    Super appreciate the time put into this so I feel a little bad for nitpicking lol but in case you do a part 2:
    -Falling upair at ~0-15% sets up for the footstool combo.
    -Dash-back pivot fsmash is a more consistent option for getting tipper bat off of a lock instead of magnet and often kills at dair footstool %.
    -Sourspot bair is my go-to for missed techs on platforms. (Usually use dthrow to set it up)
    -Locks on platforms can be extended by running into your opponent forcing them off the platform into a pratfall. Great for getting more damage or putting them in position for pk fire dair or falling upair to dtilt spam at ledge.
    -front hit of dsmash sets up for locks at early % and sends at a super low angle. obscure but I’ve caught people with it.
    -using the short hop macro makes it easier to get the footstool after dair/upair
    -upair locks from below platforms (I haven’t mastered this one yet tho)
    These are just what I could remember off the top of my head but feel free to dm me if you do a part 2.

      I found that dair into footstool jablock etc. works best around 20-40 percent (depends on weight) because they have WAY less time to react to what you’re doing. Execution is a bit harder but I’ve never seen any one tech it like this so I find it worth it

    Ness is sooo saucy with all these set ups, his movement options are something else. Footstool jablock has got to be the coolest setup in the game

    What I would have liked to see:
    - A chart of when/who dtilt -> magnet -> fsmash misses
    - the fact that dthrow can setup for tech situations at low % on plats, which can be locked by fullhop dair
    - magnet -> bair followups out of pk fire, as this kills much earlier than backthrow across stage
    - getting a short hop double jump cancelled pk fire after the first pk fire, which can lead into aerials.

    Thank you for putting in time for this!! One extra tip: when we do down tilt, down tilt, PK Fire, it’s normally hard to Fsmash the opponent in the fire because they drift out of range. However, if we do a slight dash forward into Fsmash, bat lands about every time! Probably my most consistent jab lock punish.
    To input, after landing a PKF, just flick (and hold) forward to begin a dash, but a few frames later press and hold A. This will cause you to move slightly forward (so you’re in range to use Fsmash) and then charges an F smash. Best of luck, and thanks for the guide!

    One thing that helped me with the footstool jab lock was mashing jump really fast a bunch of times after the Dair until I see the footstool animation and then I do the down air dodge

    The most reliable jab lock confirm follow ups in terms of consistency and kill power are:
    dtilt -> dtilt -> pk fire -> short hop dair -> up air (to kill vertically)
    and
    dtilt -> dtilt -> pk fire -> jump buffer double jump djc psi magnet wait for two ticks of psi magnet -> pk fire -> run up pivot back air
    I recently discovered the second option and will be making a video on it, depending on oppenents di, it is true

    At 0-10% (I think) you can do strong hit fast fall up air into footstool

    Against Pichu, aerial Magnet is a jab-lock setup at any%, no matter how stale it is. Grounded magnet does less knockback and doesn't knock him out of the lock.
    Also, you don't SDI pk fire, you DI out and up. The bolt has an SDI multiplier of 0, and the pillar doesn't have any freeze-frames to SDI out of.

    Also a jab lock setup I use is around 20% for mid weight characters is close-up pk fire into nair to down tilt magnet and f smash
    It’s a really neat trick ;)

    Any tips on doing short hop magnet consistently?
    And also reversing it to do a bair out of it. I would really appreciate some tips cuz I find it hard to do.

      For PSI Magnet, I Just B Reverse. For Short Hoping, You Can Press The X & Y Buttons At the Same Time To Do A Short Hop

      @@Tael98 After You Do A Jump You Have 3 Frames To Input A Direction Either To The Left Or Right, If You Do It Fast Enough You'll Stay With A Short Hop (or lightly tap jump) After That Use PSI Magnet Then Immediately Input An Arial, You Can Also Do A Double Jump Cancel With PSI Magnet And Then Do An Arial. For B Reversing, Slightly Tilt The Stick Downwards and To The Direction Opposite Of Where Your Facing and Perform The Magnet To Face The Other Direction

      The thing about specials is, they don't activate the short-hop macro like attacks do. Jump+A will input a short-hop no matter how long you hold the jump button, but Jump+B will still require you to release the jump button during the 3-frame jumpsquat, or you will full hop.
      And this is nitpicking, but if you want to combo magnet into bair, you'll usually want a TURNAROUND magnet, not b-reversed. B-reverses reverse your momentum as well as the direction you're facing; turnaround preserves your momentum in the same direction, and just turns your character around. Just hold down+back on the control stick BEFORE you press B.

    Not really a kill option but I thought of a string. Nair to 2 down tilt jab locks PK fire grab down throw fair, or after the fire a bat, or after the grab nair uair or dair and take it further

      Unfortunitely No, But On Some Opponents It Can Either Miss Or Hit, Like For Example Mario, If He Lands A Certain Way, It Can Miss Him Entirely, On Some Characters Its Entire Luck The Way They Land On The Ground

    nice video, could you please make a tutorial about how to use the pk thunder twice while recovering? I know that if ness hits the stage he can use the pk thunder once again but is difficult to know the timing or maybe I am not doing the right inputs. Thanks

      All you have to do is angled the thunder to the wall when your offstage . First once you hit the wall upb first time immediately to about one sec you have I didn’t really lab the timing so idk you can up b back And to do this on stage just angle up downwards there’s like 3 or something angles there’s a videoing it where if you can hit it you can double up b on stage every time

    Whenever I try a jab lock it never works. I get the 2 jabs just fine but my smash attack always ends up going through my opponent. Anyone got any tips?

      You're Either Doing The Smash Attack To Slow or Missing Because Of The Way The Character Lands. I Suggest Going For A PK Fire Or Up Smash To Guarantee A Follow Up

      I pretty much spam the x button to get the footstool, the airdodge is pretty much much all luck whether I get the footstool at all

    Question... How are you able to run as soon as you land on the ground and persue the tech chase. I feel like as soon as I try to run there is a slight delay from my input to the action on screen

      Don't start to run unless you touched the ground because I think if you try to run too early you'll just end up walking

      @@jfrombk338 Well the way to run in ultimate is to flick your stick quickly in the direction you want to run in and if you do it in the air when falling it's not inputing a run since your still in the air

Like for a follow up, I do Lucas jab combo but feel like when I go to run right after, I feel stuck for a split second before the run even tho I am pressing it as soon I can. Has that ever happen to you?
