@@brianaustin1328I went to Honda last week got 31k miles did a engine oil for free but the transmission flush oil cost me $438 there's only one plug in front of the transmission kinda like the rear differential I believe technician drained by using some pump etc
It is, but your maintenance light has to be on for it to be covered. I was doing this maintenance before the light because I was getting it ready for a long road trip.
This needs done every 10k
No. Just the first is done at 10k. The next is around 60k.
Good video. Looks like you had a lot of space to work under there without having to prop the truck in the air.
Thanks, I did use low profile ramps and backed the HRV onto them.
Appreciate this video, also any idea what size crush washers you buy?
I believe one 18mm and one 20mm. (Going off memory here…)
@@brianaustin1328 Awsome thank you sir
Can you share the drain and fill plug gasket part numbers?
My dealership just quotes me $189 in Chicagoland
😳
Can you do a transmission fluid change?
I will when I’m between 50k and 60k miles.

This was not covered under the 2 year free maintenance?

@@brianaustin1328 gotcha
This service is not covered by the free maintenance plan, solely oil changes with filter change and tire rotations.
Where I bought my car honda dealer they don't cover that but they were charging me $250
Is that awd 2023 honda hrv?
Yes. AWD Sport
@@brianaustin1328i have the exact car! I’m at 23k miles. should i really pay $170 to change😭
No you should change it yourself lol@BUNNYnotFUNNY
Honda charges $250 for rear differential fluid change
mine is charging $170.. why is it so expensive
I think it's wild. Shouldn't cost more than an oil change. Even if they booked at the hour of labor plus parts.
@@BUNNYnotFUNNYbro get the pump at harbor freight only $10 and pump in the new oil in there less than 5 minutes youre done it's easy
forgot to add bottle of the additive that honda recommends nice try though
What additives?
@@brianaustin1328Hondas oil comes with additives in it
Sure it does 🙄
