Really a good input with regard to continuous lesson throughout life. I did not get the warning over Zerodha. All stocks will be held either through CDSL or NSDL in demat format which we can claim any point in time through even Zerodha fails. Same with mutual funds. We shall connect with fund house and redeem the units. Where is the issue here. Please anyone help to understand the problem.

For POA account, Karvy took shares from client acc and pledged for their own purpose. In Karvy UI, stocks were shown normal. As it’s POA acc, they switched off email notification from cdsl. Not everyone checks cdsl regularly. After forensic audit, Karvy owner is in jail now
I'm have checking my cdsl account monthly once. Stocks count and sip units and other details. If something happened to these apps will I be able to continue with cdsl or not?
POA is not mandatory in Zerodha, I am not sure about other online brokers. So, if you want to sell your stock you will be redirected to CDSL to authenticate the disposal by entering your code. So, I don't think this is not an issue anymore.
Sir regarding the online share brokers, what you said is , 100 per cent correct, you have reflected my long time opinion / fear. Some time I too tempted to open an account with online trading platform, but by common sense did not permit. I am also the one who learned a very bitter lesson out of Harshat Mehta boom period. 20 company shares with me , whose owners ran away/ closed business.

There is a liquidity risk. The risk of money kept in the zerodha ledger.
