The one thing that disappoints me about this figure, Is that they didn't include an alternate eye to make it look like the image on the box. He always looks like he's squinting rather than menacing
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! I'm not really sure how they would include another eye and keep sealed articulation or engineering design on this figure. It's not something that comes apart easily. I'm sure a lot of thoughts and ideas were bounced back and forth in the development of this figure. But in the end, it comes down to production costs and quality control when adding alternative parts or accessories that can change out.
@joseconcepcion6949 Wow! Nice finds for 9.99$. I'm also not really a big D&D collector. But this guy is a must-have for any collection! Thanks for checking out the review 👍
I just got this toy a few weeks ago. I love the hell out of it. Well worth the price. The gold base works great in many backdrops for photos. Merry Christmas, Brother.
Oh that's awesome you also picked up this figure! I seen it on ebay and looked at the picks. I had to have it. Once I took it out for review. I was so happy to have ordered it! What a great figure! Thanks for stopping in as always. Merry Christmas to you as well brother 👍
I LOVE this figure. He’s on my desk and I get to look at him all the time. He was literally my top figure of the year, you should check out my top 13 list. It’s probably way different from yours… actually what is your top 10, or however many, for the year?
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! Yeah this one of the coolest looking figures I picked up for my toy collection so far this year! I'm not a big D&D collector. I have a couple things now! This was a must have!! That's awesome your figure sits on you're desk! My Top ten figure list is all over the place. I might make a video on that! It's a combination of Neca, Mcfarlane, MOTU and now this Xanathar Figure for sure! I'll head over and check you're top ten out!👍
Figure of the year?? Tough question but off the top of my head, I gotta go: Two-Bad, from the Masterverse line. Almost a year old to me and he is still just the coolest looking, solid, most perfect action figure imo
@ROCCOTHEGREAT Thanks for watching the review! Inever really collected D&D figures in the past. But this Xanathar figure with that base was a must-have 👍
Hallo Manchild! This is a very cool figure! Reminds me of my beloved "Eye of the Beholder" (from SSI) games (which have Advanced Dungeon ands Dragon Rules).
Thanks for taking the time today to check out this Random figure I picked up and decided to review! I was always fascinated with the D&Ds Lore and creatures. I don't really collect to much of the figures or play the games. I have seen a mini Xanathar Figure and thought about picking it up. But I wished it was a little bigger. Well my wish came true with a little Random toy hunting online! I seen this and that Displacer beast figure. They looked cool from the images. In hand I'm really impressed with both figures as far as details, Designs and quality goes! But this Xanathar Figure is one of the coolest pick ups for me this year. I might make a Figure Top ten favorites video for 2023 hauls. This figure will definitely be on the list! I never played Eye of the Beholder. But heard of it!
I know next to nothing about D&D but everytime that I see this character I refer to Lopan's many-eyed flying head creature in 'Big Trouble in Little China' _OH, C'MON! WHAT IS THAT?! _One of Lopan's creatures! What he sees, Lopan sees!
Hey thanks for stopping in to check out this figure and review! I hope all is well! Yeah I know a little bit about D&Ds. But not much! I was always fascinated with this character. When I seen him online in this scale. I had to pick it up! I'm glad I did! What a cool figure! Yeah your right! He dose look like that floating creature in Big trouble in little China! I love that movie! Kurt Russel was awesome in that!
Great review! I bought one a while ago, but he's been in the box since I purchased. Time to open him up and play/display! I'm a vintage LJN D&D collector, and it looks like he'll fit in pretty well in that display.
Thanks for checking the review and sharing your positive comments! Oh, if you have one in box, you gotta take it out for display. It's just too awesome not to have out! The details and looks are incredible. The Vintage LJN figures were really cool and still hold up. I had a bunch of those as a kid, and I still have the fire guy. I think this beast could fit right in with that stuff! Happy Holidays 👌
