Honestly, nothing scares me anymore. Not heights, not jumpscares, not even nearly having to have my arm amputated after being bitten by a poisonous snake. See, I was a very, VERY stupid child. One night, during a thunderstorm of course, I thought something along the lines of this: "Oh hey, why not watch There Will Be Brawl alone in the dark surrounded by Kirby stuff? I've seen Jurassic Park, nothing will scare me! Sure, my much older sister said I shouldn't watch it because it had inappropriate stuff and was super scary, but I don't care, I'm brave!" ~Young (stupid)me HUGE MISTAKE.
Giygas is just the most nightmare-inducing thing ever, that's all I have to say... I mean all the other enemies in EB are set sprites with a psychedelic background behind them... No *Giygas is the freaking background*
I can agree with the Flood being here, and several of the Nintendo enemies. The Nintendo enemies were scary as hell when I was still in elementary and middle school. The floormasters still scare me. I must say, though, the character that scared me more than the Flood in that level was the marine that survived the Flood attack. I walked into the room, heard him, thought to myself "I bet he's talking to someone on the other side of that wall", walked to the wall and was shot in the face by him
Well, aren't you all kinds of precious... Tacking on an irrelevant age-related insult sided with a petty sense of irritation over said "completely retarded" aspect...? It just so happens that you're throwing a minuscule tantrum over something implemented for nothing more than good fun. Sounds to me like you're the immature one here.
A most fantastic list as usual, Animalguy001. I like the fact that you don't put super generic things that we have seen a thousand times on your lists. It's interesting to see something different.
Regenerators and Floormasters both still terrify me...and yes, the Luigi's Mansion ghosts and the Possessed Piano also have given me quite a few shocks to the system.
In my opinion witches from left 4 dead are pretty creepy/scary. You can hear them from miles away and you are told to turn your light off. The crying is echoing all over the place and if one of your teammates f*** up you can hear the scream from wherever you are. If you startle it you are treated to a witch charging at you and getting up in your face like a FNAF character. (That is just what happened to me in my own experience.)
TrueSkyblueClouds Not to seem like an egotistical brat but when I first went up to the piano going to play it, When it went to killer mode I didn''t give two shits
10:44. The only problem with the video I had was that it's Wallmasters and not Floormasters that come down from the ceilings in the Legend of Zelda series.
The way you described Luigi's mansion is EXACTLY what happened when i was 7 and i had nightmares from the screamer part and didn't touch the game for 3 WEEKS!
I know that the footage of the smoky prog is from chuggaconroys lets play. the day is the same, the amount of blues and reds are the same and the hes fighting is the same. anyone else notice that
Wallmasters are the ones that drop from the ceiling in OoT. Floormasters are the invisible ones that can float towards you. Wallmasters are 100% the worst.
Hey Animalguy (or Fawlful's Minion..) Do you remember the part when the pictures started talking? That scared the FUDGE out of me when i was little!!! Did that part scare you, too? I'm just wondering!
I dunno why,but the living piano never scared me. Maybe its because i was looking how close it was to the coin,it made me instantly think "Its a trap,i just know it is."
The piano definitely took me by surprise, but the eel scared me just a tiny bit more. The Witch from Left 4 Dead, Cackle from DKC2, the dianogas from Shadows of the Empire, and the skullfish from Twilight Princess gave me a fright too.
Damn X parasites...the SA-X is the worst of them all. When you first meet it, it has SOULLESS EYES. When the computer CO warns you about it, that same picture of it with the SOULLESS EYES flashes on-screen screamer style. Plus, it's you at FULL POWER...which makes the final fight against it so awesome. A match of equals.
I beg to differ. Even at the end of fusion, samu s struggles to defeat one sa-x, and there are no less than 9 others. If anything, the final encounter is a sign that samus has bested a foe, but hasn't risen above it.
The X-parasite gets way more scary when you think about it.I Samus had not gotten Metroid DNA, she and everyone else would have been dead. It's a monster that you you would not be able to kill, not able to flee from and not able to avoid.
To everyone who disagrees w/no.1: An enemy doesn't have to look horrific to be scary. The X-Parasites can latch on, make you lose consciencenous, multiply and kill you! No matter what. Like he said you don't need rotting flesh to be scary. It depends on what the enemies can do to you.
love the list, but i gotta ask, you never played silent hill ? because that shit is way more scarier then dead space to say the least. But i like the list though
Why do I get the feeling I've seen this video years ago? It's the smoky progg moment and it's that feeling like about 8 or so years ago. Old, almost forgettable, but you swear you've seen it before. Are you having spooks?
ok, i put Ellois, not Allois(not even from the same game), Malo as in...? and bosses are still enemies, because they are a hostile that you either fight or avoid.
oh man i know it wasn't on your list but I thought you were gonna talk about the waterwraith when you brought up pikmin. That thing gives me nightmares
Amnesia The Dark Descent: the monsters you see a lot are: Grunt, Brute, and Ellois. Ellois is the one with the metal ring around its neck, and scratches all around its body. Enemies are commonly described as: anything that tries to attack you, kill you, and/or stop you from making progress into a game
This has probably been mentioned before but I just have to be the top Metroid nerd and point out that Fusion's spider boss is actually NOT named Arachnus. Arachnus is the armadillo-like boss you get the morph ball from. The spider boss( who would probably be in my top five most hated bosses) is actually named Yakuza. Gah, that bastard boss.
about a week ago, I realized that the only "horror" enemies that genuinely scared me were the ones you can't kill. I thought; "well, what if every enemy was like the regenerator or the hunter, and just got harder to keep down every time yuou blew all it's limbs off?"

