My closest friends are those that were there for me when I got cancer. The people I now call my best friends came through when I needed them whilst others were less supportive. I hope I am as good a friend.
to answer the table talk: what i look for in a close friend is someone who is unconditional supportive. i struggle a lot with mental health and it’s especially difficult in quarantine so having someone who can help me through my lows is very important. and of course i return the favor! i think just having people in our lives that are genuinely good and supportive and loving and non-toxic is really really important
Agree on the friendship. Also a person who has a good sense of humour and someone you can be silly with but at the same time someone who takes you seriously enough to be there for you when you need it most.
I see a close friend as someone who is comfortable sharing their boundaries, is honest with me when I’m in the wrong but also listens to what I have to say, will include me in conversations where I don’t completely know the people around me, open minded, trustworthy and we can joke around with each other/ talk or even sit in silence for hours on end
HUMOUR, trust, respect, same energy, loyalty (honestly the worst thing that can happen in friendships is when you put more effort into it than the other person until you're completely drained. Took me a long time to figure out that that's not normal or healthy for me.)

I agree with all the traits you've listed. "Active trying" has been the most important to me in recent years. People aren't always going to be their best and aren't always going to have those qualities when you need or want them to have. But if I see that there's an active intention to be better at whichever, those are the relationships and people I hold onto the hardest.

I’ve always struggled with over thinking, anxiety & panic attacks because of some life incidents that occurred when I was 12 I’m now 24 but I still haven’t been able to mentally & emotionally grow out of that stage. And often people misunderstand or miscommunicate my thoughts / feelings .. further leading to then friendships ending it becoming frustrating & stressful So in a close fried I would look for understanding, reassurance, patience & adventure! What I look for in a close friend: Other than the 5 you mentioned I find it important for us to be understanding of each other's personality. Like they should be okay to give me space once in a while because I always need some alone time no matter how close we are & I'd do the same to them. So glad that my close friends are very understanding & we still feel connected despite not contacting/meeting each other every single day
For me, what i look for in a friendship is honesty and respect! I would want someone who is not afraid to tell me how it is instead of sugar coating it, and someone i can talk with for hours or be in complete silence with them without getting the feeling of awkwardness. Someone who is self aware and high in emotional intelligence. In all aspects, just someone who is fun, honest, respectful, and has integrity.
Honesty is a verry important quality in a friend for me. Feeling like im making things awkard or that im annoying is a big struggle for me, so when people tell me (nicely) stuff thats bothering them or things they think i did wrong i apreciate it a lot, cause then i can change for the better.
What I look for in a close friend: is also everything you said, and on top of that, someone that I can be vulnerable with and share my stugggles with, and not be judged or blamed for it. Yes taz this is the safest place I have discovered on the internet. Because of certain reasons I can't call my house my home, so I find little bricks of home in the outer world, your aura is one brick I am grateful for. Sometimes, some people think of depression and anxiety as just negativity, you prove it's not.
For everything you did in the table talk, yes yes and yes. Loyalty is a big one for me. And I have had bad friends and been a bad friend and I’ve learned more about myself from the experience, still slowly forgiving myself for being on either spectrum of these toxic relationships

Because I have been betrayed by my very best friends and I feel like if they would have been more honest in our friendship than maybe things would not end the way they did. A good friend is someone who makes me feel that I can be completely myself. I used to think I had to be what others wanted me to be. I was like a chameleon adapting to the person I was with for fear of not being liked. When I met my now closest friend, they made me realize that I could be my weird unusual self and they actually liked that about me. Changed my life!

I'd say kindness, honesty, understanding, and genuineness are the biggest things I look for in friends and it's often difficult because a lot of these things we look for are rather invisible, but I think that at the end of the day it just takes time for these connections to form, and that's completely okay.
Hey, my idea for you ;) : Hearty oat bags: Ingredients (one serving): two eggs, 38 g oatmeal and 40 g milk (e.g. oat milk), a herbal mix The ingredients must all be thoroughly mixed and finally put into a round pan. There you just fry it all. Once finished, you can add avocado pieces, tomatoes, cheese, ham, sauces and cucumber to one half of the “pancake”. Then the whole thing is folded up. What do I look for in a close friend? Some people are draining emotionally no matter how much of a lovely person they are or how much I like them. I can honestly say that the people closest to me are the ones who after spending hours with them I feel energized as opposed to drained. I didn’t realize this until my parents started pointing out that I seemed sadder after spending time with some people and always seemed super happy after spending time around others

A good friend is someone who makes me feel that I can be completely myself. I used to think I had to be what others wanted me to be. I was like a chameleon adapting to the person I was with for fear of not being liked. When I met my now closest friend, they made me realize that I could be my weird unusual self and they actually liked that about me. Changed my life!

a close friend to me is someone who has my same sense of humor (ofc lol), who truly gets me and understands all the things i go through, someone i can talk to and have truly fruitful convos w/ and get deep, while also being the weirdest versions of ourselves.
From a close friend I need deep conversations, understanding, laughter and loyalty. And my way of recognizing a good friend is that you can be silent with them and it isn't awkward, that's how I know :)
I look for loyalty, quirkiness and acceptance in a close friend. Honestly, me and my close friends, we just click so there's also that aspect of compatibility but it's on another level, more trusting than that of a friend or acquaintance.
i always look for similar type of humor, good communication, someone that is trustworthy and honest. i have huge trust issues so it’s hard for me to believe that someone wants me just for me so it would be a lot easier if i could just communicate with them and don’t feel scared that they’ll laugh at me or get angry for something that i feel or think:)

I'd say kindness, honesty, understanding, and genuineness are the biggest things I look for in friends and it's often difficult because a lot of these things we look for are rather invisible, but I think that at the end of the day it just takes time for these connections to form, and that's completely okay.

Hearty oat bags:
Ingredients (one serving): two eggs, 38 g oatmeal and 40 g milk (e.g. oat milk), a herbal mix
The ingredients must all be thoroughly mixed and finally put into a round pan. There you just fry it all. Once finished, you can add avocado pieces, tomatoes, cheese, ham, sauces and cucumber to one half of the “pancake”. Then the whole thing is folded up. I love them so much and it‘s REALLY easy and quick :).

What do I look for in a close friend? Some people are draining emotionally no matter how much of a lovely person they are or how much I like them. I can honestly say that the people closest to me are the ones who after spending hours with them I feel energized as opposed to drained. I didn’t realize this until my parents started pointing out that I seemed sadder after spending time with some people and always seemed super happy after spending time around others
The print you loved is called paisley. Very popular in like hippie/1970s clothing, so hopefully you should be able to find lots of that print style in vintage shops xx

I agree with the points u said taz. I also think its really important to have a good understanding of each other. Personally ui belive that if you arent putting effort into understanding each other the friendship would not last very long. and what i mean by understanding is not like you have to know every little thing about each other. rather to put in the effort to understand the intentions, emotions and reactions of the other person. Anyway thank you for the space you have made here, it made me feel less alone.
In a close friend I like to be listened to and to not have someone sway my opinion into something negative. But mainly just to be heard I always end up being an agony aunt, then wonder whether that friend even knows me when they never let me talk. Love your videos taz! Xxx

What I look for on a close friend is trust, I have to feel comfortable being my self, I used to have friendships in which I had to pretend to be someone else because they didn't like some thing about me and it was really painful to hold in to the friendship knowing it was bad for my mental health

What do you look for in a very close friend? I think just being able to laugh together en have a great time is enough for me. I don't know many people that I would like to spend time with, because it's often kind of awkward for some reason. So someone who can make me feel comfortable and make me laugh, is a great friend to me.
