9 years later and this still goes hard!!! I love Jimin in the 2019 performance, you can really see the change in his confidence compared to their debut.
Jhope, Jimin and Jungkook were best performers who caught all eyes of Armys at that time.
This is the second song they performed after debut along with No More Dream. I love how they are already roasting some idol rappers in bigger companies, and how they are telling people they worked hard and they ARE the real deal! Some of their early songs/ lyrics were visualizing their future even back then they hadn't made it yet! The power of visualization/ mindset! Since it's their debut era, the budget was so low, i think they spend most on their debut song No More Dream MV, so this one the set is very simple just plain checker board.

It cracks me up that BTS put 15 year Jungkook on stage screaming the name’s Jungkook the scale is nationwide. Well they were wrong about the nationwide it is worldwide but I absolutely love they were so confident in their music back then. I know they didn’t know if they would make it it at that point but they knew they made good music & I love that. And I completely agree with your thoughts on them being a case for law of attraction.

"He's feelin it" .... You are again point on. Jimin lives for performance. When he was younger, he always tried to perform harder, look harder, everything harderrr. But one thing, his soul that was softttttt. Now he doesn't shy away from acknowledging the fact that he is the softest person from inside. And since he has accepted himself as he is... He has unleashed the power of showcasing his feelings through dance. He can switch pretty soon, can mould in any emotion. He once said that he wants to look cool when performing.... And now look at him - the coolest performer I have ever seen.... (Btw I'm not saying this bcoz he is my ultimate-est bias 😂.... He became my bias bcoz of all these qualities, and most importantly his beautiful heart ❤️)

Where do they find the oxygen to perform live? Yup hey train an absurd amount. Singing and rapping while on treadmills. But theyve always stood out for their live performances since day 1.
Seeing how much they’ve grown up is insane! BTS never got to perform this song for the award show when they debuted so this is kind of like fulfilling what they missed. 2019 BTS still performed with the same tenacity of 2013 BTS. Truly respectable

Loved that you reacted to both performances! This song always makes think of how much Taehyung and Jin (of course, all of them, but those two in particular in this case) have developed their vocal capacity, not only in terms of technique but especially in terms of find their own vocal identity when they sing. When this song first came out they were only beginning to discover themselves musically, it's really nice to see how far they've come. I love this song and the choreo too!
PS: It's also really nice to see how far you've come in your BTS journey! To think that a year ago you wouldn't know much about them and now you're praising them individually, talking about how they're all grown up and so hahaha I was smiling throughout the reaction thinking of that!

This MAMA performance was such a flex.
BTS had just swept the MMAs of all the top prizes a week previous (first artists ever to do that) and were doing the same thing this night at the MAMAs. This performance was going back to their debut, basically flipping the bird to all the industry people who had tried to crush them or were still trying to crush them by saying “Remember these kids? Look how good we were right out of the gate. Suck it!”
I mean, honestly, who goes on an award show and performs a 6 year old song that is not up for any kind of award? They did other songs too but this one was the

There’s another live performance of this song that you might like. It’s from their Muster in Busan for their anniversary. They recreated their Gucci outfits that they wore in the MV and their music shows but this time it’s the real thing lol. Because the ones they wore back then were just printed since they couldn’t afford the original.

In a lot of BTS live performances and concerts I have noticed they go heavy on the rock guitar and drum instrumentals. I think this is part of the reason why a lot of people in the fandom are begging for the day BTS comes out with a 'Rock' album because it just sounds so good when they do it.
Side note: I see you smiling now in all of your BTS reactions as opposed to when you started. BTS also gave me the ability to smile again after not doing so for close to 10 years.
I just now realize they use a lot of backing tracks and I'm so glad for it, because with all that dancing sometimes if it wasn't for them they probably wouldn't be able to keep singing. The improvement over the years and the growth in charisma is so good.
There have been a few times where you have said you may cut some of your 'tangent' out, and have ended up not cutting any out at all, and I want to say thank you! We are here to hear what you have to say. We want to not only see, but hear what you have to say, and you always speak about the guys like the true ARMY you are, so of course we want to listen. Anyone that skips those parts or asks you not to pause and give us your thoughts, well imo they just want someone to watch along with, but again IMO, that's not how a 'reaction' works. In the early years of BTS, as a beginner they really are good. They were promising in their field. Watching them and their music is like they have this enchanting charisma that would want you to look for more about them.
The boys also used to reflect on how in that first MV, the Supreme and Gucci was all fake. And they worked their way up to where they’ve been able to perform and generally wear these brands with no concern.
It’s not about the money, but about who they have become. Brands even know that they can’t ask for BTS to be brand ambassadors, they have to hope that BTS likes their items enough to want to wear it. That’s how big they’ve become.
I think this is the one that I also watched also in 2013 but not their very debut and yesss!! they were already so good live pls 😭😭😭 Bangtan never disappoints! biting my fingers not to throw shade @ others.. I'm throwing shade at others in inside my head though 😭😭😭😭