I'm not here to complain, i actually really liked your list, but i'd love to know if you've actually played Silent Hill?
I would've included Slendy on this list. Not cause his game is scary, but because of what he does. He stalks you for whatever amount of time he feels like it, makes you hallucinate, torments you, then kills you when you least expect it.
I like you cause you don't care what people say about you, and you don't care what you say to people, I may disagree with several of your lists, but I respect you, keep it up man
XD. Speaking of which, can you point me towards a how to make videos for idiots guide? Do I need a high tech camera or can I record with anything? Please tell me, I originally created this account to make comments, but now I feel like making an actual channel. Help would be appreciated. Oh, and as mentioned before, I agree on the floormasters, SO SCARY!!!!!!!! HELP!
One of mine is from Bioshock infinite. ...you can tell where I am going if you played. So your only partner Elisabeth gets kidnapped and you must go in a dark building to save her. When you enter you see lots of black and white (Not skin tone LITERALLY BLACK AND WHITE!) people frozen in time. You start to feel unnerved but glad that you have a clue that she is here. Then you see a strange...thing standing looking at an elevator. Naturally you shoot it...AND THEN IT LETS OUT A VERY LOUD CRY! NOT ONLY THAT BUT ALL THOSE FROZEN PEOPLE? YA THEY ARE SUDDENLY ALIVE AND WANT YOUR BLOOD! For most of the game you are fighting a bunch of racists with Elizabeth giving all the things you need. NOPE. You are limited on resources so you cant afford to encounter one of these things again....don't get me started on the jump scare.
I scoffed at the piano, i thought it wasn't a big suprise, haunted atmosphere, blahlahblah, so i went near the piano, got the coin, and blahblahblah not scared...
The things that I hate are any of the monsters from the sunken ship in Okami. The spider queen ghost heads that fly right up in your face, the hands that pop out of the treasure chests, the giant green hands that try to crush you and the MOTHER FUCKING CREEPY DOLLS!!! The dolls don't do anything though, they just sit there.......and stare at you......*shivers*
for pikmin what about the thing that if you stay on this certain level for too long it appears and you cant kill it water something i think it's called
Do you wanna know how dangerous the x parasites are? Metroids were created by the Chozo to destroy them. Metroids, a galactic level threat, were made because the x-parasites were to dangerous. Let that sink in for minute.
Lol man I don't mean this in a bad way, but you are a TOTAL Nintendo fanboy. Not a bad thing, either mind you. It was good to see a list that was like #10-#4 all Silent Hill enemies, then Nemesis, RE Zombies, and those jaw-less guys from Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Keep up the good work!
You can kill Silent Hill or Fatal Frame enemies relatively quickly but not, say the Regenerator from Dead Space (with guns). Wouldn't you be scared if your attempting to kill something that can regenerate, and, possibly revive itself?
The funniest thing is when I was 2, my family went to their friend's house and their daughters had Super Mario 64. They played through Big Boo's Haunt and I wasn't the slightest bit scared. Even the piano, which scared the girls, didn't actually scare me. So, can I have your Metroid Prime Trilogy? Or are you just joking, because that trilogy is just rare and it be a shame to give it away.
In Luigi's Mansion, when I was little, it was by far my favorite gamecube game, but, that part in the attic, right before the big boo boss, if you didnt get enough boos, a boo would jumpscare you. I would always be extremely scared of getting jumpscared, so id check every room several times just to make sure I didn't cry my self to sleep that night
Honestly, nothing scares me anymore. Not heights, not jumpscares, not even nearly having to have my arm amputated after being bitten by a poisonous snake.

HUGE MISTAKE.
Avanelle The Derp Science Employee you scared of the unknown?
not even the unknown or clowns
I'm scared of heights
Giygas is just the most nightmare-inducing thing ever, that's all I have to say... I mean all the other enemies in EB are set sprites with a psychedelic background behind them... No *Giygas is the freaking background*
Actually, the ones on the ceiling are called Wallmasters and the ones on the floor are called Floormasters
dont ruin the magic
lol I was about to point that out when I scrolled down and saw this.

