  • It's been 4 years since I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for a job and I'm listing out the pros/cons about living here. Was the move worth it? Hopefully this will help some of you!

South Bay Area has the best weather on the planet! Hot in the daytime and cold at night which is perfect for sleeping.

Not good location for you in you work in Silicone Valley, but my favorite place in the Bay Area is Sonoma County. I was raised and lived in Marin for 20 years and then moved to Reno. My older brother and SIL lived in the East Bay for over 30 years, lastly , many years in Orinda. That was a beautiful area but they retired and left.
I love the Bay Area and it has some huge issues and has had very bad government and I don't think it's a bad thing that many people are moving out of the area. It needs to breathe and people need to start voting for different government.
San Francisco in the summer is terrible and anyone from the Bay Area knows that. Fall is a beautiful time and also Spring. Cross the bridge and once you hit Marin you'll get sun and the temp will be 20 degrees warmer.

The East Bay has warmer weather. Such a large difference of weather depending on where you live in the Bay Area. The city areas are the ones that struggle with the car break ins. Doesn’t happen as much elsewhere in the bay as long as you don’t leave valuables out for everyone to see.

i just did... the money is great... but at the same time your money doesn't go as far here. i think if you live below your means it's not a bad gig for a little bit.

On point! This is still the best place to live post pandemic. The news doesn’t depict real life in the bay

Yeah it's attitudes like this that are responsible for what I'm talking about above. Just armies of simpys falling over themselves to simp for some chick. So if you're a guy trying to actually find work or *gasp* get promoted, expect to lose out to chicks like this no matter how unqualified and disagreeable they are. Another example is "Babe Engineer". I think the answer is to tax the ever living $hit out of these Silly-Con valley "tech" companies, because they're obviously 95% fluff and dead weight and are used as glorified social clubs

Don't take her advice. Now usually living life as at least a non-obese woman in the USA is like tutorial mode. Now the M to F ratio for singles in SF is like 4:1. So that's like insane turbo tutorial mode. Way beyond that actually. It would be like being royalty or a celebrity, really. So all doors just fly open for chicks like this, and nothing is an obstacle. Keep that in mind when you hear advice like this.
