The magazine follower is orange, not the mag release, but only in gen 5. Also, you stated that the Glock 19 doesn’t have finger grooves like the Generation 17. 17 and 19 are models, not generations. In both the 19 and 17, generations 3&4 have the finger grooves, the generation 5 does not. Your “specific facts” are not accurate.

My Glock 19 gen4 has been extremely reliable in snow, rain and sunny weather, probably 3500-4000 rounds in it, but I will admit it gets cleaned regularly. The only thing I have changed are the signs and the extended slide lock, but remember that is just personal preference.
I have a Gen 19 with night sights, a Factory " Minus " Connector. As a lefty, Gen 5 Glocks are great. I work with it each day. Had a 17 too, but traded it. I still have a 43X for casual carry. It is IDEAL unless one has Big hands.
Carried the 19 as a service weapon, bought one too for practicing. Didn't like it at all for EDC. Clunky, grip uncomfortable, simply not s good fit. That said, do like the accuracy and reliability. So - I now carry my G 48 daily. Good fit, excellent EDC. Best EDC, concealed sidearm since the SIG 225 (still have that too). I highly recommend the G 48!
Ever cared for Glocks. Finally got a 19 a few years ago. Personalized it some and it is an excellent pistol. Unfortunately, arthritis interferes with my grip. I have no problem with revolvers and 1911s. Had to let the 19 go.
Good video. I've got several Glocks including a 19. It certainly is a great gun, but I'll have to disagree that it's a perfect conceal carry gun for everyone, especially for a new gun owner. It's not as easy to carry as many other choices, including other Glocks. "Conceal" means different things to different people. As with any gun choice, I urge new users to try before you buy. The 19 may indeed fit the bill. But make sure before you invest in the gun and holster.
When one begins to carry & conceal, one must buy loser clothing. Slim fit cut & firearms just give you the "tumor shaped like pistol look". Please, dont buy a $500-$700 pistol & buy a $20 walmart holster. At work, I carry in a Level 3 Retention Holster. Off, a nice leather one or a Fbus paddle holster. Retention is important as is not " Printing" under garments
I thought conceal means exactly that what's does it mean to you I've been carrying for years and even have tactical training you don't need hundreds of dollars wearth of equipment and holsters and clothes
I switched from Kimber to Glock 19 Gen 5 due to inability to draw weapon, cock it, aim and fire fast enough with single action. Realized that I must have double action. Best gun decision I've made. Makes going to the range more fun, too.
I got a 19 a couple months back. The 19 is my EDC and the 17 is my duty pistol. The 19 shoots far more accurate. I recently picked up a CZ and that 11 pound first shot is tough. I'm waiting for my new Spring kit and firing pin to arrive tomorrow. Then I can make an accurate comparison
I love my G19 Gen 5 and dubbed it Butter because she just feels so smooth, but I just IDK. Just a bit much to carry day to day for my taste. Amazing enough I fell in love with my cheapy Taurus G3C as my concealed carry, did some modifications that took the total from 297 to about 375 and been a fan favorite of letting the bulls run loose at the range with it ever since.

G19 is excellent option but for me the G45 was a better fit. The G45 is a G17 frame with a G19 slide…great shooting gun. G19 is still a solid option, though.
The big drawback to the G45 is concealability. The grip size is probably the single most important factor in concealability. So the 19 is more easily concealed than the 17 or 45. And the G26 is more easily concealed than either.
@@fredmyers485 Oh sure. There are factors other than grip size; it's just the most important single factor. I'm a big guy (6'1", 220lb) and with the right shirt I can conceal a G41...
@@aubreyharris166 That is true, but the larger mag negates the added concealability of the smaller grip, without gaining the added accuracy of the longer barrel. I carry the 19 with the 19 mag, the 26 with the 26 mag. But extra mags are generally the 17s, for the added capacity. Concealing a rectangular flat object is simple. You can just stick a couple in your hip pocket and cover them with a shirt.

