Secondly: Where I live, we also only have charity stores. Which used to be for those with less, but now it is just full of young people like me, looking for a vintage scoop. I can tell when I’m about to buy an item, that the cashier barely wants to give it to me, she’ll just ignore me for 10 minutes even though I’m standing right in front of her screaming.

They're typically held in a huge warehouse space for one day only. You fill your bag as much as you like and only pay by weight, £15 per kilo! They have SO much stuff and hundreds of brands too.
Look it up online, there might be one being held near you soon. Hopefully you see this! Xx

I’ve been on such a thrifting buzz recently!! In the last 2 weeks I’ve been thrifting 3 times lol, I barely buy anything because thrift stores in NZ are even worse (& more expensive) than in the UK lol, but I’ve been watching a lot of thrifting videos and I kinda want to incorporate some DIY into my next thrifting experience!!

I am so envious of charity shops outside London. I used to love them when I lived outside London and it was all cheap and cheerful. Now I still shop there because I think it's better for the environment to buy second hand, but honestly, I don't see the bargain when a Primark dress costs £12 new, and £10 at the British Heart Foundation once it's old... I used to find so many great clothes for so little money, and it makes you so happy to get a bargain! Now it's super rare I find these super cheap great finds.

You should make a video where you look through all of your clothes and donate and/or sell them. Only keep the clothes that you really like and wear a lot, it feels really good to have a closet filled only with clothes that you really like and you wear a lot. You’ll have more space for new, theifted clothes as well☺️

The one thing I miss most since moving to the UK is our thrift stores in Canada!! (also we say ah-DEE-dus rather than AH-dee-das in Canada as well)
My roommate and I used to get most of our clothes from thrift stores bce 1. it's so cheap, 2. it's so much better for the environment, and 3. it doesn't contribute to the fast fashion industry so

*Everyhting5Pounds is da bomb for bargain clothes*. Plus it's all brand new stuff!! I've gotten items from places like H&M and NewLook before. A lot of the items are from Paris brands I've never heard of but the quality always matches or even tops stuff I have from high street places. If you love a bargain...you know where to go. 😄😄

I literally had that conversation about the thrift stores and goodwill shops in USA being the size of our Tesco Extras and our big Asda shops.

(Ni-key) also American thrift shops mostly look like that. We do have ones that only save good items but they price them really high so it's not even thrifting.

Yikes K most charity shops don’t have the space to buy a washing machine to wash the clothes so they have to hope the donator washed them beforehand x
