I had to reach way back in memory for a few of these but, amazingly, I learned most of the answers from a game I play on the internet...lol...also watching documentaries...something I really enjoy. I missed 5 of the questions today.

Considering the only place I've been in Japan is Narita airport (twice), I'm pretty happy with getting 43/50 correct. Very interesting quiz. Looking forward to more country- or region-specific quizzes.
48 right but I've lived in Japan for 26 years. Technically the bullet train is called a Super Express and Shinkansen is the name of the network. Sumo may be the national sport but the biggest and most popular by far is baseball.
Question 5 is really tricky for me, because I have been to Japan (Naha, Okinawa) 3 times and the sport that is spoken most about in the news and news papers is: Baseball!
