Yes, that’s true. BASIC would take long just to draw Pac Man himself digitally, the screen flashing, commands on certain keys, and more. It’s really impressive how they got games like this to run on a text based program. Kinda like running 3D on a 2D rendering program.
It's a shame the MSX2 couldn't handle the scrolling for games like this. Ironically, an MSX port sold in Europe was also churned out as well (based on the ZX Spectrum version). th-cam.com/video/ctbiaKL6Xjc/w-d-xo.html
Is the MSX music based on the NES' version or is it the other way around because their Pac-Man Parks and Sandbox Lands are the same just with different instruments
man, everytime I would try to jump over a ghost, they would always counter by jumping with me. It was at the point where I didn'te even use it anymore.
Bonjour, Je ne connais pas le MSX mais la puce sonore est de bonne qualité. Et ce n'est qu'un 8 bits ! Hello, I do not know the MSX but the chip is of good quality. And it's only 8 bits!
4 million lines of Basic!

I’ve never seen this version of the game before!
At 0:49 it sounds like a genesis
Pac Mania sounds nice
This video is kinda ironic to me since that was uploaded on my birthday...

Bass on this MSX Version sounds like Japanese Sega Master System
I mean yeah, since both systems pretty much use the YM2413 chip for FM.
You missed the other levels
13:44 my favorite opening!

you can jump over funky (green) but not spunky (grey)
@@bluberrydee6205 lol. I might very well have had that kind of bad luck. Thanks for the info though.
@@deadlyraver4454 np
@@deadlyraver44543 years later, you had to time your jumps correctly to get over green ghosts otherwise you would crash into them mid-jump
why didn't you play the other levels ?
This is MSX2, not MSX!
Yeah
The only issue i see on this verison is the scrolling and frame rate the rest looks good
That may for msx2!
can you play to arcade version of this game and do a longplay of it
That music of Pac-Mania sound like Master System FM
It uses the same YM2413 chip
This is a scc version!
I like this game🙂.
Bonjour,
Je ne connais pas le MSX mais la puce sonore est de bonne qualité. Et ce n'est qu'un 8 bits !
Hello,
I do not know the MSX but the chip is of good quality. And it's only 8 bits!

@@mariodykstra6555 That's french
And also SNES sound chip is 8-bits and it suond even better
@@vittosphonecollection57289 Actually, French is the same as English, but with a different accent. GET IT RIGHT!
@@mariodykstra6555 But u said spanish
Guys this is MSX2! no one knew that?
Still it’s good
MSX2 can do way better. They didn't really try with the scrolling.

Too slow.
This port wasn’t good
