Thanks to strict new laws turning unauthorised migration into a criminal offence and a controversial deal with Libya, Italy is cracking down on immigration.
‘Look at them - ugly mugs!’ a citizen patrol group is targeting immigrants. Groups like these are now legal and meant to help the police fight drug dealers. Some residents are sceptical: ‘We should integrate those people, not hunt them down.’ But others welcome the new laws. ‘No more Mr Nice guy, we’re fed up!’ Negative press has turned immigration into a devil in the public’s eye but it seems Italians no longer need to fear: the government has closed the gateway to Europe. Libya is preventing migrants from leaving and Italy's pushing back boats intercepted near Lampedusa. The need for political asylum is not considered. Most drastically, doctors are now obliged to report migrants without documents to the authorities. ‘I think it's a stupid law’, says this MSF doctor, ‘almost all of us will take no notice’.

Why would the Italians want them there? What is it that they contribute? All they do is complain that the Italians are racist for the simple fact that the Italians won't give them what they want. Those people have a country and that's the country they should be in trying to make it a better place instead of taking rubber boats to Italy with no money, no clothes, no place to live and needing the citizens of Italy to support them with their hard earned tax money. I'm not sure what the Egyptian guy at the end thought he was going to find when he came to Italy . Perhaps he thought an Italian official would be waiting at the shore jingling his new house keys and telling him "your new home is down on the left. Let us know if you need anything else"

Economic immigrants tend to have no IDEA how life really works in their desired countries, nor do they both to do their due diligence in finding out that there are poor, poverty stricken people, an overabundance of crime and violence and not NEARLY as many public supportive services as they’d anticipated.
They don’t care how it effects the “little people” that make up the majority of the work face that allows the 1%’s GLOBALLY on every single continent, in every single country to be wealthy enough to fix world hunger overnight. If hundreds of thousands of people swarm a nation how can you expect any sort of comfortable infrastructure to be waiting for you? It would be like 500 people showing up at my house without notice. Am I going to have beds, food or any sort of accommodation for them? No, of course not. It's not Italy that is bad. This is how it would be in any country when this many people show up in such a short period. The countries simply aren't ready for them. Some of the onus is on the immigrants as well to properly plan their lives out and to not have unrealistic expectations.

Let me answer this- Italy's Immigration Laws: Tough but necessary or just plain racist? = Tough and necessary. Most countries have a similar law and it's not racism. Migrate to immigration countries like the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore. Italy for native Italian same like Kenya for Kenyan. Each country have its own law, culture, language unique to its people same like you have in your native lands.
Kenya is for everyone you dog... There are many Indians, other Africans, Jewish people and westerners who live in Kenya.