Can't wait to go back in my Home country and use my G19 Gen5 MOS. Thousand Cartridges is not enough for me I'm thinking to spend 5 Thousand in 2 months vacation.
If you have one only for home defense, and are not into using it a lot otherwise, is it necessary to once in a while release the mag, and unload the rounds to let the spring relax ? I know, with revolvers, little to no maintenance is needed, but not sure if I can just leave a g19 in the closet with a loaded mag for a long period, and expect it to perform when needed.
Do you agree, Overall if you're looking for a versatile firearm whether it's used for home defense or concealed carry, as well as contained carry, you can't go wrong with the G19?
The 19 is the pistol I chose to use as a basis for developing my FATE, or Fully Automatic Target Engagement system. My laser, fitted to the rail, allows manual activation for threat escalation. A solid non-flashing green laser is emitted showing where the bullet would go. Just like they all do. However, if you are “ready to fire”, as is required to be in compliance with the second rule of safe gun handling, as you touch the trigger safety, the first millimeter of trigger safety motion activates the laser in flashing mode. This is why we call it Fully Automatic Target Engagement. If you need to deliver accurate and lethal rounds on target, FATE does that with NO operator input required. If you are in violation of the second rule, that is, you are not ready to shoot, then you are touching the trigger either accidentally or on purpose. If touching accidentally, then the flashing laser WARNS you that your finger is on the trigger. Accidentally and/or unconsciously putting your finger on the trigger is how negligent discharge can occur. If touching on purpose, then this is called “practicing”, and we all practice touching the trigger to gauge the accuracy of point shooting. However if you “practice” with a loaded gun, you have graduated to criminal negligence. There is no negligent discharge excuse if you are deliberately touching the trigger safety with a loaded gun and you are NOT READY TO FIRE. FATE gives you a laser when you are being attacked and must go directly to the trigger. Will save your life. FATE warns you if you have negligently put your finger on the trigger by accident. Might save your life. FATE improves hand eye coordination by allowing unloaded practice of pointing and touching the trigger for laser activation. Might save your life. FATE will document the exact moment you touch the trigger on your body cam. Might save your job. FATE, made by Trigger Point Technology. www.TriggerPointTechnology.com

Even though I don't like Glock I would have a 19 in a SHTF situation. The reason is it is so ubiquitous. Parts and armorers can be found nearly anywhere and, if you need ammo, 9mm is easy to scavenge
G19 is an excellent firearm, but , it's not for everyone. I shoot glock well but no amount of customization makes it fit my hand well. Nothing fits my hand better than the Taurus G3 series and though nearly half the price of the glock, it's not half the firearm by any means. If i'm willing to spend more, the CZ P-10 series is way more comfortable for me. Glock used to be the only legit game in town for polymer striker-fire pistols. No longer.
Glock is the Honda Civic of handguns simple design but just runs forever.. with that said I ran with the g2c and the sig p320 for awhile now I am on the slime line Glocks like the 48 ,43x,42 and the 30 I have big palms stubby fingers and those Glocks work for me

I have the 26. Get a Glock 43. It’s thinner. The 26 is a thick boy. With the 43, you can go with the flushed mags, making it easier to conceal, or even tucked-in with a shirt or in an ankle holster. You can go with the 43X magazine when you need longer grip (get a 43X mag rubber sleeve). With the 43, you have the option to go micro-compact or sub-compact (43X size) by just switching out the mags. With the 43X mags, you’ll have better purchase of the gun and faster follow-up shots than with the 26 with equal capacity, even with the pinky extension on the 26 mag.

