My friend volunteers at a local no-kill animal shelter, and she informed me that they will actually allow people to foster senior dogs, and the shelter will pay for any vet bills associated with the care of the dog. This sounds like a perfect opportunity for me to rescue a senior dog from a shelter, provide a good, loving home and avoid any expensive vet bills that could ensue. A perfect win-win for me and my future furry roommate! I wanted to mention this in case anyone else was considering adopting a pet and might have an opportunity to instead foster a pet, especially a senior pet with health issues or challenges and not be faced with unexpected/expensive vet bills.

My friend volunteers at a local no-kill animal shelter, and she informed me that they will actually allow people to foster senior dogs, and the shelter will pay for any vet bills associated with the care of the dog. This sounds like a perfect opportunity for me to rescue a senior dog from a shelter, provide a good, loving home and avoid any expensive vet bills that could ensue. A perfect win-win for me and my future furry roommate! I wanted to mention this in case anyone else was considering adopting a pet and might have an opportunity to instead foster a pet, especially a senior pet with health issues or challenges and not be faced with unexpected/expensive vet bills.

I came across 3 beautiful, oriental styled water colored paintings of birds on branches. I looked them up and this artist has sold many of his paintings for high prices. My 3 are worth 395-425 dollars. I was going to sell them but I grew to love them. They are now in my library. Oh, yes, I bought them for 16.00 dollars, lol
