YES! She does other videos besides music as well. Especially when she was recovering from having caught Covid. That scared me, I was so worried for her! But she's very hardy, she's an athlete and a hard worker (I mean, those are REAL muscles in her arms from bailing hay and doing all the things for her horses, etc, REAL PHYSICAL WORK), so she got over it just fine. But there have been younger people who were athletes who also passed away from it. Anyway, she made it through (THANK GOD) and these covers give her a way to make her way back to tip-top physical condition after having that crudd. I LOVE that she does other stuff too. Interviews and vocal coaching. She's so cool!

I believe that this is the first batch of covers that Floor has done since joining Nightwish, starting with Beste Zangers. The only one I can think of that she did with Nightwish, was the acoustic "Alone" cover on the Baltic Cruise. In her After Forever days, the band did some covers including "Alone" and "The Evil Men Do". BTW, Floor had her hair up for one song in Beste Zangers, "About Love I Don't Know a Thing".
Yeah, this last series of 5 is very recent and it's also because she misses performing and singing very much. Singing and performing is her life. You can see how much she loves doing these covers. It's such a joy to watch her having so much fun in what she does best. With After Forever she did a great cover of Queen's "Who Wants To Live Forever" as well.

Fabian’s original is fantastic, and I definitely prefer the musical arrangement that she sings to, but that climax by Floor is just so damn powerful!! I can’t get enough. Laura pleads. Floor demands. It's nice to see Floor spreading her wings beyond Nightwish. In a chat with none other than Tarja (they are close despite what some think) she expressed her wish to start writing her own music and put out original work with her personality and creative juices. After the Beste Zangers blow out and these amazing covers through her YT channel, she has proven beyond any doubt that she can sing patent office application text and make it sound unique and as good as anything out there today. Her first tour is already sold out, she won artist of the year in Holland and her YT channel is growing like fungus on a wet tropical tree root. She deserves all that is coming to her. Long-live the Queen. P.S. Many speculate that she put out this song as her own farewell to Marko (based on the lyrics). Also, pausing the song in the middle of Floor's intake for a belt/run should be banned by international law and the guilty parties sentenced to 7 years of listening to Bieber and Billie Eilish. She had her hair up a couple of times on Beste Zangers. When she covered Rolf's song she had on a colorful dress and a flower in her hair. Floor explained in an interview a while back that she is very comfortable with covers because for the last several years technically, she has done almost nothing but covers. Every Nightwish song from prior to 2015 is her doing a cover.

Hi, I if you have seen the entire 2019 season of Beste Zangers you will have seen that Floor was very surprised, curious and interested in what Emma Heesters did on TH-cam and how she built up her channel. Floor started her own channel after this show to test how her fans, new fans would react to Floor solo, and because of course she just loves doing it.
As far as I got it right she started doing cover songs, because of her daughter (Let it go) and to do something during Corona. But do yourself a favour and listen to Lara Fabian's version. She also deserves it, because it is from another world, too 😊.

I think she's found it to be a great way to exercise her creative muscles, because she doesn't so much cover them, she reimagines and reinterprets. Lara Fabian's original Adagio is very beautiful and quite different in multiple ways. Floor is a songwriter as well as a singer, and has a strong creative side to her. We don't realise that in Nightwish because it's a group working together, so any contributions she makes, which you can bet she will, are made before we get to see them.

You guys do really nice reactions. It's time to begin your Lara Fabian journey. If you like Dimash (who doesn't?) And if you like Floor (also who doesn't?) you are missing the pure magic of the Lara Fabian experience. Most people doing reactions generally start with Je Suis Malade from the concert titled From Lara With Love. The one with English subtitles helps a lot. Lara speaks four languages fluently, but she sings in twelve languages! I have been in the music business for close to sixty years and her live performances are the best I have ever heard. And I have worked with some of the best. Lara is just other-worldly. If you like emotional performance, you are in for a ride!
Floor live version would be better too. Every Nightwish listener knows that. I think studio equipment is keeping Floor on a leash, limiting dynamics, compression, etcetera. There is no top recording engineer involved here too, i think her husband does it who is a drummer. :-)
Melissa Bonny is another singer who's surprisingly pure and powerful in the head voice. You're right, often singers can sound strained when forcing the high register.

for the emotional side placement of the voice, the passion and the emotion lara more dimmash and floor as strong as they go more in the acute than really go up a notch on the pitch of the "stay" unlike lara who moreover performs it live in a legendary performance, floor has a voice that is more crystalline than powerful compared to lara fabian. be careful I'm not talking about me or anything else just about floor, fabian and dimmash (the latter also gives me little emotion when he sings even if I admire his voice)