The debut BTS era is eager to show themselves to the world. for the Army's is establish on July is still small but now BTSxARMY are grow bigger and bigger and their fanchant is wild. and they are good and better by the time. But their passion and their dances move still the same as back then. their using the ghost band whenever their performs live or concerts. Their first year they had two comebacks. Then they released their first full studio album at the beginning of their second year with their 3rd comeback. You can see a lot of growth in the first year, and their sound started to change with Dark and Wild, then the next album would be a big change with their Youth ERA. Their are no bad songs on their albums, even from their beginnings. And their messages were fire from the beginning. Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. Love this song too. This was their 2nd title song. A total hit to me. No More Dream is their first song. So bloody catchy. Love the choreo. They killed it. So cute. Worked so hard. Hobi practiced till he bleed. Tsk. My eyes go to Jimin, next JK and who ever is center. I love JK's rap here. And his hairstyle was fire. Jimin came up with the hat trick. Brilliant. He also came up with a jacket choreo they used in a MJ cover. Later on they upgraded that idea for their Butter live stage in USA. So impressive. Ur the only one who shares my views on this song. Like I thought the MV was cool until I saw the info vids. I was like what?! They had very little money. The staff are amazing. And the guys sang on a treadmill to build up stamina. They practiced 16 hrs per day. Their work ethic is impressive. i think in the early days they had to do 8 weeks of shows twice a week. So 20 plus times they performed this. Bulletproof pt1 was a song they did pre-debut. the song was released in 2010 by BTS original lineup (RM, IRON & Supreme Boi), and was later re-released by the current members as part of the BTS Festa on June 9, 2015. so when the song was first released only RM was part of the song but they did release a version where all members are there.
Your reaction to the Bangtan babies was hilarious "Early, very early BTS.... JK rapping!... everyone showing Abs?!... wait, it's Suga... I gotta go back..." 😂 I agree with you that these boys were different from the beginning. They had a (No More) dream, that they wanted to put out in the world. Hence, they worked very hard and went through the idol system which was a smart marketing /business strategy (with Bang PD).
At 1:45 - RM mentions ultimate king. It's one of the games played in their very first variety show called Rookie Kings. I would watch that and The American Hustle Life before getting into Run BTS episodes. It will give a better picture of their humble beginning.

When I first listen to this song, I didn't like it at all. I thought I hated it. I didn't search for it or stream it by choice but I somehow ended up listening to it by chance. Don't know why but it keeps playing when I tried to watch something else. After listening to it a few times by chance, this became one of my favorite songs. And watching the performance made it 100 times better.
It's funny how songs have to grow on you, I have so many songs over the years that needed to grow on me before I could appreciate them.

I believe (I may be wrong) that when John Reeves asked you if you are ARMY now, you said you wouldn't call yourself ARMY yet After watching your reaction to this and No More Dream, I suspect that MUST have changed. It seems as if you really got them in these performances more than in their later work.
I feel that when you (one) know that this is their root, and every branch following from BTS' growth comes from this, and carries this gene, you hear the real message, and it means much more than just the slick and lyrical presentation that sits at face value. They have grown up and matured, and so has their music, but the message is the same. And I love that. 💜

The thing about a lot of BTS lives, you won't be hearing the same version of the same song at all times. Like we could only wish we had all the versions of their lives in spotify cause they're all so amazing. Like Dionysus has a trap version, Life Goes On has an alternative version, and if you haven't yet seen it yet, Arson's lollapalooza version will make you cry. At least I did! It's why going to all their concerts and shows even if you've seen them before is worth it.
Oh and if you love the guitars, you need to watch Class Idea, in their concert collaboration with Seo Taiji, the "father" of kpop. I promise you will love it!

The 2019 live was on award show, they often do new arragement for songs they performed, there is a lot remixes etc that we only heard one on award show or concert and if we want to hear it we have to watch this moments bc there is no audio, ehh it is so sad bc latest Idol and Fire concerts arragments are soooo good. I remember watching it live and in awa with this gitars, and of course they never give us this remix, ah.
Before this song they performed "N. O." honestly you should watch it from intro and this two songs, it is first part of show 😉

This was great! 😁 I loved watching the MV and 2 different performances with you. I think it was a great idea you watched an early and more recent performance, its really good to see their evolution. Every performance is different and there's so much to see you can never catch it first time. Like the fact that Hobi folded in the MV and both lives but you only properly caught it, or seemed to take it in, in the last one. 😃
I really like the live rock version as well, and notice it's also sped up a bit.
Will be good to see multiple versions of lives from some of their other older songs in your reactions. I want to mention again to please include the ARMYPEDIA live performance (live Band Ver.) from 2019 when you react to No More Dream - it is so good. 🎵
Thanks for explaining regarding the sound with live performances. I hope it doesnt worry you too much or you don't spend too much time trying to adjust sound for live performances - it does sound like it can make the recording /editing process unnessesarily complicated for you. I personally like having the understanding of process's and how things work, and will keep in mind regarding sound volume difference for live performances when watching your videos.👍

Well, their agency was small, with not much money, so their MVs were quite austere, and the managers, producers gave some money for clothes, they lent their cars for some MVs (Run Official MV, for instance)

I'm hoping you get around to watching their MMA 2019 performance. It is their most legendary. The only song in the performance that you haven't reacted to is Mikrokosmos. They have other songs, but they don't actually play any part of the song that is recognizable to the original. The rabbit hole is so deep and you have barely dipped a toe. You haven't touched 99% of the stuff that makes BTS legends. I'm excited for you.
Edit: "I Need U" is arguably the biggest thing to ever happen to BTS. If you continue the "Rise of Bangtan" series, or just about any of your reactions, you're going to run into something that's got to do with "I Need U". So many people get really excited about the mv that they forget about it's contents. If you do delve into this video, it portrays a lot of heavy topics like drug abuse, alcoholism, murder, abuse and self harm/ suicide. Proceed with caution if these might be triggers for you.

With heavy hip hop songs Doolset is very literal and it is ok bc it is translation, but sometimes it make some double, etc.
Hobi said about being nothing yet, bc it was their first EP and they were only rookis, they started so they have "nothing" yet.
