Last week we put our walls and ceiling together as well as assembling our furniture - this week is all about the kitchen as we do some carpentry to get our cupboard doors on as well as installing our water heater, grabbing a safe and popping our kitchen benchtop on to match with our tile splashback.

For months I have been watching your videos with high anxiety because you don't wear masks...but you didn't need to. It's awful to wear them in the heat, but in my area of Canada we have been wearing them for almost a year now 😢. Australia is still a shining example of how to keep Covid19 cases low.

Hunter is sooo adorable! And I love how you guys spend and enjoy every single minute with hunter. ❤ One of the things I admire about you guys is that Jessy always sits with Hunter at the back of the car. I know some vloggers there in Australia who lets their babies sit alone at the backseat even though they have that mirror thingy to check on her. But still, I think it's unsafe. They disappoint me and the mother of the baby was born and raised in Philippines same as I do. SO I SALUTE YOU GUYS FOR BEING THE BEST YOU CAN BE AS FIRST TIME PARENTS. 😘❤ More blessings to come your way! Lovelots! ❤

We did a van build in the 80's using a 1979 GMC van. The USA was just ending the van build craze in 1983 so the bonus for us was that there were full size templates for everything and we just covered the panels with short shag carpet. Your work reminds us so much of what we did. Al worked for Intel who gave everyone back then a sabattical every 7 years !!! Adding on vacation time earned we had the entire summer off (3 months) with our then family of 3 boys ages 8 months to 7 years. Locked the house and left to explore the Great American West staying in campgrounds and Victorean era hotels alternately.
1) Stephen! You're editing and storytelling skills. Are excellent, like cinematic quality.
2). You need an N-95 mask. They fit better. And you won't be fighting it.
3). I drank the last Bundanberg Ginger Beer in South Carolina! The stores stopped selling them last month!

Pro tip. If you're mask is falling down. Take the strap and twist it before you put it around your ear. So the strap makes a figure 8. This will tighten it a bit. If you need more or less than that just find the center and tie a knot.
Good idea so long as it does not gap too much on either side. Using the nose piece is key.

I love how perth instantly goes into lockdown. I’ve lived here for quite some time now, and our government is taking amazing precautions for COVID-19, as it truly shows how much they care about their citizens
On a completely unrelated subject, if I had a bunk above my parents bed when I was younger, they would’ve woken up every morning to me jumping onto their stomachs. Not just like a small jump. I would full on knee jump. (Probably just my dad because we would play fight all the time)

wow the van is looking good here is a little tip on hunters bed u got the extra lip on it so as a extra precaution install a netting on the front

I love all your videos - even the van build. :) For Hunter's bunk bed - I am not sure the lip on the edge of her bed will be tall enough. It will stop the mattress from falling off, but she may still roll off. Just FYI. Good luck with the rest of the build!

Another exciting update on Cooper the Van 😊 I’m a little concerned about Hunter’s bunk, though... do you think that lip will be high enough to be effective once a mattress goes on? Maybe it’s just the angle in the vlog, but it doesn’t look like it will be. Anyhow I’m sure you’ve got it all under control 😊👍🏼
Yeah I agree. Once the mattress goes on that lip will be useless. Need to be much higher
Nah I actually dont think it's enough once we had put it in! We are working on another solution :)
Could you maybe use one of those “slide under the mattress” barriers that people use for little kids when they move from a cot to a big bed?
Or a pool noodle under a fitted sheet ;)

I'm so sorry to be negative when you guys are always such a positive part of my week but I'm a little worried that your vlog shows what kind of safe you're getting, where its going to be in the van and what's going to be in there. It looks like you are not putting in a bathroom. I’d strongly suggest a porta potty to be used for the backroads or middle of the night needs...... especially as Hunter gets bigger.

Hey kids, just one more comment: You've added a lot of weight, consider upgrading your brakes and springs. We overlooked doing that and had trouble in the mountains. Something to think about while you jaunt around the South towards Melbourne.

the van looks so good! England needs a stricter lockdown because now they are on about needing proof of vaccination before going into certain hospitality places e.g. theatres. (they are also talking about rapid testing) personally I don't think they should do that because some people can't or don't want to be vaccinated for certain reasons and it is limiting lives further. It would be so much better if they didn't lift our lockdown as they are planning to do but instead make it stricter