You've obviously never fired a SIG SAUER West German made P226. 😅
@@DS..69 You obviously assume things you don’t know. Yeah, I’ve owned and shot a lot of them, and if it were better it would still be carried today instead of a Glock 19.
@@oleboy7615 Yeah, I'm not buying a Glock fan boys word. I've been a Cop over twenty plus years, and I'll take my P226 over any comparable Glock. Took less time then I thought to bring out the fan boys. I'd say it's a new time record.
@@DS..69 I don’t care what you buy! Sure, I like Glocks, and I like HK, and I carry M&P, so take your ignorant, assumptive ass out to play in the street. 🤷🏻♂️
It was really revealing information. Thanks for the video. Is the Canik Mete sfX introduction coming ?
G19 is excellent option but for me the G45 was a better fit. The G45 is a G17 frame with a G19 slide…great shooting gun. G19 is still a solid option, though.
The big drawback to the G45 is concealability. The grip size is probably the single most important factor in concealability. So the 19 is more easily concealed than the 17 or 45. And the G26 is more easily concealed than either.
@@OffRoadRN - yeah, it’s not a good concealment option for some but I often carry a G20 under a t shirt with no issues, so the G45 is no issue for me.
@@fredmyers485 Oh sure. There are factors other than grip size; it's just the most important single factor. I'm a big guy (6'1", 220lb) and with the right shirt I can conceal a G41...
The 19 will run with g17 mags but the 17 or 45 won’t run g19 mags. So you limit yourself that way. I run a 17 in mine almost all the time.
NAVY SEALS approved. Good enough for practically everyone
Should I get this for armed security officer
Hi guys I want to buy a Glock 19 but see there's a few variants. Whats the best 19 model to buy? I presently own a Sig P230 I want to bigger round gun. Thanks alot!!
Gen5 or gen 4 if you can find one
Can't wait to go back in my Home country and use my G19 Gen5 MOS. Thousand Cartridges is not enough for me I'm thinking to spend 5 Thousand in 2 months vacation.
If you have one only for home defense, and are not into using it a lot otherwise, is it necessary to once in a while release the mag, and unload the rounds to let the spring relax ?
I know, with revolvers, little to no maintenance is needed, but not sure if I can just leave a g19 in the closet with a loaded mag for a long period, and expect it to perform when needed.
Absolutely not. A magazine can remain with tension for years and work when needed.
Some ole timer told you that back when, today there’s no problem keep ‘‘em loaded 😊 it’s called progress in spring steel 😂
Do you agree, Overall if you're looking for a versatile firearm whether it's used for home defense or concealed carry, as well as contained carry, you can't go wrong with the G19?
Actually I have a Glock 23 GEN four with a 9 mm barrel awesome Firearm!

