    25:36 Most beautiful stretch of land I've ever seen. The enitre landscape you're on looks as if it's slanted and the layered colors of the mountains/foothills are absolutely mesmerizing at sunrise. Looking back, I wish I had stopped to take it all in. When I get a car that can handle the trip, I will go again.

      Those are the Book Cliffs. It's a bunch of mudstone deposited when this area was underwater in part of a huge seaway that connected the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic hundreds of millions of years ago in the Cretaceous. Above those mudstones are ancient river delta deposits, recording the shoreline migrating forward into that seaway.

    Where are the rapid food stores and gas stations? During all the land trip video I couldn’t see anything about it 😟

    It's crazy, I just had this trip and I kinda now want to move there.

      I think everyone wants to move there for various reasons, even though it's blazing hot. I don't know where you live, but the residents of those areas want outsiders to stay out. I can't blame them. It only benefits the people moving in; the people who live there feel the effects of a growing population.

      @@tylerbrown20 I’m getting ready to drive to San Diego from Denver this weekend. What is hard about the trip?

    • @tylerbrown20
      @tylerbrown20 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@XFile91 yup same. Doing that in a couple of weeks here. If you plan on doing in in 2 days, I recommend staying in cedar city, there is a nice Springhill suites there. If you do it in one shot, just make sure you got plenty of caffeine. Knock out the Rockies earlier in the morning when you are wired and then get ready for Utah which is flat and boring. I'd recommend filling up in either grand junction, or green river Utah (green river is the last gas station for 103 miles, until Salina (another good spot to fill up). Once you get on the 15, not much to see, pretty straight road. Just make sure you are nice and awake when you cross into Arizona, because there is about 15 miles of windy canyon and plenty of idiot drivers. You drop out of the canyon and have about 100 miles or so of literally nothing and desert to Las Vegas. This is usually my last fill up before booking it home. Vegas to Barstow is usually fun. Its not uncommon to end up following a line of cars doing over 100. As soon as you hit San Bernardino, you are gonna be on traffic, likely on the 60, so make sure you got caffeine in ya. Once you cross into San Diego, it's pretty chill. Total drive takes 16ish hours. Halfway point is about beaver, Utah. Hope you have a good drive.

      Well, by now, you've taken your drive. What did you think? I was nervous too. I imagined my car climbing steep cliffs. But, you don't even realize that you're going actually into those high elevations. Am I right. What a beautifully awesome drive. What a beautiful country we live in.
