I used to know almost every capital and recognize every flag in the world, including small Micronesia nations, etc, because I used to have a World Atlas in the late 90s that featured one or two pages about every country in the world. It was my favorite book ever at that time for years. I remember how I started traveling in my mind when reading about very distant countries, and some countries felt like they were on the edge of the world - New Zealand and Japan. Then I grew up and started traveling a lot, but the pandemic stopped all that. I'd say my three favorite destinations in the world are New Zealand, Japan, and Brazil. I'd really like to visit Africa one day (and like a proper country, not Egypt, where most of the European tourists go during the winter season) , as it's the only permanently populated continent I haven't visited yet.

Probably the counting methods used for counting the number of islands of Canada and Sweden are different. According to the Wikipedia page 'List of countries by number of islands' Norway has even more islands than Sweden. According to the same list, surprisingly the USA has more inhabited islands than Indonesia.

I get a bit bored on Geography quizzes though because I find that I know most of the answers. Having spent a little time trying to memorize countries of the world, country capitals, and a few different countries' states/provinces/territories/prefectures etc and their capitals, this tends to help with several questions that come up on such quizzes. I prefer trying to answer the questions without the multiple choice answers though, because it's more challenging without them.

The Earth could be cut be cut in half horizontally giving you the "northern hemisphere" and "southern hemisphere", or it could be cut vertically giving you the "western hemisphere" and the "eastern hemisphere". Depending on how you choose to divide it, that's four possible hemispheres. Also, you can just Google it. I got that one right but missed a lot of others.
