  • The idea behind the Luxilon Smart string is for the string to stiffen on faster swings for control and soften on slower swings for touch, feel and comfort. Does it work? Watch this review to find out.

    So lines. Can you do a summary of all the lines of luxilon and what they do?

      Never heard of that, but the name makes me curious!

    This is a very interesting string as it allows for more people to have a better chance to try a poly.
    Great review
    Also, Would you be willing to sell your clash prototype?

  • @jorgeandrescoppiano
    @jorgeandrescoppiano 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I find that when a poly dies, first it loses tension, in other words it stretches and stays stretched. And losing some snap back (less spin), and giving more power and less directional consistency.
    And then, it stiffens, reducing the obtained power and giving more control by becoming less bendable, and giving more feedback or vibrations by forming deeper creases where the mains meet the crosses.
    My last string jobs of Gosen Poly Professional 1.29 and Topspin CyberBlue 1.30 have given me this result.
    Do you have the same idea?

    Fab review Jonas. You covered a lot of ground. Very much looking forward to your thoughts on using it with Clash Tour
    So far, I'm finding RPM Blast to be my favourite string with Clash Tour.

    • @Tennisnerd
      @Tennisnerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Chairman! I am still waiting for the Tour, it was supposed to come here weeks ago...:( I could see why a deader poly such as the RPM Blast works well in the Clash/Clash Tour.

    @Tennisnerd Can you tell me what setup do you use to record your matches/hitting sessions? I would love to record my game

    • @Tennisnerd
      @Tennisnerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Recording your game is a great idea. There is a post on it on www.tennisnerd.net but I will create a more specific one too. Below is a bit more about my setup with links to the stuff I use. Quite basic and inexpensive but does the trick.
      *I use a Lumix GX 800: amzn.to/2u6W8m9
      A relatively inexpensive camera that does most things well. Records in 4G too, but I mainly use the HD setting. I am not an expert on cameras or photography in any way or form, so if I can use this camera, I am sure you can.
      *To set it up behind me when I am playing I use a basic, but sturdy tripod. Here is an example: amzn.to/2SZorNI
      *I also really recommend you to get some extra batteries as a tennis session takes some time to record.
      amzn.to/2T2ox7j
      Good luck! / Jonas

      Kaps77 Great racquet! I put a full bed of Luxilon Alu power strung at 53 pounds in mine and I love it! That is a tad on the high side for ploys, so you could get away with dropping it 4-7 pounds if you prefer more power. Hope this helps!

    Hi jonas, how would you compare lxn smart with Volkl cyclone tour?

    • @Tennisnerd
      @Tennisnerd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Lucas, I think the feel is a bit nicer with the Smart, could be a subjective thing, but I prefer it, but the durability with the Cyclone Tour is a bit better.
