How to Coverstitch Neckline and Armholes Using a Double Fold Binder. Coverstitch Machine Uses.

Today on my sewing vlog another coverstitch machine tutorial: how to coverstitch a neckline and armholes using a double fold binder, complete with the construction of the tank top. In this video I'm using a double bias binder with inlet 36 milimetres. I'm sewing a self-drafted pattern, but the technique is used with any tank top that requires binding. It's tricky to bind curves so we'll be sewing the garment flat and then joining the seams and securing the seam allowances to sit flat inside the neckline and the armholes. This type of binding is very useful for sportswear and baby clothes.
I am using 3 machines in this tutorial: Juki MO6714DA overlocker, Babylock Ovation set up for 2 needles wide coverstitching and Juki HZL DX7 for a lockstitch.
If you are using a different coverstitch machine and/or generic binders, you might need an adapter plate (and any damage caused by improper use of it might make your guarantee invalid)
