mix of various European stock, as well as indigenous/native American-mother was raised on reservations as her father was a Shawnee native. I was brought up with a lot of pride in and knowledge of my tribe, even to the point of legally joining the federally recognized tribe. It hasn't been until I was well into my adult years that I became curious about the white side as we literally had no living connection to those countries. So now I am having fun learning about those countries and theit cultures and feel proud to say and know that I descend from strong English, Irish, Welsh, and Scottish settlers, as well as French, German and Scandinavian peoples. It makes me proud to know this about my history and I would never shame anyone about theirs or their ethnicity either. It makes me sad there are still people who wish to create racial hierarchies. Boo to all that nonsense!

While we are proud to be American, we are also proud of where our families came from as sometimes family traditions were passed down and sometimes not. To discover your ancestry leads to new discoveries about ourselves and others.

I can't stop laughing, I think that Anne is now my new favorite Royal. I find it so Sassy of her, to intentionally put the plume in her hat, in order to block her nephew's view of the coronation. Love it.
Ann did not intentionnaly put the plume on the uniform head gear. The plume belongs witht hat. However, as any woman would... she knows perfectly how the hat fits on her head, how long and wide it extends AND how HIGH the plume goes! No hat or tiara would have done a better job! I wish I had been there when she had a ball laughing about it with her children (and husband?)!

I had a wonderful conversation recently with a delightful man from Jamaica. We discussed race issues etc. and he said he wasn't even aware he was black until he came to Australia. He was so laid back and so totally at ease with himself and everyone else, it was a delight to speak with him.
It’s ok to be proud of your color. And it’s ok to be unapologetic about it. People that are obsessed with their color and others need to get over it. There are many other important things to put thought and energy into.

The fact that Harry revels in being provocative, coupled with his juvenile attitudes to everything else, shows that he is not only very troubled but also a danger to himself and others.
