  • Two medical grade tankers were escorted by police cars and motorcycles through the counties of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire in England, UK over July and into August, 2020.
    The 225 tonne tank, belonging to Air Liquide was being used to store Oxygen or Nitrogen for use in medicine. During transport by Collett Ltd they were empty. Due to the abnormally large size, different police forces from each county were available to shut down junctions and escort the convoy. Various staff were on hand to cut trees, lift BT cables and move roadside furniture to allow for the safe passage of the vehicle.
    The heavy loads were the 3rd and 4th out of a total of 4 to pass through the counties of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire over a 6 week period. Due to the difficult movement of the abnormal load and the fact it wont fit on motorways, the journey of each load took a week to travel over 100 miles from Ellesmere Port in Cheshire to Coleshill in Warwickshire.
    You can see my other videos of the first and third load below.

      Correct, most of these would of gone to the nightingale hospital's, or upgrading the ones already at hospital's

    Was this not Boris Johnson`s latest delivery of hot air? hope the convoy does not have to do another U-Turn ! ... Seriously, incredible operation, going by the smiles from the BT
    guys with the poles, they must have been on double time, thank god no one farted and struck a match! ..... Those bike cops are great, weaving to the kinds and on lookers.
    CobraEmergencyVideos ... you bring us some incredible things, thanks so much to everyone involved.

    Nice video. The only thing I'd add is that the Staffordshire marked Volvo is an S60 D5, not an S80, and a pretty old one for a police car, being a 61 plate, registered from 1st September 2011 to 29th February 2012. I'll bet that one has some tales to tell...

    when it said it went through Tamworth i was like "wait this summer? i dont remember that (then it said Fazeley) oh so you mean it went though Fazeley not Tamworth got it" i mean i understand its literally connected to us but its not part of Tamworth its actually Lichfield and wiki quote "Fazeley is a small town and civil parish in the District of Lichfield, Staffordshire, England." neither is Hopwas that is also connected to Tamworth i personally dont understand why this is a thing but for some reason it is. annoying as they have no supermarkets of their own and Lichfield is about 10 mile away so our roads get more crowded and sometimes make traffic jams(by helping the a5 because it meets the m42 also on the outskirts of Tamworth) from one end of Tamworth to the other causing a 5 min journey to take 30-45 mins

    Why do they need such a big tank tho, wouldnt it of been easier to use a regular size tanker?

    • @Kebaskia
      @Kebaskia 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because they're storage containers, not transportation containers.

    • @TheBananaman491

      @@lauraandlisa381 because it would take building infrastructure to weld the tanks together at the end site aswell as hiring people to weld it or transporting them up there meaning spending more money on cranes, hotels and pay for the welder and still needing an escort for the pieces of the tank because you cant just cut it into little bits if you did that you may aswell build it from scratch on site i would also like to say we arent the only country that does this its literally every country as the video said it arrived by boat to the uk i would assume from Europe and about the oxygen(or nitrogen) it also said in the video its to make medicine

    I'd be as far away as possible from this spectacle because oxygen is the most flammable gas. Ever heard of spontaneous combustion?

    • @Georgie94
      @Georgie94 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Might be empty as I don’t see any warning signs saying flammable on the truck I believe a tanker would come and fill it plus would make it heavier if it was full
