    Ill be getting this and hopefully the new manual heat press comes out in a 16x20 size so i can buy that too.

    The best demo I've seen on this tumbler press. I just bought the garment press and ordered the ecotank 3230 today. I'm primarily a sewer and quilter so looking to see what I can do with sublimation and fabrics, and flat objects to start with. The tumbler press looks like it works really well.
    Have you tried using a strip of shrink wrap around the top and bottom instead of tape...wondering if that might be easier for people who may have arthritis or dexterity issues. 🤔

    Hello Marilyn. I was drawn to you because we share the same first name.🙂 I'm so glad I watched this! Although I'd watched others, I used your time and temperature and a close facsimile to your taping. I went with your placement of the seam while pressing, in front and in back instead of at top and at bottom. I also used the butcher paper as a cradle. My tumbler came out PERFECT! It was only my second time using the HTVRONT Tumbler Press. The first time was good, but your method is less work and better results. Thank you.

      Thank you so so much for your very positive comment!!! I have only used shrink wrap when sublimating in an oven. I really love using the tumbler presses, but I am a big tape person:) I have gotten much better results by the way I end the tops and bottoms of the tumblers and how I tape them. I was very frustrated with my first few in the press that I wondered why I even got one. Now, it's the only way I sub them unless I want to show the oven method on a video.

    I just ordered the HTV Ront (gave up on Cricut coming out with one) and will be following your method. Do you use the same time and heat for other brands of tumblers?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Marlene! Thank you for watching the video. I tend to do less time and less heat these days. Often, I use 385 for 50 seconds, then rotate 180 degrees, then another 50 seconds. However, with other presses that have time and temp programmed for tumblers, I sometimes go with their pre-programmed time and temp. I feel very safe at 385 for 50 seconds, rotate, and another 50 seconds though on all tumblers.

    I ordered mine 3 weeks ago from HTVRont but it arrived with plug pin broken. I was so disappointed at the same time desperate to complete my first skinny cup tumblers. So I decided to replace the plug and get on with it. I found out that it had delay in turning on or setting button. The first tumbler was okay but the setting I used was the wrong setting so I went back to watch a video by HTVRONT which shows that timing is 240 seconds at 390 whiI did. This seems too hot as I noticed spot burning. In all, am okay with it but will have to look for another tumbler press by a different company sooner as us this one as a backup tumbler press

      The same thing happened to me. I got my press for Christmas as a surprise and opened it and the pins had snapped off on the plug. Hubby emailed Christmas night and had a reply in the morning asking if it was OK for them to send out a new one. New one turned up on NYE and the pins were bent! I could have cried. But hubby checked and was happy that they could be bent back and didn't need returning. They need to sort out how they package it.

    Which side of the paper do you use with the paper because it doesnt tell me

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If the paper you have doesn't have an obvious back side, the package should tell you which side is the print side. Since it apparently doesn't, I would print a small design on one side and try to sublimate it onto a very small piece of polyester fabric to see. Then I would mark the packaging with the print side. Good luck with this.
