I never realized how dangerous Rean is perceived as from the opposing side. We're so used to easy going Protag Rean, 0:33 he almost seems like some form of apocalyptic scale force.

Glad to see Rean, Altina, Campanella, Lechter on the anime (Sara and Aurelia have to be there too) and can't wait to see what really happened in North Ambria, i always wished we would go there in game, especially to see the famous salt pale we heard so much about
Idk if you called Rean being there as saving the day. He went berserk at the end of war, so who know what exactly happened to the Northern MC. Especially we have 0 mentions of her after Reverie and Kuro.

Rean is actually the villain in this story. We are going to see from the perspective of the north ambrians while the empires is trying to conquer them, and we all know how thay ends.

Watching the show in the POV of North Ambria is a unexpected side I had no idea I would be excited about. Making Rean appear as the villian invader definitely is a new feeling.

Except he isn't really the villian nor was Erebonia the main antagonist if you play the game, the main villian of this arc is actually Balmund the former crown prince of Ambria the guy in white and possibly Ouroboros which shows #0 Campella

The first adaptation was so low budget even though the first two games of Trails of the Sky were 10/10, due to bad timing.

Trails is my favorite game series of all time I've played every game in the series except for Kuro 2 (waiting on the PC port) and the franchise means a hell of a lot to me and so many others so to see it being given the anime treatment it deserves is heartwarming. Hopefully the anime will inspire more to people to the series because it's a hidden gem that more people need to experience. The song also slaps lol
We're so used to seeing rean as the nice gut who'd take on the world for his friends... Seeing him like this and watching a new main character not even stand a chance against hime is gonna be interesting. I mean, watching them all get mowed down while Rean feels bad is gonna be a cool new view point

Legend of Heroes is a criminally underrated series. Been a huge fan ever since the Gagharv trilogy on PSP.
For all the flaws that this series has, it doesn't change the fact that the Trails series is one of _the_ best JRPG franchises in existence to a lot of people, myself included. And while I can see why people would prefer Estelle and Lloyd as far as protagonists go, the Erebonia arc is where I began with not only the series, but Falcom games as a whole. So forgive me if I may have a bit of a soft spot for Rean, despite the insane harem shenanigans that Falcom started with the CS games. And it makes me really happy that we're getting _another_ animated series based on those wonderful games. (There were OVAs based off of the Liberl arc, for those wondering.)
If anyone watching this trailer hasn't yet played these games, I'd wholeheartedly recommend jumping in now. Though it'd probably be best to jump in right at the very beginning with Trails in the Sky FC. Trust me, you will _not_ be disappointed.

From Rean's animations in game, that doesn't look like the pose for Gale. It looks more to me like he's about to use (True) Arc Slash.

I'm so excited for this. Trails is my favorite JRPG series of all time, and it's extremely underrated. It does require time and dedication to get into, but it's worth it tenfold. I sincerely hope this anime puts more eyes on this amazing series. It's criminal that it's not more popular.

Yes, Rean is the Best 💖 & yet I seem so many comments about people hating on him. Though this hatred seems to be Limited only to English fans as Rean constantly wins the Popularity polls of the series in Japan.
Won't go mainstream even with anime. The reason being is that the majority of Westeners are still hooked on "gRaPhiCs" and love boring OP main characters that lack any real character development. Also, if an anime-based game isn't from an AAA studio like SquareEnix or Bandai Namco then goodbye hopes and dreams.

I'm actually glad this isn't just a retelling of the games and we get some insight on what happened during these events. Wouldn't mind if this meant more spin off series, there's definitely enough lore for it.

It's a bit sad for the North Ambria folks knowing Rean is the MC afterall and he's got a giant mecha, so ofc at the end things went his way. But i wonder if their struggle made a difference. I hope they did.

I hope we get to see Principal from the Branch Campus, Aurelia Le Guin, in action. From what I remember from TCS3, she has mastered the Vander and Areid swordsmanship.
She’s one of the strongest alive in the whole of known Zemuria, she’s essentially as strong as Arianrhod was. BEAST
I don't think Aurelia will appear much probably till the end as she is the grand commander of the Imperial Army Division for the Northern Campaign against North Ambaria. If she appear too early, their wouldn't be a Northern War

I Know this might just be a movie I don't know but if this is a series, I need to see the beginning from the start of Class 7 which included everybody because that would be a series to watch.

This anime is completely original, taking place between CS2 and CS3. Class VII has already split up and Rean's working with Altina on missions as a set up "hero" while still going to Thors (presumably in Class I). Of course, Rean is also not the main character of this anime, as it's focused on the North Ambrians. Look forward to the unstoppable advance of Aurelia Le Guin as she breaks through every thing the heroes of this story can throw at her.
This movie takes place between the second and third game.
If it's a series, I agree that it needs to centre around SOME characters - but others, like Elliot were kinda self-explanatory anyway (Becoming a musician)

Well... 1st episode is out and it went pretty good! The end credits caught me off guard as one photo shows a guy in a long white coat playing cards in a casino with our anime protagonist disguised in the background! that same photo shows a platinum-blond hair guy in black clothes playing slots. Anyone who has played TOCS 3 knows what this photo is referring to. This makes me belive that the new character is not getting killed off at least.
