YOU FORGOT TO INSTALL one MAJOR 1st ITEM! The big TEATHER STRAP with HOOK(reads LIFT to RELEASE) it connects to the rear seat hook of a car. Had to take it all back apart after following this video. FIRS|T THING- The fat end hangs over back of seat then slide the thin end between plastic back & head rest plastic ((no covers on yet) it is attached by turning flat hook sideways & sliding it through towards THE BACK OF THE seat !!!

The belt removal and reinstallation shown here works on a new COSCO seat purchased 1-20-2023. The enclosed (with car seat) booklet is not very helpful. This video will really help you figure out how to adjust both lap belt (in slots) and shoulder straps (in slots) way better than booklet.
