  • Mopar: term that defines parts, service, and customer care division of the Chrysler Corporation and comprising of the Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Desoto brands.
    Basically all the cars and vehicles you see in this videolog from the first ever Mopar Fest in New Zealand, MOPARS in Morrinsville!
    I don't want to spoil it too much for you guys but this is a pretty epic event for the senses, watching, hearing, you name it! Sit back and enjoy 30+ mins of pure MOPAR heritage and memories that only cars of this league can produce.
    A huge thanks goes to Dion D'Anvers and his family for putting up a great show and to all the people and volunteers that made it possible. To next years' edition then!

    Great gathering of Mopars in NZ! I'm Canadian, and it's amazing to me how similar these Chrysler products were to our versions, which were again slightly different than the American ones. Biggest differences are the model names in some cases, and of course right hand drive. Personally had a 56 Red Ram Dodge Lancer 2-door/3-speed; a 69 Dodge Swinger (Dart) 340/4 speed; and a 72 Cuda (blown 340/Hilborn injection). In Canada the side badging saying 440 was not always the engine size, but rather a model number with anything from a slant 6 to a 440V8 in the engine bay. Would be in heaven to come to this show, but it's a little far for a day trip, so have to smell the octane burning in my head and see via TH-cam.

      Thanks for the info Bert, this was the first edition and there will be soon a second one. If you look up Mopars in Morrinsville and keep up with the updates, you should then come around for a looksy. You won't regret it!

    Piece of trivia; RHD Barracudas were either exported from the USA to the UK, either V8 and/convertible; and Chrysler Barracudas were built in South Africa, 225 Slant Six only.
    Too; the 1970-73 Chrysler Valiant in RSA was nothing more than a RHD Dodge Demon

    What’s the market for buying cars in New Zealand & how much to ship to US ?

    • @musclecars.universe
      @musclecars.universe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Ted, glad you asked. I have recently started brokering cars to and from NZ, I gotta say Kiwis are indeed keen collectors and the amount of rarities here is incredible, not just US-made. If you're interested in a particular vehicle I'd be happy to source it for you, or if you're otherwise selling as well.
      I have now partnered with a local Intl. shipping company that has good rates and great ETAs.
      Thanks again and feel free to shoot me an email at: musclecarsuniverse@gmail.com 🙏

I have skipped probably 30% of the cars, I'm not a TV production with dedicated crew. Peace.
