Thank you for the feedback. The collector current is 1.5mA and the emitter and diode currents will be about 1.5mA too. In practice, I have seen some diodes have 0.5V across the anode-cathode terminals. In addition, this is just an example for education purposes.

isn't a Forward voltage of 0.5 Volts a bit low for a diode at 3mA? An 1N4148 has around 0.65V at 3mA.
