  • We're Back at it!
    After a month break for some much needed house repairs, the Vaydor is back and getting better. After a faulty fuel pump made things complicated, it was time to get things figured out and push forward!
    3:35-Body fit and alignment.
    13:00-Tack welding cage and bonding plates
    19:45-Welding things solid
    24:00-Bonding the body permanently
    29:15-Fiberglassing rear tubs
    34:10-Sissor door hinges
    35:55-Building the doors
    49:32-Attaching the doors
    59:38-Trimming and misc
    1:01:18-Progress photos
    1:01:57-Wheel arrival
    1:03:43-New wheels installed

    Wow, got done watching all 3 videos you had on this so far. I remember seeing a Vaydor from the Suicide Squad movie and just randomly remembered it tonight. Always wondered how these came to be. Can't wait to see the finished product.

      Thank you for watching! Yeah there’s quite a lot involved and not very much information to help build them so I’m hoping my videos will give future builders something else to look at. I’ll have part 4 out fairly soon.

    Great stuff. I’m at this stage too. Besides the tubs, where did you put bonding adhesive at the rear of the car? All of the roll cage tube that touches it?

      Yes, I feel like anywhere that you might be able to get some good contact is probably a safe bet. I’m thinking I’ll also weld some brackets somewhere on those two back bars of the cage where it meets the bumper mounts and maybe fabricate those brackets to accept a bolt from the outside of the body. Still not completely sure on that yet.
