Is there a way to go for a calf slicer once I already have the back taken? Like instead of going for a regular rear naked choke I do a transition to a calf slicer. Maybe with a twister-like set up?
Excellent video. I actually tried the first calf slicer to a turtled opponent earlier today having watched this clip afew times. Got pretty close to pulling it off but I kind of forgot how to complete it, so I abandoned it. Rewatching I realised I was actually doing it correctly, I just needed to sit back to complete it. Was just wondering do you have a heel hook from everywhere video too? I ask cause I'm not really much of a leg guy and alot of the guys at my gym are heel hookers and leg attack guys. Usually I'm just always using weight distribution to keep them pinned and get them caught in a head and arm sit out like Ronda did after throwing her opponents or I use a guilly or kimura/americana approach as my go too moves. Usually do well blocking off the leglocks using an arm across the face or a kimura lock or a guilly attack to stay glued to them. But I always see that I could get their legs as usually I'm pressuring from the top, but from not having much leg knowledge I play it safe with just going for the upperbody or faint the leg attack to jump on their neck.
I don’t do a lot of leg locks videos, just because so many others do them. But I do enjoy them and have thoughts about doing something like you said “heel hooks from everywhere,” and also something like “everything you want to know about heel hooks but are afraid to ask.” And also, thinking about doing an “every type of leg lock” video. I appreciate the feedback!
@@KnightJiuJitsu thank you for taking the time to respond, much appreciated 🙏 Such videos would be great, so if you do make any on the topic I'll definitely watch it. Thanks for making such detailed and easy to understand video's. Hope you're having a fantastic day 😊🙏
I use the calf slicer when my opponent gets the omoplata on me. The try to triangle me, I move my arm behind me, they switch to omoplata, they create the figure-four with their legs, I grab the extended leg, throw it over my neck/head, grab the foot, then I use the calf slicer.
As an striker picking up grappling/BJJ, I will never forget the sensation! Nothing more terrifying as when one manages to get caught in a good calf slicer( At the time I didn’t realize what was about to enfold) And your eyes meets theirs as they get this smug grin and anticipate the exquisite expression of fear, due to the impending, instant, excruciating pain that is to come 🤪🤣👍🏻! I’ve been punched a lot, and yeah that’s pretty awful, but man, this is something else lol! when I first started learning BJJ and I got introduced to” Pain induced compliance/ submission holds” I quickly come to appreciate the all encompassing definition that the word ” Pain” entails. It’s utterly horrible, but oh so fun.” BJJ, A sadist’s way of life “🤣🤪 quickly came to the acknowledgement that yeah, you need to learn this. Good question. Several possible things could happen depending on the angle and pressure, from tearing the muscle, damaging ligaments, separating the knee, even breaking the tib/fib. Potentially a nasty move.

This isn't a self-defense video. And even if it were allowed, I have an equal shot plus a submission. I would trade a shot to the balls vs a broken leg.

Outstanding!! As always! I'm a black belt myself sir but still learn a lot from watching your videos. Excellent content.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that.
@@KnightJiuJitsu Fantastic instruction with meticulous detail. Your mat time definitely shows🤙🏽🥋
@@KnightJiuJitsu so cool that you detailed the splits option too, that’s a favorite from leg in
Genuinely eye opening as a beginner, thanks !
Black belt is just to say U masters the basics keep working bro
People forget that ther are far more leg locks than just heel hooks. Great video, I hope it makes the calf slicers a bit more popular!
I really appreciate this 🙌
I'm myself black blet and once i watch your videos sir i get them easily ..Your way of mastering is so nice and easy sir.

This should be called "truck entries...and maybe finish with a calf slicer"
That’s fair

Definitely. There are some good truck transitions from back. Geo Martinez has the gold on that.
7:28 eli probably throws in way more dad jokes than we're aware of but they always get cut from the video
It’s basically my entire teaching style in person.
This is very accurate. He’s a black belt in Dad jokes as well.
My favorite submission! I once had a dream where I submitted a guy in a street fight with it.
