    I had a ‘70 Beep Beep with the 6 bbl and it was very quick. My old Hemi started to come alive after 80 mph.

      Thank you and for sharing. There's a road test in a magazine, 426 Hemi car against a 440 HP car (NOT A 6 BBL). The 440 took the Hemi off the line but of course lost in the end. The Hemi was built for the ovals and higher rpms. The 6 bbl has the same torque but at a much lower rpm than the Hemi. I'll gladly have both of them in my garage.

    Awesome video! My personal ride is a 1968 Barracuda fastback powered by a 400 based 512 stroker with Trick Flow heads and a hydraulic roller cam with 254 duration @.050 with 618 lift, all backed by an A833 4 speed manual. 👍

      Back in Brooklyn, NYC, we were a Mopar team. We lasted three years. We had a black 69 Dart 340 4spd, two 440 Six Pack R Runners. One vitamin C orange (69.5) and one “army truck green”(70) Both 4 speeds…. And the flagship 69 RRunner bright blue HEMI, Torqueflite on column, Super Track pack Dana, I switched the 410 with 4.88 or “Eighty Eights” when bragging. We went our separate ways in 72……. about that Time Machine …….! Being involved with this group of young men ( I wasn’t 20 until 1973) put me on a path to dealership life. Wife and I raised three kids and I would not change a thing. I am 70 now and remember my racing days like it was yesterday. God Bless the Quarter Mile !!!

      @@charliechristie2949🏆 wow that's great🏆 I had 26 different cars through life 👍a 69 Super Bee 383 four-speed 69 Coronet 440 73 Challenger 73 charger 360 74 power wagon & 74,100 now I got a 2019 two-door short box ram classic it was great being a young man 🍀back then😎✌️

      71, the last year for the HEMI. The factory decided to replace the solid lifter cam with a more docile hydraulic cam. It was still a beast. I think it was Popular Hot Rodding that did a test in 71. Taking off easy as to not set the rear tires on fire, they did 13.2 @ 107 as a best. Torqueflite and 4:10's

      Same as the ‘70. They were rated with the same HP, compression and torque as the 1970. The hydraulic cam was in the 70 hemis also but had the same lift and duration as the solid cam from 1969. The hydraulic cam was to reduce maintenance and make it more street friendly, not to cut power.
