Dave- if U move tensioner to inside of the key against the center post (so full ramp on outside end of key) U could add a row of pins blocking the tensioner hole? Might have to ramp the tensioner

Think about how much design went into this lock, then add the ability to execute the construction in such a precise manner. This piece of work goes way beyond what most of us would consider locksport. Congrats to Dave for creating this, and for Bill to be able to explain it to all of us.

We imported those SB locks back in the 90’s. It was not easily picked but impressioned easily. The quality of those lock were just ok. Dave’s lock nice.
The draw back to that lock design was master pinning. It only had 3 depths.

The lock looks gorgeous and I really admire the craftsmanship!
I don't nearly have the skills or equipment to even try picking it but I still think that the design has some room for improvement. I suspect that the weakness in this design is the central post that is made of brass and can be forcibly removed, allowing the pins to drop inside the keyway. Central post should be manufactured from hardened steel, so it can't be grabbed by a tool or bent until it breaks. Also, the way, how the post is attached, must be carefully designed - maybe nail-shaped design works, so the post can be bent but not forced out.
Good luck Dave, designing unconquerable lock that is also a piece of art!

Next version: tensioning hole shallow perfectly round with boron hardened sleeve to make it harder to use a cutting tool to tension by biting into it--and positioned directly behind the pins.

The reason locks are so bad is because customers are happy to pay less for a lock that isn't as secure. We don't live inside bank vaults.
So, unless Dave could make a production line that makes these locks to these high tolerances at the same price point as worse locks. He's not going to make a penny unfortunately.

Those Gerda locks are very popular in Poland, I have it on my door and only after few videos like this one I've learnt how good they are. They are quite cheap and the key works like very loud whistle so good for mountain hikes too! 😉
Also, they can be turned 2 times from outside but only once from inside so while you lock your house from outside, the burglar who enters through a window won't be able to leave through a door (as a "moving company employeer" for example). I had to wait in the window waiting for a neighbour to ask them to open me from outside when someone forgot and locked me inside with two rotations ;)