Thanks for watching. Yeah he might be that Monster or an early version of this Xanathar. There might have been more than one that looked like this version. But im not exacly sure about the back history. It's just a really cool figure 👍
Thanks for that info bro! Yeah I looked a little bit up about the figure ad name. It's a mixed rabbit hole with D&Ds and the info I found. I'll just call it Xanathar! 👍
Yeah this one of the coolest Figures I picked up this year as a Horror figure to add to my collection. I can totally see a Custom of Cacodemon from Doom! Great idea! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👌
Just got this and the Displacer Beast from the Hasbro Pulse sale, and wow, these pieces are great! (The beholder is the size of a toddler head!) It's a shame there aren't any more coming from this series (as far as I've heard).
Thanks for watching and nice pick-ups on both of those figures. Yeah, I never really bought anything from Hasbro Pulse or D&D figures aside from some mini pieces. Both the Displacer Beast and this Behloder Eye Monster are incredible figures and very well built. I also wish they would make more like these figures from that series!
This is one of the coolest creepest figures I picked up yet this aside from the NECA dog thing. That eye is sick! Thanks for stopping in already man! Happy holidays 👍
They are all very tempting to collect! I know that feeling. These were some of the most interesting hauls I picked up this year. They definitely earned a Top Ten list for my collection! Thanks for watching 👍
Most definitely! I usually pick figures like this up to mix in my MOTU or horror collections! I'm not really a D&D collector. But I'm always open, minded with creepy monsters that just fit right in! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍
It is certainly a cool looking figure but I do have a couple of little nits to pick with the design. First, these things float... Why wasn't it made to sit on a clear post? Second, why in the world did they put the switch for the eye inside of the mouth?... There's all of those eye-stalks on the thing and any one of those could have been used to move the eye. You could get some great starts out of people if you could shift the eye while they're looking at it, having the switch in the mouth makes that impossible.
Thanks for checking out the review! I think the figure is really heavy and awkward to include a clear figure stand that would be high enough and yet not too large. I would think he would also need a big peg hole or plug hole in the bottom to support that kind of floating stand or from what I have seen with Clear stands that try to support a large figure like this. But maybe they just wanted to add more iconic pieces like his Treasure and Pet gold fish going back to his personal interests or collections of items in the game from what I have seen in images with this character. I don't think one of those eye- Stalks could work properly as a switch to move the eyes unless it was directly over the head. It would require additional linkage or a longer plastic rod that could be more brittle because of the length over the eye. I'm guessing Hasbro looked into all those things as far as Toy Engineering and Cost Productions go before making those decisions. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👍
They made smaller versions of this figure. I think it was a from a different series and Manufacture. Hasro decided to make this in this scale. It looks awesome! Thanks for stopping in as always to check out the review! Happy holidays man!✌️
@@rickytoddbotelho9555 Yeah some one else mentioned that name in the comments with this figure. The Xanathar is a place on the Dungeons and dragons map from what they said.

Thanks for stopping in as always! Yeah I'm not a big D&D collector and game player. But I decided to pick up both This XANATHAR Figure and that DISPLACER best figure from Hasbro pulse. They are both awesome figures. This one is probably the most impressive figure I seen yet!👍

@mariusbabii I never read any of the D&D books. I only had a few figures, as I mentioned. I personally liked that line that became spooky as you probably noticed many horror figures in my collection!

"Completely AWESOME BEYOND AWESOME FIGURE"!!!
Thanks for watching! Yes, he's a really Awesome look!👌
Xanathar is on clearance at Hasbro Pulse now, marked down from $50 to $20. Ordered!!
That's awesome! Realistically, a toy like thus, should only cost about $20 dollars anyway! Thanks for watching and sharing your toy haul pick-ups 👌
Omg just got this guy at my local Ollie’s for 9.99$ wow he’s huge and I’m not into d&d games cards whatsoever just looks sooooo cool love it 😍

Xanathar is a beholder, just one with a name and lore