Fawful's Minion “I know that all entries prior are from Nintendo games” Halo is a Nintendo game?
A most fantastic list as usual, Animalguy001. I like the fact that you don't put super generic things that we have seen a thousand times on your lists. It's interesting to see something different.
Half life series is number 3.
HL3 confirmed
yeah right HL3 confirmed my butt
Butt has 3 different letters, HL3 confirmed.
theres 3 commrnts hl3 confirmed
+XxNoahTakerxX not anymore!!!!! muhahahahahaha!!!!!
Regenerators and Floormasters both still terrify me...and yes, the Luigi's Mansion ghosts and the Possessed Piano also have given me quite a few shocks to the system.
Pyramid Head, Slenderman, anything from Cry of Fear, the Amnesia grunt, and SCP-106 are all missing from this list.
Most of those are not enemy's, but more like bosses
those are all ok but some of these are better because of the childhood fear factor
Lol. Slender man is not scary
Judging from your poor sentence structure and lack of any refined judgement, neither do you.
Roger Fenn i think those creepy pale monster things from thief are extremely scary. But yea, witches are terrifying too.
And now to count how many people pointed out that there are Floormasters and Wallmasters and that though they look the same, they are different.
I nearly shit myself at the piano when I was little...
TrueSkyblueClouds Not to seem like an egotistical brat but when I first went up to the piano going to play it, When it went to killer mode I didn''t give two shits
allison bushbaum Yeah... I'm just a jumpy person. Plus, I consume a retarded amount of sugar and caffeine, so that doesn't help much xD
gg
hey is that footage from chuggaaconroys LP of Pikmin for the Smokey Prog?
i agree the first time i saw that DAMN piano i also got scared the first time i actually felt fear
big boos haunt isn't scary.
Stupid Mad Piano! I freaking HATE that enemy! It's annoying and frightening in the original version of the game.
"and the persistence of Bowser" ahaha that quote got me! xD
10:44. The only problem with the video I had was that it's Wallmasters and not Floormasters that come down from the ceilings in the Legend of Zelda series.
I consider the Dahaka from Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within to be the scariest
Nah the dahaka is only really scary when he's chasing you but when he isn't he just looks badass
Where did you find that awsome rendition of lugia's song?
Hey Animalguy (or Fawlful's Minion..) Do you remember the part when the pictures started talking? That scared the FUDGE out of me when i was little!!! Did that part scare you, too? I'm just wondering!
***** Don't forget that Mimi is also somehow MECHANICAL. When you flip, she has gears in her spider thing
+??????? ??????? the irony...
Dude. What music from half life 2 is playing at #3?
P.S I' m talking about the beginning.
That piano should have been number one. That thing is responsible for traumatizing countless unsuspecting players.
He missed that on number 3, YOU CAN FEEL THE PAIN OF YOUR CHEST CAVITY OPENING FROM THE HEAD CRAB. Hence the horrifying screams of the zombies.
how did u get to the area with the piano with no stars?
Regenerators will always be number one for me. Cool list, nice to see something different for a change! :)
I kinda freaked out when the SA-X turned into that giant monster that vaguely resembled a power suit orgy. Fucking scarred me for life.
I dunno why,but the living piano never scared me. Maybe its because i was looking how close it was to the coin,it made me instantly think "Its a trap,i just know it is."
Floormasters are the hands that come out of the ground. Wall masters fall from the ceiling
When I first saw this piano, I thought "Was that supposed to be scary?"
Ouch! That's gotta hurt! Is Bowser okay? Just asking.
I seriously didn't get scared by the piano but it shocked me when it happened at first
the flood DEFINETELY scared me, especially when that music started playing
He says "let talk about something we all have in common" and GOD DAMB IT MOTHER FUCKING JUMP SCARES. Fuck i need a hug now
what was that for the jump scare
Most underrated channel EVAR!!!!
I have to admit, when I was a child Gnasty Gnorc from the first Spyro game absolutely frightened me. No idea why to be honest.
The piano definitely took me by surprise, but the eel scared me just a tiny bit more.
The Witch from Left 4 Dead, Cackle from DKC2, the dianogas from Shadows of the Empire, and the skullfish from Twilight Princess gave me a fright too.
wait if u hate charizard how come he is your account picture instead of fawful or darkrai
Damn X parasites...the SA-X is the worst of them all. When you first meet it, it has SOULLESS EYES. When the computer CO warns you about it, that same picture of it with the SOULLESS EYES flashes on-screen screamer style. how the hell did you make 62 top 10s
What about pyramid head from silent hill? That noise of the blade scraping on the floor
hows bowsers arm healing up?
Scariest enemies for me have always been Metroids. They can latch onto your head, drain your life force, and seem to get stronger with every game.
love the list, but i gotta ask, you never played silent hill ? because that shit is way more scarier then dead space to say the least. But i like the list though
There is this one obscure game called "Irisu Syndrome" that if you don't get a certain amount of points you get a scary picture pop up.
the giant worm centipeed from dark souls still scare me more than the flood
anyone notice at 4:00 was footage from chuggaconroy's pikmin LP?
Why do I get the feeling I've seen this video years ago? It's the smoky progg moment and it's that feeling like about 8 or so years ago. Old, almost forgettable, but you swear you've seen it before.
Are you having spooks?
When I saw that Gygas was not number 1, I thought "WHY?!?!", then I saw the X at number 1 and thought "oh"
dude what about Pyramid Head from Silent Hill?
That's a boss not a enemy
That Possessed Piano always scared me, and I almost always refused to go into that room when I was a kid.
ok, i put Ellois, not Allois(not even from the same game), Malo as in...? and bosses are still enemies, because they are a hostile that you either fight or avoid.
Where did that clip of jontron pukeing came from?
oh man i know it wasn't on your list but I thought you were gonna talk about the waterwraith when you brought up pikmin. That thing gives me nightmares
what about metroids? where do they place?
Good vid bro but one question. Where is Pyramid Head on this list?
Amnesia The Dark Descent:
the monsters you see a lot are:
Grunt, Brute, and Ellois. Ellois is the one with the metal ring around its neck, and scratches all around its body.

