    Do you have a video showing how to put the seat belt straps back in? They have to be unattached at the top to get the cover off. And now that the puke is cleaned I cant figure out how to get the top of the straps through the back.

    • @LuiIacobellis
      @LuiIacobellis  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, unfortunately I do not. As per the manual, it is not recommended to remove the straps as that could compromise the integrity of the unit. I typically soak the straps with dish soap and water and let it sit for 1+ hour. I then rinse the soap off and then proceed to disinfect with high acidity vinegar. Its tedious but it manages to remove any foul odors.

      How do you soak the straps if you cant remove the straps? And there was vomit everywhere I didnt wait to go inside and look for my manual. I got the milk vomit cleaned out of his carseat and the back seat of my car.

    • @LuiIacobellis
      @LuiIacobellis  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@heather6445 I remove the cover entirely so there is no fabric left on the seat. I'll either use a bowl or the hose to wash all off of the vomit and then I will use a bowl of dish soap and water solution to thoroughly scrub and soak the straps hand. Its entirely manual and tedious but its worked for me. I do wish there was a way to remove the seat belts but its pretty standard from what I've seen that manufactures discourage this.

      Exactly! I had puke in the buckle and it wouldn't close, so I had to take all the straps out. This video does not help with the reassembling of the straps

    Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat.

    We have the exact same seat for our 1 year old and the seat always progressively slides down to where our daughter is staring straight up to the ceiling of vehicle. How to fix from sliding down?

      Sorry for the delay. Can you clarify what you mean by the straps? In my video, I don't actually remove the left and right harness / strap that secures the child into the car seat.

      @@LuiIacobellis Hi! In my case I had removed the harness straps from the “T bar anchor thing” so I could get the plastic pieces off to clean them. Anyways to reattach the harness straps to the T bar, we had to take apart the car seat 😵‍💫 along with having a mental breakdown haha. We know for next time to leave the straps alone 🤦🏼‍♀️ thank you regardless for the video!!!

    This video would be 100% better if it used a tripod and showed us all the two hand steps. As it sits, I’m still unclear on how to slide the large cover over, and how to wiggle on the back protector.

    I am unsure of when to adjust the seat, babe is almost 30lbs, 14months old... So I know he should still be rear facing, but how do I know what angle to recline the seat, and when to remove the extra head piece (NB insert), and when to switch him front facing... The Manual wasn't as clear as I'd like

      I also found this somewhat confusing. I believe the regulations also vary from state / county / province. I am located in Canada and we can visit local fire stations for additional guidance and support on installation and setup. I found this useful. Hopefully there is a similar offering where you're located.

    This is the most intuitive part of reassembling the car seat. Unfortunately, when a child throws up all over the straps, I’m gonna need to remove those too.
    I have never been so frustrated with a car seat in my life and I have had them for 14 years. We HAVE to be able to remove the straps. And it HAS to be easy. I came so close to throwing the piece of crap away and emailing evenflo a load of expletives.
    I ended up taking off the entire back with square screw bit and since I knew how car seats worked to an extent I was able to put it all back. But now I’m pissed and evenflo won’t get another dime from me.
    Moms that have to clean up after a child’s blowout or throw up don’t need this stress. I’m all about safety for our children but I’ll not have my car smelling like excrement. Do better @evenflo

      Hi there, I've also found myself in the same situation as you and was quite frustrated. The straps always get dirty when there are accidents as you have described and not being able to remove them easily makes cleaning and disinfecting them incredibly difficult. Hopefully EvenFlo listens to this feedback and updates future products. Thanks for the comment & watching!

      Hi just a side note for future readers (I know it's been months):
      You should NEVER submerge the straps in water. Just spot cleaning with a danp rag / mild dish soap and water. It will compromise the straps if you get them totally wet.
      Spot cleaning works fine, I've done this after many 'accidents'' and seat still looks new.

      I cannot thank you enough, I just got this seat and was trying to practise assembling and dissembling it only to find myself unable to reattach the straps😭😭 took off the back panel and it’s good as new but wow that was a bad few minutes when I couldn’t figure it out!

      Sorry for the delay. I'm sure you figured this out by now but in case you haven't you want to take the full cover piece and slide it over the top so the side pads slot on top of the side protectors on the left and right. I just posted a tutorial showing how to disassemble it which might give you a better angle. Hope this helps! th-cam.com/video/i3S8WCAVzig/w-d-xo.html