This is not really a cover from Fabian! The peace, music and lyrics, was originally written by Remo Giazotto (1919-1998). This dude claimed the music was based on unfinished work from the renowned composer Albinoni of which he found the partitures after a WW2 bombing in 1945... later it became clear that he (Remo) wrote the intire thing himself and Albinoni had nothing to do with it...😊
Actually this IS a cover from Lara Fabian. Remo Giazotto composed the classical piece of Adagio in G minor for strings and organ. And Dave Pickell (with Rick Allison) made his version of that classical piece for Lara who wrote the lyrics. And this is a cover of that Lara's Adagio.

Hi, I if you have seen the entire 2019 season of Beste Zangers you will have seen that Floor was very surprised, curious and interested in what Emma Heesters did on TH-cam and how she built up her channel. Floor started her own channel after this show to test how her fans, new fans would react to Floor solo, and because of course she just loves doing it.

As far as I got it right she started doing cover songs, because of her daughter (Let it go) and to do something during Corona. But do yourself a favour and listen to Lara Fabian's version. She also deserves it, because it is from another world, too 😊.
It started with Beste Zangers, the songs she would do on there. I think she's found it to be a great way to exercise her creative muscles, because she doesn't so much cover them, she reimagines and reinterprets. Lara Fabian's original Adagio is very beautiful and quite different in multiple ways.
Floor is a songwriter as well as a singer, and has a strong creative side to her. We don't realise that in Nightwish because it's a group working together, so any contributions she makes, which you can bet she will, are made before we get to see them.
She wanted to prove she isn't worse than Lara Fabian. Dimash also sang Adagio. After that, Lara Fabian wasn't afraid to sing with him a duet, although there was something to be afraid. Everyone has own challenge.

And if you like Floor (also who doesn't?) you are missing the pure magic of the Lara Fabian experience. Most people doing reactions generally start with Je Suis Malade from the concert titled From Lara With Love. The one with English subtitles helps a lot. Lara speaks four languages fluently, but she sings in twelve languages! I have been in the music business for close to sixty years and her live performances are the best I have ever heard. And I have worked with some of the best. Lara is just other-worldly. If you like emotional performance, you are in for a ride!

Floor live version would be better too. Every Nightwish listener knows that. I think studio equipment is keeping Floor on a leash, limiting dynamics, compression, etcetera. There is no top recording engineer involved here too, i think her husband does it who is a drummer. :-)
Melissa Bonny is another singer who's surprisingly pure and powerful in the head voice. You're right, often singers can sound strained when forcing the high register.

i think Hannes's birthday was either the day this dropped, or the day before. hell of a goddamn present! if you go back and watch "About Love I Don't Know A Thing" from Beste Zangers, Floor has her hair up for that, as well as "Que Si Siente". she also had a kind of poof going on for "Winner". i apologize for my ignorance of proper hairstyle nomenclature. that ending, just goes to show, if she had wanted to blow that whole effing place apart when she did "Shallow", she could have done so. with ease.

What i have to say...this is a celeb melody with a slightly italian contamination to it...i like her interpretation usually i am not for the exagerations ahahahah but this is not . She stopped before it would have began i have to say . But it's a personal opinion . Sometimes i say...: he/she is a technical singer but too emphatic that it becomes a caricature or "tragic" . There are 2 reasons. Floor is a vocal coach and this is a kind of advertisement but yes, this is also a way to keep her singing in shape if there are no concerts or even studio recordings.

for the emotional side placement of the voice, the passion and the emotion lara more dimmash and floor as strong as they go more in the acute than really go up a notch on the pitch of the "stay" unlike lara who moreover performs it live in a legendary performance, floor has a voice that is more crystalline than powerful compared to lara fabian. be careful I'm not talking about me or anything else just about floor, fabian and dimmash (the latter also gives me little emotion when he sings even if I admire his voice)

This is not really a cover from Fabian! The peace, music and lyrics, was originally written by Remo Giazotto (1919-1998). This dude claimed the music was based on unfinished work from the renowned composer Albinoni of which he found the partitures after a WW2 bombing in 1945... later it became clear that he (Remo) wrote the intire thing himself and Albinoni had nothing to do with it...😊

Actually this IS a cover from Lara Fabian. Remo Giazotto composed the classical piece of Adagio in G minor for strings and organ. And Dave Pickell (with Rick Allison) made his version of that classical piece for Lara who wrote the lyrics. And this is a cover of that Lara's Adagio.