u r the effing best animal guy i love ur videos keep em coming
about a week ago, I realized that the only "horror" enemies that genuinely scared me were the ones you can't kill. I thought; "well, what if every enemy was like the regenerator or the hunter, and just got harder to keep down every time yuou blew all it's limbs off?"

no deadhand?
There's only 2 enemies on this list that are scary and have you ever played mw2
I like you cause you don't care what people say about you, and you don't care what you say to people, I may disagree with several of your lists, but I respect you, keep it up man

Are you shitting me Fawful's Minion?!
XD. Speaking of which, can you point me towards a how to make videos for idiots guide? Do I need a high tech camera or can I record with anything? The scariest monster in video games should be pyramid head from the Silent Hill series.
Boss not enemy
no Kaernk from Amnesia???
Correction, the Robot in Metroid Fusion is not an X-Parasite. Some might say it is, but it's not.
Uh actually, your computer says it was infected by X-Parasites, just like Nightmare and Ridley's remains.
SA-X was Samus' suit infected with X parasites.
I scoffed at the piano, i thought it wasn't a big suprise, haunted atmosphere, blahlahblah, so i went near the piano, got the coin, and blahblahblah not scared...
If we count licensed games, would their be room for the Scarecrow from Batman Arkham Asylum?
The things that I hate are any of the monsters from the sunken ship in Okami. The spider queen ghost heads that fly right up in your face, the hands that pop out of the treasure chests, the giant green hands that try to crush you and the MOTHER FUCKING CREEPY DOLLS!!! The dolls don't do anything though, they
just sit there.......and stare at you......*shivers*
I played all the halo games and the floods didn't scare me. I was around 7
Not to be egotistical but as a kid that piano was nothing but a, "Hey, look! it's a bad thing."
What about the Crimson Heads from the RE1 remake? Those were a lot scarier than the Regenerators, imo, and a lot cleverer in concept.
grammar?? no i haven't heard of him ever before. from whitch game is he?
What about The Sorrow from Metal Gear Solid 3? That attack he did made me jump every time it hit me.
for pikmin what about the thing that if you stay on this certain level for too long it appears and you cant kill it water something i think it's called
sooo relatable to 10. 7 years old playing it at night, the ghost screams.... horrible nightmares
Do you wanna know how dangerous the x parasites are? Metroids were created by the Chozo to destroy them. Metroids, a galactic level threat, were made because the x-parasites were to dangerous. Let that sink in for minute.

How about Fear 2 Project Origin ?
you ever played FEAR?
what about mr. face (Amnesia the dark decent)?
Ya know the sounds Headcrab zombies make when they're on fire? Reverse the voices and you'll get a little surprise.
You can kill Silent Hill or Fatal Frame enemies relatively quickly but not, say the Regenerator from Dead Space (with guns). Wouldn't you be scared if your attempting to kill something that can regenerate, and, possibly revive itself?
In my oppinion, you should make a top 10s for each individual pokemon generation :3
Dead Space-freaky as fuck
Dead Space 2- Freakier as fuck
Dead Space 3- give Isaac a rifle and it is now action...
still love the series to death
the what is the shadow mr. wise man?
In Luigi's Mansion, when I was little, it was by far my favorite gamecube game, but, that part in the attic, right before the big boo boss, if you didnt get enough boos, a boo would jumpscare you. I would always be extremely scared of getting jumpscared, so id check every room several times just to make sure I didn't cry my self to sleep that night
