I did a conversion from an old worn-out Briggs that was on a Wheel horse cheaper version called the Work Horse. From a 16 hp Briggs to an 18 hp Predator. I used hockey pucks as spacers under my motor mount plate: 1 to stop or alleviate vibration from motor thru frame making for smoother ride. 2 To stop the shock when pulling in the PTO like snow blower or sickle bar mower. I am thinking of doing a bigger displacement Diesel this summer.

Hard to beat a predator! Budget friendly with a huge aftermarket support. I like the hockey puck idea. I was worried about the vibration from this little diesel engine but it seems manageable so far. Thanks for watching!

Good break down of the injector pump issues, I'm surprised with all the junk on it but I haven't had any dealings with the small diesels. Looks like they forgot to clean the packing grease off of it before they assembled the motor

I just wish I’d known that I could pull the injector without pulling side cover. Would have saved a helluva mess lol! Thanks for watching !

Great work on the engine swap! I’ve definitely made similar rigs with bolts and sandpaper! I’ve never board out a hole with it like you did, but I use it to clean the inside of pulleys after their rusted to crankshaft and things.

there might be something on the belt cover that keeps the belt from coming off.

I have that same thought when I was editing the video. The side cover helps a lot with belt deflection so I’m sure that was part of the problem !

That's pretty cool . Just wondering do you have a good muffler for the 314 H that you would part with? I picked up a 314 and am trying to restore it a little here and a little there and a stock muffler is on the wish list.

the epa had put out a repower band with diesel motors on lawn mowers. be it to mow lawn or to tool around ur yard. did this 2 months ago. your in trouble oldman .. hahhahhaha o wait thats california crap hahhaha

Uhh... As a machinist I wanna smack whoever gave you that garbage quote. To bore out that pulley is such a quick job, I myself would feel bad charging $25. But that would be a fair (but on the high side) price anyway. That's well under an hour of work.