It is, in fact, the first generation of electronics being embedded into polymer frame firearms. If you are interested in pursuing your own FATE equipped Glock, let me know and we’ll work something out.
Yes sir yes sir
I do not know much about holsters so I was just looking for advice on concealable holster recommendations for the Glock 19. I am left handed
I sometimes use a galco Miami classic shoulder holster. Expensive around $200 but easily worth it.
I love my Gen5
I’ve got a G44 which is the same size as the G19. I wish I would have bought a G19 instead of my G17, lighter & more compact. Great Glock simplicity & quality.
I carry one Gen 5.. is great for my hand size
The Glock 19 is an awesome weapon. I like the .40 Cal version of it, the Glock 23, My EDC, better though.
Smart choice, shoot 4 different calibers by swapping out barrel/mags, Lone Wolf is a good barrel choice!
You think the military carries this weapon because it is stylish?
Nope, it is because it works.
Even though I don't like Glock I would have a 19 in a SHTF situation. The reason is it is so ubiquitous. Parts and armorers can be found nearly anywhere and, if you need ammo, 9mm is easy to scavenge
I've got a Glock 43x Mos, 48, and a 19 gen 5 coming to me soon. Next pistol might be a 26 not sure
Definitely get the G26 next.
Anybody tried the New Glock Performance Trigger. I put a " Minus " Glock Fact. Connector. Got about 4.5 trigfer... hear performrance is better ????
G19 is an excellent firearm, but , it's not for everyone. I shoot glock well but no amount of customization makes it fit my hand well. Nothing fits my hand better than the Taurus G3 series and though nearly half the price of the glock, it's not half the firearm by any means. If i'm willing to spend more, the CZ P-10 series is way more comfortable for me. Glock used to be the only legit game in town for polymer striker-fire pistols. No longer.
Agree 100%.
Glock is the Honda Civic of handguns simple design but just runs forever.. with that said I ran with the g2c and the sig p320 for awhile now I am on the slime line Glocks like the 48 ,43x,42 and the 30 I have big palms stubby fingers and those Glocks work for me
@@jeremiahbass4418 you just made the most important comment, man, which is you had to find what works for you. I get pretty tired of listening to folks trash a platform just because they prefer another. There are a TON of well made strikerfire pistols now (yes, most DID go after Glock in their design and market) and that's a good thing!
BEST GLOCK 19 POUR LA VIE BRDT TRAINNG 💪💪💪
Glocks always work I’ve had them all my 17 gen 5 is edc no prob sure smaller guns are easy to carry but as a shooter I like the 17 in a branching remedy I don’t get too worked up over the grip angle or trigger just hi vis sites.
Great firearms but definitely wouldn't recommend it as a 1st carry without training
no gun should be carried without some training!
I prefer to carry my Glock 21 Generation 4 as my EDC.
Gen3 is best.
What about price
Dude was shooting that s&w like it was a 44 mag
I bought the 19X for $300 and I been carrying it for over a year now. It's a damn good piece. Out of the 4 this one and my Gen 5 22 .40 is my go too. If I need more gun I'll grab the 21 Gen 3
Easy to carry underneath the waist with a hoster
It’s a well-made rifle did I hear that correct
Lolololol 🤣
Who wrote this script? Grip thickeners?
I don’t daily carry a Glock but keep them on each side of the bed and use for duty
you are right, that's why Sig P365 is my favorite gun to carry!
What was he right about? And why do you prefer the p365?
Trash.
Nice gun
The gen5 19 is great, just like the gen5 23, but get it with Ameriglo sights and put a McNally flat faced trigger system in it. Great gun after that.
I need this weapon for security work. Where can I purchase one for cheap?
Glock 19 gen 3 do not have serrations on the front of the gun.
If you lived in a state that only allows you to use a 10 round magazine would you still want the 19 or would you get the 43x?
19 with prebans
Just get the Glock 26
@@SpyderWebbX I also have a Glock 26 and have shot the 43. Get the Glock 26. It can take any of the popular Glock mags. And in my personally opinion is just a great time to shoot.
@@johnsmith-oh9is The question was Glock with a 10-round limit. I don't see the point of getting a fat Glock 26 when you can't use a Glock 19 or 17 mag, much more absurd buying longer Glock mags limited to 10 rounds only just to have the full-length grip.
I can imagine all the man bun Glock haters
I have a Glock 43 that I bought in March and I love this gun!
Hi what is the current price for this gun thanks
About $539
How does the pistol perform in extreme cold temperatures?
Great
Wow....this is called someone who knows just enough to get himself in trouble
I just got a viridian green laser for mine
Less than two minutes in you show a Glock 19 bb pistol, and a Glock 17
I like the GLOCK G43X.
Ambidextrous. Not ambidextrious.
I dont believe this narrator fully understands what they are talking about.
The mag release isn't orange from factory. That's an aftermarket part they were referring to.
When glock made the 19 they hit the proverbial nail over the head
I'm a Glock man and the BEST CCW on my body 24/7 is my Sig P365! 13 x 9mm Rounds! (with the "extra 2 mag" - except for Commiefornia). It's tiny and fits in your belt (appendix carry) and of course has plenty firepower. My Glock 19, which I love, stays in my safe, and comes out on range day only...
I love Glock 19 gen 5,my questions are_how many rounds does it carry?and how much does and if am in Nairobi, how do I get it as we do not have a branch here
15. 9mm in standard Mag, 16 with 1 in tube
Unless you are in an anti gun Nanny State, the 19 gen 5 comes with 3 15-rd mags. The Glock 17 mag, a 17 rd will fit too, plus Glock sells 24 rd & 33 rd 9mm mags that fit a Gen 5 19. I carry a 19 everyday, just took it off before I answered this. I am a Lefty. Gen 5 seems to eject shell case better than a gen 4 or 3. Glock changed several internals on the Gen 5. Prior to Gen 5, I was hit often by ejected shells in middle of forehead since I shoot left handed. Trigger is better in Gen 5, barrel improved.
0:39 “the Glock 19 9mm..” image showing an Umarex Glock …. 😅
If you fall out a plane i think worrying about a gun going off might be the last of your worries
glock 43x
Why is the Gen 1 so valuable?
