I found one of these a few years back, absolutely mint condition, I’m not sure it was ever fired, had the original box, paperwork etc. it’s a bit on the heavy side for a .380, to be truthful, it has become a safe queen, I take it out twice a year to clean and oil it up, I will be passing it on to my grandson, provided our government hasn’t become completely totalitarian by the time he’s of age.
Very nice. Reminds me of the Walther PPK and the H&K HK4. I have the latter in 380 ACP and also, finally, thanks to your friends at The Attic, in 32 ACP. And yes. That rear sight is definitely over to the left.
I owned one of these, but sold it during the pandemic for a nice profit. It's a beautiful well made pistol. I found it to be pretty heavy for a .380 acp conceal carry weapon. I believe its correct that Sphinx now operates under Kriss in Switzerland.
KRISS and Sphinx parted ways a few years ago. The original creator of Sphinx and his team went back to their hometown of Interlaken, Switzerland and began manufacturing Phoenix firearms. I have featured several of their Phoenix pistols in my channel. Thank you very much for stopping by.
@@MDpolo hometown of Interlaken? Sphinx originally were made in Porrentruy, french part of Switzerland, they still make cnc tools today. They made the master, grand master, 2000 and tools. How I know? My father worked there as a cnc mechanic. Before they moved to central Switzerland, and started making overpriced polymer crap for the american market. This one was made in Solothurn, I should ask him why, you can find them for something like 800$ in Switzerland.
Beautiful workmanship and elegant design. In those respects, it reminds me of the superbly beautiful Beretta Model 85 .380 DA\SA Cheetah. So beautiful, but not particularly fun to shoot - direct blowback design hard to rack the slide and harsh recoil for the caliber punch.
Very Nice! I have a few Ruger LCP pistols, and also a Sig P238. The latter is a very nice SAO pistol, but I wouldn’t mind having the DA of the Sphinx. 👍👍👍
That's like Walther meets Beretta made as a side job of a watch maker. I like DAO. Not a Iooker to me. I'd be hesitant to carry it, cause I see the value in it.
Looks like you were starting to get into the groove with the second mag. It's a fine gun, but not something I'd carry. I'm a jeans an T-shirt guy. I'd have to buy a tux, or at least a bespoke three piece suit in order to carry that pistol.
Looks a little off to me. I think it’s an awesome and neat gun. Very different. Would I carry it today? Probably not. But purely bc I don’t like little carry guns and if I were to go for something in that size and caliber I’d probably opt for something polymer. Do I think it’s viable as a carry gun today? Sure. I think 380 works just fine for most applications. What really matters is how often one practices. Someone who shoots this weekly is probably going to outperform someone who carries a G17 but only shoots it once or twice a year. Just my two cents.
Thanks for showing us that gun. I certainly can appreciate precision craftsmanship. In my opinion guns like this and all .380's for that matter are obsolete. With modern micro 9's being small and high capacity, I no longer see a place for these smallish 380's. The few of them I have ever shot are at least as snappy as a 9mm. That being the case, I would not compromise to the ballistics of a 9mm "short and weak". That's a neat gun though. Thanks for sharing.
That’s a gun you’d be loading and unloading all the time because while carrying you’d have to show everyone all the time. I’d keep that as a true tuxedo gun but not at lib parties……no, wait….. especially at lib parties.
@@MDpolo MP, Glock, Sig have undeniable reputation for reliability for the last 30 years, thanks to their more modern design. the AT380 is a dated design
Never seen one of these before. Very nice pistol.
Not common, but it is very nice! Thank you very much for stopping by.

They are a bit on the chunky side but that’s part of what makes it a joy to shoot. Glad that you own it and that you took the top to stop by.
beautiful gun. was not aware of this. thank you for sharing!!
You are very welcome. Thank you very much for stopping by.
This is my first gun. I still have it. It looks great! 😊
Nice pistol! I can see the quality of the design and build in each of its features. I would prefer it over a polymer offering without hesitation.
I really like it. Thank you for watching!
Very cool pistol, not a huge 380 guy but I would not mind carrying this one

You shot that well my friend! Looks like the recoil is on the lower end for 380 Auto Pistols. B9USA Sr.
I’m sure that I will do much better as I spend more time with it. It’s a little gem. As always thank you for taking the time to stop by my friend.
A True James Bond Pistol! 🤘🏼
It really is. Thank you brother for stopping by!

Looks like an upgraded Tomcat
Al
Much, much upgraded. Thank you very much for stopping by.
I have one like it!
How do you like it?
@MDpolo worked out really great, love it.
How does this compare to the sig p238 and Kimber micro raptor 380?
I don’t have any experience with the micro raptor. But it is much higher quality than the P238.

The more I shot it, the more I liked it. Perhaps the smoothest DA trigger that I have ever fired. As always, thank you for stopping by.

I'd love one in 32 acp 😊
It is curious that the .380 is often thought to be an inadequate stopper, but have never seen any takers to get shot by one!
😊
Very nice gun. High quality, Swiss craftsmanship. Not for me though as its' double action only and a bit heavy for pocket carry
I appreciate your comment. Thank you for watching!
When it has a Swiss connection the price will only go up.
Don't like the hard lines. The PPKS is so much better looking.
BTW, if the rear sight is off to the left. You would be hitting to the right...
You are correct. I misspoke. Thank you for pointing it out.
I believe you have it backwards, rear sight left to shoot left, now the front sight you would be correct !
Kinda looks like a Walther P-5.
I can see that. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Seems to have a lot of take up.....

an MP is smaller and more reliable for 25% the price of this gun. boo.
I’m not sure about the more reliable part, but they’re definitely cheaper.
