You should run amp steps
I fear they would not offer the rock chip protection that traditional steps offer.
I kinda don’t like having the steps hanging out never thought about the protection part .
Question for ya. I’ve noticed that on dark streets at night making left turn, it’s kinda dare on the side of the truck so there is a possibility of hitting stuff on the left and even the right. I know you have the boards with the white side light which should help with that. Do you think the yellow would help too? I’m planning on ordering these but only with the yellow. I think the white is too bright for my taste. On a side note have you experimented with side lights so that that dead dark area would be minimized when turning?
I agree, the whites are bright and the amber would probably be a better route for less intensity. Yes, the lights do help with visibility on the sides and front corners quite a bit.
Are this legal in all 50 states? Have you had any issues with the police?
No issues here, you will need to check your local laws.
what are your views on GM recommended Top Tier Diesel? Is there a work around that you use since this fuel is very hard to find?
I use additives here and there, mostly I do not. GM has never asked us techs to verify receipts of top tier fuel use.
Is there a biodiesel you would use?
Why did you get rid of the original steps? Those looked nice. Found your channel while trying to decide gas vs diesel for the ZR2.
They did look nice, I agree. These ones had some more perks to them that I wanted to try out. When I first got the truck, I couldn't decide which steps to get. Now having both, I think they both serve their purposes very well.
@@DemonWorksdo you end up kicking the cab/paint with the high clearance steps? My at4 came with dealer option sport steps which I don’t love the look of but the function is good. Was looking at the high clearance ones for a few weeks but didn’t consider that. May have to consider these or amp steps for retractability.
Those are awesome. I wonder if they have an option to have the switchback (white light) only turn on for rock lights and reverse....gonna go ask!
Hey ! This is where I failed you guys ! I left that part out, there is a switch to have rock light functionality, which I do have. Flip the switch and it overrides all settings and leaves the lights on white.
I know this is unrelated, but looks like the derringer is dead 💀 😢

Are they dot approved? Will the troopers give you a ticket for them? They will give tickets for any under glow lights and lights that are not dot approved around here.
Great question ! Based on my prior research, In my state of Utah, it is my understanding these are 100% legal as long as they are not flashing red or blue.
In some states it is only legal to have white lights on in the front with the exception of reverse lights of course. I would prefer steady ambers on the sides anyway. I love the product and great video!@@DemonWorks
Is there a better single or double oil filter setup for the 3.0?
Not that i know of, I have seen some people build a kit from amsoil parts.
What did you think of the truck off road? The suspension system?
I have a 2023 1500 Denali, with the factory retractable running boards. I didn't have any problems with the retractable boards on my 2017, however, twice so far, these boards have locked in the outboard position and wouldn't go in. When driving the kept going in and out, banging. Took back to the dealer and they had to reprogram the computer. I do like the hazard, turning and running lights on these boards. Would you recommend these boards over the factory retractable boards?
@demonworks Why did you change from the running boards from the OEM High Clearance Assist Steps?
The channel has always been around testing out new product and these steps were on the list. Happy to have them and share with others.
