I think the issue is generic floodgates, boss monsters, engines and floodgates. they really need to ban them all and create in theme versions for and example a salamangreat ash that does what ash does but also has in in house effect to allow extension next turn. hand traps are one of yugiohs biggest issues and deck with the whole engine being starters can play these unimpeded but all other decks can't yes they may halt the opponent but they don't advance your engine. dream mirror is a good example traitor neiroy is a great cards so is the phantasms but if you don't opening one or both you can't really do much.
If we ban all those then yugioh would just be the early 2000s and that was incredibly boring
generic cards exist because konami is too lazy to make cards with the same effect for every archetype in the game. That's all there is to it.

Both times they had full combo, 1 player botched it and the other just played their negates awful.
But dream mirror does have 6 noirays and was To get noiray for the next turn so while it can brick its ok on consistency

Almost anything that's alt format is a fun time watch. I feel like that's why people flock to the events in Master Duel. Meta is all well and good, but it's nice to have a space where you can take a break and play with/against unconventional or lower powered decks.
Absolutely agree. Attribute 4 event taught me Suships and now I have a fully constructed build in the TCG and even brought it to locals. Got 2nd place surprisingly!

Wow. that's crazy. it's almost like removing negating handtraps, infinite positive card advantage abuse, and Floodgates creates a healthy environment both for control players and combo players rewarding creativity and skill rather than clicking yes in a correct order for every tearlament card.

Im suprised it took PK this long to top. Maybe MBT is right when he says every format people say theyare crazy and yet they do nothing. Its just they are one of my favourite designs and beside that I always thought they are way stonger than needing 4 rounds of baning to get banned
PK is as good as the generic ED monsters it can go into and most of the good ones are already banned.

The more things get banned, the more people realize there's slightly worse variants of so many things that do just enough to work.

As a Phantom Knights player, the Duel halfway into the video made me cry inside since they made every single wrong decision when trying to fight the Wind-Up board.

its a shame that you don't show more than 1 game per round. I don't see the reason not to show multiple good replays in the same round. Also I think it would be really good if you can show the deck lists of the top cut at the end of the segment.

I think because these formats are so short and semi-unpredictable, people don't have time to lab them out and solve them, so they just have to cook. Really interesting, but not really something that could be done long-term to make a healthy format. Makes for a good series, though!

as an umi control player, thats probably the weakest board u can make. also no one plays legendary ocean anymore we play pacifis or magellanica +lapis dragon if we are gonna play for some synchros maybe combining with swordsoul as well, but pacifis is the best imo.
