DD is one of those hard-core right winger types. And he thinks proving Christianity proves all that because he conflates the two. This is not about truth to him. Van Til was right, but Darth doesn't even really argue that properly. His goal is totally unrelated to truth. I've heard him try obtaining approval from atheists by telling them he "hates conspiracy theorists" That should tell you all you need to know
Not knowing what is ultimate behind all facts has no bearing in whether you can understand some facts. He just doesn't accept that. He thinks if you don't know what it is then you have to act as if it doesn't exist. I'm not educated in logic, but it seems that all or nothing thinking would be a named logical fallacy.
Jeez, even my grandpa( god rest his soul) would cringe at this behavior and argument from a fellow Christian. Honestly the pre sup argument is really a became a coping mechanism for religious conspiracy theorist.
It puts one into an unnatural mental state, which interferes with one's ability to hear God's voice. If done responsibly and with moderation, it's probably not going to be a major problem. The problem is few actually do it responsibly and with moderation.
@@lightbeforethetunnel Okay what about people like me who have never touched any kind of drug in their entire life and still have never heard "god's voice." People like you who claim to hear god speaking to you aren't any different to the people in the padded cell.
@RadicalRed1 God doesn't vocally "speak to" people directly in the way you're thinking. God will speak to you in other ways... through, say, other humans you interact with. The person will not realize they are being used for that purpose, and they'll think they thought of the words they spoke themselves. And other ways. But anyone telling you they hear an actual voice, and say that's God, is probably mentally ill.
Im still trying to figure out how to take Darth and Co seriously when they do the exact same crap atheists do when their Cosmology is questioned.
If they really mean what they're saying about the bad behavior of atheists then they wouldn't do all the same crap themselves w/ FE. But they do.
Oh haven't you heard? Truth suddenly doesn't matter anymore when it's something they don't believe.
Or mockery is employed.

This is coming from someone who used to do both, a lot.

@@RadicalRed1 I've never met a Christian who claimed that he actually heard voices in the way you're thinking before btw.
